10 Highest-Paid WWE Superstars [2025]

Published

on

Having taken control of the WWE in 2022, Triple H has overseen a spike in popularity that the company has not seen in many years. With a collection of primed Superstars, engaging storylines, fantastic matches, and enhanced production changes, the WWE has made itself, once again, the professional wrestling company that everyone is talking about.

This renewed popularity has meant that the WWE has had the chance to join Netflix, as well as merge with the UFC and TKO, in what are two financially jaw-dropping transactions. But it is the finances of the WWE Superstars and who the highest-paid wrestlers are that will truly drop jaws, with 888sport.com having revealed the top 10 highest-paid WWE wrestlers.

Below, we take a look at some of the highest-paid athletes right now in WWE. The numbers mentioned will merely be base salaries, with the minimum base salary of a WWE Superstar already being revealed. This list won’t take into account financial extras, such as merchandise sales. It should also be noted that this list only covers Superstars who are members of the active roster on at least a month-to-month basis. This means that the likes of John Cena and Brock Lesnar are not included due to the fact that they are special attractions with limited dates.

10

Rhea Ripley

$6 million per year

WWE Rhea Ripley

The only female WWE Superstar to be featured on the list is Australia’s own Rhea Ripley. The 29-year-old has been a mainstay of WWE programming for years, having completed the trifecta of having won a World Championship in NXT UK, NXT, and on the main roster. She is the seventh Triple Crown female champion and fifth female Grand Slam champion, with her popularity only rising by the week. A constant in the main event scene, Ripley is one of the few current female superstars to have transcended the business and reached mainstream popularity, so it is no surprise to see her earning as much as she does.

9

Jey Uso

$7 million per yearJey Uso

The first, but not last, former member of The Bloodline to be featured on this list is WWE’s infamous Yeet-er, Jey Uso. A man whose career has gone from strength to strength in recent years, Jey has also been recognised as being half of one of the best TV tag teams of all time, but his work as part of The Bloodline storyline saw him elevated to a main event level. The WWE creative team saw his potential, too, booking him to win the 2025 Royal Rumble. The 40-year-old would go on to defeat Gunther at WrestleMania 41 to become World Heavyweight Champion. Controversially, his reign would only last a few months, but Jey remains a consistent player in the main event scene.

8

Finn Balor

$7 million per year

Finn Balor

Judgment Day member Finn Balor has been heavily featured during the Triple H era of WWE. The Irish-born Superstar has been known to be a favourite of the King of Kings following their work in the black and gold NXT days. Having previously had a tumultuous main-roster career, Balor has finally found something that has cemented himself as a featured performer on WWE television, something that many fans believe should have been the case years ago. He is being paid handsomely for his efforts, too.

7

Kevin Owens

$7 million per yearKevin Owens

Another man who finds himself in the $7m pay bracket, Kevin Owens, has massively exceeded expectations as to what he could achieve in WWE after debuting on the main roster in 2015. Able to perform effectively as a face or a heel, Owens is a master in either position. With two highly-acclaimed WrestleMania main events to his name, the Canadian proved he can do it all. His classic brawl with Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38 receives just as much praise as his match against The Usos with Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 39 – a bout that is regarded as one of the best in WWE history. Currently, Owens is on the sidelines recovering from a serious neck injury. The 41-year-old will hope to get healthy and have one last main event run before he hangs up his boots.

6

CM Punk

$8 million per yearCM Punk

The man responsible for one of the greatest returns in WWE history, CM Punk is one of the most polarising Superstars that the industry has ever known. Since making a shock comeback to the company after nearly a decade away at Survivor Series 2023, though, ‘The Second City Saint’ has established himself as a true franchise player for the promotion. Now two years into his latest WWE run, Punk has headlined multiple Premium Live Events and had several memorable feuds, including rivalries with Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins. As part of his storyline with ‘The Visionary’, the Chicago native even managed to achieve his lifelong dream of headlining WrestleMania when he, Rollins and Roman Reigns contested a Triple Threat match at ‘Mania 41 in Las Vegas earlier this year.

5

Drew McIntyre

$8 million per yearDrew McIntyre

From one-half of WWE’s greatest modern feuds to the other half, Drew McIntyre is now a consistent player in the main event scene, although he has frequently come up short when gold has been on the line. Having initially been brought up to the main roster as ‘The Chosen One’ in 2009, his main roster career gradually petered out and he was released in 2014. To his credit, Drew was rehired by the company in early 2017 and has worked his way up from NXT to become a cornerstone of the main event scene. McIntyre’s commitment to constantly evolving has landed him one of the most lucrative contracts in WWE today. It remains to be seen if he can land another world championship run as he heads towards the back end of his career.

