Secrets Behind Thierry Henry’s Incredible Body Transformation in Retirement

Published

on

Former Arsenal and Barcelona forward Thierry Henry may have been retired for some time, but his physique appears to be as impressive as ever after he revealed the secrets behind his remarkable fitness this week. The 48-year-old, once known for his agility and speed with a lean, athletic frame, has since bulked up and added significant muscle following his transition into coaching and punditry.

It was that aforementioned nimble build that helped him become arguably the greatest player in Premier League history during his time with the Gunners. Across 258 league appearances for Arsenal, Henry scored 175 goals and registered 74 assists, winning the title twice and finishing as the league’s top scorer in four different seasons.

These days, he can often be seen covering the Champions League for broadcasters such as TNT Sports and CBS Sports Golazo, where he regularly appears alongside pundits like Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards. But while you might not notice it when he’s dressed sharply in a suit and tie for the cameras, the Frenchman has quietly undergone an impressive body transformation behind the scenes alongside his partner as he shared images this week.

Thierry Henry Shows Off Incredible New Physique

Henry shared his workout regime with followers on Instagram with clips of him exercising alongside partner Andrea Rajacic. At what appeared to be the couple’s home gym, there were three clips simultaneously overlaid showing them perform a circuit.

Henry also posted two still images of his ripped physique and evidently remains dedicated to remaining in top shape. In the caption, he revealed the secrets of his success, writing (see the full post below):

“1 HOUR session with MY PARTNER IN CRIME, and a 10kg vest on. WORK HARD, EAT WELL, NO SUGAR!!!”

He could still start for Arsenal,” one user commented, as nobody could seem to believe just how great Henry looks at 48. Another added: “Beast mode at 48!” while a third continued: “Looks so fit.” Elsewhere, a fourth remarked: “He looks fitter than most footballers in their prime.”

Thierry Henry vs Manchester United

Indeed, much of Thierry Henry’s life still revolves around football. The Frenchman rarely misses an opportunity to break down attacking play during his punditry appearances, and one of his recent analyses – explaining what Viktor Gyokeres needs to do to take his game to the next level – quickly went viral at the start of the Premier League season.

Away from football, however, the 48-year-old is very much a family man. He and his wife, Andrea Rajacic, have been together for around 15 years, although she largely stays out of the spotlight. The Bosnian previously worked as a model and now keeps her social media accounts private, though Henry occasionally shares glimpses of their life together.

The couple have three children – Tristan, Tatiana and Gabby. Henry also has a daughter from his previous marriage to Nicole Merry, his first child who was born in 2005. Since retiring from playing, Henry has also spent time coaching at Arsenal’s academy, working as assistant manager for the Belgium national football team, and taking on managerial roles with AS Monaco and Montreal.

Jordan Henderson was stretchered off after suffering a freak injury following England’s historic victory over Mexico at the 2026 World Cup.

After battling past DR Congo in the last 32, England were drawn to face co-hosts Mexico at the Azteca Stadium.

A lot of talk going into the match was about how the Three Lions would cope with the altitude and how they would fare playing in such a hostile atmosphere.

England rose to the task with flying colours as they secured a dramatic victory. Jude Bellingham notched a brace and Harry Kane got on the scoresheet as Thomas Tuchel’s side, who were reduced to 10 men in the second half when Jarrel Quansah was shown a straight red card, held on to triumph 3-2.

There was concern for Henderson after he suffered a nasty injury during England’s celebrations.

Henderson, despite not coming on to the bench, was extremely animated on the touchline during the final stages of the match. He picked up a booking for his behaviour on the sidelines.

After the referee blew the full-time whistle, the Brentford midfielder sprinted onto the pitch to celebrate alongside England’s players.

However, he suffered a wrist injury after falling over the advertising hoardings during England’s celebrations. According to the Mirror, his teammates appeared to form a huddle around him as he received treatment from medics.

He was later taken away on a stretcher and given oxygen. Footage has now emerged showing how he suffered the injury.

Jude Bellingham spoke out about Henderson’s injury following the match. He said:

“He’s in a bit of bother, but the medical team have got everything under control, best to not give too much detail when I don’t know too much what’s going on, but everyone was there to support him and even that was a beautiful thing to see.”

Harry Kane, who struggled to speak in his post-match interview after losing his voice, said: “Jordan [Henderson] just fell over there, I think he’s okay, just something to do with his arm.”

Boss Tuchel also provided a worrying update, saying: “Not good, not good, next thing is a right defender now with the red card, Jordan just fell over an injured his wrist, it looks really bad.”

Henderson has played just six minutes for England at the 2026 World Cup, playing six minutes in his side’s victory over Panama in the group stage.

England will now face Norway in the quarter-finals of the competition. Erling Haaland scored a brace as the Scandinavian side defeated Brazil 2-1 at New York New Jersey Stadium. It’s currently unclear whether Henderson will be available to play.

Harry Kane’s Interview After Mexico 2-3 England Was Comedy Gold

Harry Kane gave a brilliant post-match interview after England’s dramatic victory over Mexico to reach the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup.

England took a two-goal lead over co-hosts Mexico thanks to Jude Bellingham’s quickfire brace in the second half. Julián Quiñones halved the deficit shortly as he fired past Jordan Pickford.

The Three Lions were reduced to 10 men early in the second half when Jarell Quansah was sent off, but, despite having a man disadvantage, England restored their two-goal lead when Kane converted from the penalty spot.