4

Seth Rollins

$9 million per yearSeth Rollins at SummerSlam 2025

One-third of one of WWE’s greatest-ever factions, The Shield, Seth Rollins has never looked back following an infamous heel turn against his stablemates, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Having essentially been part of the main event scene ever since, he has established himself as a first-ballot future WWE Hall of Famer. A six-time world champion in WWE, Rollins helped carry Raw for years, prior to a shoulder injury that forced him to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship in October 2025. Seth has battled back from injury before and will no doubt be determined to do so again and return to the top of the card.

3

Randy Orton

$10 million per yearRandy Orton

The first entrant on the list to make eight figures annually, Randy Orton’s career speaks for itself. From his Legend Killer days to his mid-2000s heel work, Orton is one of the greatest of all time – and he’s still delivering today at the age of 45. ‘The Viper’ has had some of the greatest feuds in company history with his feuds against Mick Foley, Edge, John Cena and Seth Rollins all being standouts in a career that is guaranteed to result in a Hall of Fame ring.

2

Cody Rhodes

$10 million per yearCody Rhodes Celebrates at WWE Backlash

Cody Rhodes’ WWE career has been remarkable. Having left the company in 2016 in pursuit of an opportunity that was more creatively satisfying, his run since returning in early 2022 has been nothing short of an overwhelming success. Over the last three years, ‘The American Nightmare’ has worked opposite John Cena, The Rock and Seth Rollins. His most famous feud, though, was his two-year-long rivalry with Roman Reigns, which saw him finally get his hands on the WWE Championship he had dreamed of since childhood. Now a two-time world champion, Rhodes is the company’s top attraction on a full-time basis, and he’s well-compensated for his efforts.

1

Roman Reigns

$15 million per yearRoman Reigns Enters a WWE Arena on SmackDown

Roman Reigns is WWE’s highest-paid performer. Similar to Seth Rollins, following the break-up of The Shield, ‘The OTC’ never left the company’s main event scene. However, it took until 2020 for Reigns to truly click, as he morphed into his ‘Tribal Chief’ heel character. This transformation would ultimately lead a 1,316-day world title run that smashed every modern record. Reigns’ value to the company means that he earns a fortune despite only working limited dates. It’s a luxury afforded to him because of his immense star power.

Newcastle Agree £25m Deal to Sign Ewen Jaouen

Newcastle United have agreed a deal to sign Reims goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen as their first transfer of the summer, according to Canal+.

The Magpies had a disappointing campaign in the Premier League this season, finishing 12th and missing out on European football entirely, while they were humiliatingly eliminated from the Champions League following a thrashing at the hands of Barcelona in the Last 16 stage.

Eddie Howe is now keen to strengthen the squad and rebuild, with some key first-team stars expected to be on the move out of St James’ Park, but they have now sorted a deal for their first arrival.

Newcastle Agree Deal for Jaouen

Ewen Jaouen

According to Canal+, Newcastle have agreed a deal worth around £25m including bonuses to sign Reims goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen.

Jaouen, who has been described as ‘astonishing’, is regarded as one of the top goalkeeper prospects in world football at 20-years-old, and was a key part of the Reims squad last season that reached the promotion playoff final, although they missed out after suffering defeat against Metz.

The Magpies are keen to find a new number one goalkeeper with Aaron Ramsdale returning to Southampton after his loan spell, while there have been concerns over the performances of Nick Pope.

The veteran stopper has seen his contract extended by 12 months until 2027, but Jaouen is now expected to come in as the new first-choice stopper, having agreed a four-year contract to move to St James’ Park.

Newcastle are understood to be delighted with the deal to sign the youngster, who has previously had strong interest from Chelsea, and was even identified by Real Madrid as a potential long-term replacement for Thibaut Courtois.

Newcastle Ready for Big Summer

Eddie Howe

After a disappointing campaign last time out, Newcastle know they are facing a big summer ahead of them, and Howe knows that he can’t afford to get his business wrong like he did last year.

Anthony Elanga, Nick Woltemade, Jacob Ramsey, and Yoanne Wissa all signed but struggled with their performances, which contributed to their poor league campaign. Now, Howe must rebuild without some top stars, including Anthony Gordon, who has already joined Barcelona in a £70m deal.

Goalkeeper has been a position they have been looking to strengthen for several years, but they have finally secured a player who they see a huge future for, and could hold down the role for years to come.

Everton Eyeing Move to Sign Arsenal Star Gabriel Jesus

Everton are eyeing a deal to sign an Arsenal star alongside Ben White to bolster their squad this summer for David Moyes, according to Football Insider.

The Toffees had a mixed campaign this season as they finished 13th in the Premier League, earning just one point more than they earned in the previous campaign, and now the manager is keen to strengthen his squad to start climbing the table and competing for Europe.

One position that has been earmarked as a priority is striker, with Beto and Thierno Barry both having frustrating seasons at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and Moyes is looking at a long-term target to fill the void.

Everton Eyeing Gabriel Jesus Deal

According to the report, Everton have identified Brazil international Gabriel Jesus as a target to bolster their attack.

Jesus, who currently earns £265,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium, returned from a serious knee injury this season to help the Gunners earn their first Premier League title in 22 years, but often found himself as a third-choice striker behind Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz.

The 29-year-old is now in the final year of his contract, and it has been reported that Arsenal are ready to let him leave. However, they have put a £20m asking price on his head, and are ready to keep him beyond this summer if nobody matches the price.

As it stands, Everton are not keen to pay that much due to his injury problems and age, but they are interested in getting a deal done. Another hurdle to any transfer would be his mammoth wages, with Everton unable to pay anywhere near what he currently earns.

Juventus, AC Milan, and Brazilian side Palmeiras are all showing an interest in Jesus too, but they also have similar issues to Everton in getting a deal done, which means this is a move that may happen later in the window if people’s circumstances change.

Everton Need Reliable Goals

Jesus is someone who is a proven winner, having lifted the Premier League title on five occasions in his career, and he knows where the back of the net is.

In recent years injuries have troubled him, but there’s no doubting that he would bring a higher level of talent and quality to the Toffees squad if he joined, and he’d be a great mentor for a young striker like Barry to learn from.

If Moyes can get the club to find an agreement on finances, then this could be a shrewd bit of business for the new season, and it could be the difference between European football next season, or another year of languishing in the middle of the table.

Scotland Fans ‘Heartbroken’ as 2026 World Cup Travel Permits Withdrawn

Published

Fans of a 2026 World Cup nation have been left devastated and ‘heartbroken’ as last-minute changes to travel permits threaten to prevent them reaching North America this summer.

There’s now less than a week to go before this summer’s showpiece international tournament gets underway. Joint-hosts Mexico welcome South Africa to the iconic Estadio Azteca on June 11.

A record 104 matches will be played over the coming weeks, culminating in the 2026 World Cup final at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19.

Fans Impacted by Late ESTA Status Change

The build-up to this year’s World Cup has been overshadowed by various controversial talking points, including potential travel visas impacting various countries.

Scotland were not among the countries expected to be affected. However, some fans from the British nation have been impacted days before the tournament begins.

UK citizens wishing to go to the United States for up to 90 days without a visa must apply to the country’s Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).

But dozens of supporters who filled out the form say their application status changed from “approved” to “travel not authorized” this week.

Impacted fans have told BBC Scotland News that they now stand to lose thousands of pounds in travel costs due to the changes.

One of those fans is 43-year-old Scott Braid, who was due to fly to Boston on June 12 with his wife and two children.

He booked the “once-in-a-lifetime trip” after his ESTA application was approved, but a late change has left his travel plans in severe jeopardy.

“Out of the blue on Tuesday, I got an email that said there’s been an update on your ESTA status,” Scott, who travelled to America in 2023 with no issues, told the BBC. “Since I’ve done that ESTA there’s been absolutely no changes to my circumstances.

“That’s the frustrating thing, not knowing why this has happened.”

FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirms the change has been made with less than a week to go before the World Cup begins

Scott has encouraged his family to press ahead with the trip in the hope he will be able to join them during the tournament after securing a visa appointment in Belfast next week.

Brothers Andrew and Nelson Speirs find themselves in a similar situation and have also arranged an appointment at the US consulate in Belfast next week after their ESTA status changed unexpectedly.

Their ESTAs were initially approved on December 15 and remained that way until June 3, when the system updated and revealed they were no longer permitted to travel.

“It’s not given us very much time to do anything about it,” Nelson, who has spent a combined £10,000 on the trip alongside his brother, told BBC Scotland News.

“I don’t think it’s fair, they shouldn’t authorise somebody to go then take it back. We didn’t book anything until we were authorised.”

Booked as part of a trip for Andrew’s 40th birthday celebration, Nelson says the news has left him “heartbroken”.

Scotland begin their 2026 World Cup campaign against Haiti on June 13 before taking on Morocco five days later. They wrap up Group C with a mouth-watering clash against Brazil on June 24.