Mexico were given a penalty of their own with just over 20 minutes remaining, and Raul Jimenez was coolness personified as he rolled his effort past Pickford.

The co-hosts threw everything at Thomas Tuchel’s side for the remainder of the match, but, no matter how hard they tried, they could not find an equaliser as England held on to secure a famous victory.

England went absolutely berserk after the final whistle sounded as they celebrated their victory. Kane, after playing the majority of the match and then celebrating with his teammates, was required to fulfill his media duties.

The Bayern Munich striker did his very best to speak in his post-match interview with the BBC, but he struggled to give his thoughts as his voice failed him. View his interview below:

Kane said: “That was a crazy game. We had to fight. We had to fight. I’ve just been sitting there… I can’t really talk. The occasion, the team, all the things against us… we found a way.

On the penalty he gave away, he said: “I thought I got to the ball first. It was one of those days when the referee gave a lot against us. In the end, it doesn’t matter, so I’m happy.”

Kane, considered one of the greatest English players ever, also spoke out about Jordan Henderson’s injury he sustained after the match, while he also praised the England supporters who travelled to the Azteca Stadium to cheer their team on.

The 32-year-old’s interview had football fans in hysterics. One fan said: “This interview has secured the man a knighthood if he somehow didn’t have one in the bag already. What a legend.”

A second commented: “Harry Kane is an absolute hero… hilarious!! Best post-match interview ever. Definitely a future meme!”

A third said: “Harry Kane with the interview of a lifetime,” while a fourth stated: “That Harry Kane interview might be the best I’ve ever seen.”

England to Face Norway in the Quarter-Finals

England’s quest to win their second World Cup title, and end their 60-year wait for a trophy, continues on Saturday, July 11, when they take on Norway. The match will take place at Miami Stadium and kick off at 10pm BST.

Norway beat Brazil 2-1 earlier on Sunday thanks to an Erling Haaland brace. Neymar gave Carlo Ancelotti’s side hope late on when he converted from the penalty spot, but it was too little, too late for Brazil as they crashed out of the competition.

A tie against one of Argentina, Egypt, Switzerland or Colombia awaits in the semi-finals for the victor.

Neymar’s Comment to Norway Goalkeeper Orjan Nyland After Scoring Penalty

A sublime Erling Haaland brace knocked Brazil out of the World Cup and sent Norway through to the last 16 with a 2-1 win on Sunday night.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men were given a golden opportunity to take the lead after being awarded a penalty. Bruno Guimaraes stepped up but saw his attempt saved by Norweigan goalkeeper Orjan Nyland.

Haaland’s first goal arrived in the 79th minute, meeting Andreas Schjelderup’s cross with a fine header. His second in the 90th minute gave Alisson Becker absolutely no chance, as he nonchalantly controlled the ball before smashing it into the far bottom corner.

Neymar pulled one back for the Brazilians from the penalty spot in the 90+8th minute. That will likely be his last kick of a football at a World Cup, and it was the last goal of Selecao’s disappointing campaign in North America.

Haaland drew level with Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi at the top of the goalscoring charts with seven goals. For Neymar, his last hurrah in his nation’s colours ended in frustration and he failed to keep his composure after scoring.

The Santos forward came on in the second half but couldn’t help Brazil stage a comeback against Norway. The 34-year-old is expected to announce his international retirement following the tournament, and he’ll have wanted to do so as a world champion.

Instead, his last World Cup memory is a spat with Norweigan goalkeeper Nyland. He exchanged words with the 35-year-old shot-stopper before and after the shot-stopper took his penalty.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted Nyland trying to throw Neymar off after the Brazilian star told him: “Where do you want it? Where do you want it?”

The Norweigan told him: “I’ll stop it for you! I’ll stop it for you!”

Neymar calmly found the back of the net, with Nyland rooted to his spot. He then ran towards the former Sevilla goalkeeper and told him (via DAZN): “Not to me! Not to me!”

Neymar is a Brazilian footballing icon who eclipsed Pele as the country’s all-time top scorer in 2023. When he rose to the top of world football, many expected him to be the catalyst for Selecao to finally reclaim the World Cup, which they haven’t won since 2002.

The former Barcelona star had to be consoled after the loss to Norway as his emotions took over. He dreamed of following in the footsteps of Pele and lifting the World Cup for the record-holders.

‘Pathetic Ending’ – Fans Hit Out at Neymar

Neymar’s antics after scoring his penalty didn’t go down well with fans who felt he put himself before the team. Some argued that he seemed more interested in provoking Nyland rather than hurrying to get the ball back with just seconds left.

One fan on X wrote: Neymar giving big ones to Nyland, who already saved a penalty this game and has just won the game, heading to the Quarter Finals. Embarrassing.”

Another supporter added: “Is Neymar seriously taunting the goalkeeper when he’s down 2-1 at the 99th minute.”

One wrote: “What a pathetic ending to Neymar’s career. Provoking and taunting the goalkeeper after scoring a penalty.”

Another replied: “Neymar trash talking when his team is about to be knocked out, pack it up man.”

Brazil's Joao Pedro

The Chelsea star was a surprise omission from the Brazil World Cup squad named by Carlo Ancelotti.

If this is the end for Neymar at international level, he bids farewell in humiliating fashion. His selection stirred controversy after Ancelotti omitted Chelsea‘s Joao Pedro despite an impressive season.

Neymar debuted for Brazil at the age of 18 back in 2010 and has since earned 130 caps, scoring 80 goals and providing 59 assists. He has not only never won a World Cup but also failed to fire his nation to Copa America glory.
