The Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command has launched a search for one Emmanuel Terfa, popularly known as Stoner whose whereabouts have been unknown since January 2026.

The command via its spokesperson, Josephine Adeh appealed to the general public to assist the force with information that may help locate the missing 25-year-old graduate of the Benue State University.

A statement by Josephine said Emmanuel, who is an indigene of Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State, resides at Guzape Village in Abuja before he went missing.

She said the over six feet tall young man was last seen at his residence on 8th January, 2026.

He has a “chocolate complexion, a slightly heavy build, dreadlocks, and speaks both English and Hausa fluently.

“Members of the public with any useful information that may assist in locating him are kindly requested to report to the nearest Police Station”, the statement added.

A gas-laden tanker travelling at high speed struck a road bump and caught fire after the driver lost control along Abaranje Road in the Ikotun area of Lagos State.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), through its Permanent Secretary, Olawale Afolabi, disclosed in a statement on Thursday that the incident occurred at the Ola Farm Bus Stop and was swiftly contained by emergency responders, with no loss of life or injuries recorded.

According to the statement, LASEMA officials worked closely with the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service to extinguish the fire, secure the area, and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes, businesses, and other road users.

He added that officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, the Federal Road Safety Corps, and officers of the Nigeria Police Force from the Ikotun Division managed traffic and crowd control within the period.

“We are grateful to report that there was no loss of life, and no casualties were recorded. The situation has been brought under control, and the fire fully extinguished,” he stated.

LASEMA said efforts were ongoing to evacuate the burnt tanker from the road, adding that heavy-duty equipment had been deployed for the purpose. 

“We use this opportunity to remind all motorists of the importance of adhering to speed limits, particularly around designated bumps and in residential corridors. Such caution saves lives and protects property,” he said.

He restated the agency’s commitment to disaster preparedness, rapid emergency response, and public safety across Lagos State while commending all responding agencies and residents for their cooperation during the operation.

President of the Dorowa Babuje Youth Council in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Pam Fom, was on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026, reportedly ambushed and shot by suspected Fulani militias a day after he granted an interview condemning an attack on the community by terrorists on Tuesday, where two youths were killed.

Conflict journalist, Masara Kim Usman, who confirmed the attack on Fom in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday morning, said the youth leader was attacked on his way to a neighbouring community by gunmen suspected to be Fulani militias shortly after he had an interview with him where he openly condemned an earlier attack in Dorowa.

“So I interviewed this youth leader on an attack that killed two members of his community near Jos yesterday, and today he was shot by the same Fulani terrorist,” Usman wrote.

In the interview, Fom had narrated how the Fulani terrorists hid among their cattle while grazing and targeted the two youths who were riding on a motorcycle. After killing them, they proceeded to a mining site and opened fire on the miners, injuring many of them.

He went on to call on the government and security agencies to provide adequate protection for the people of the community, or the youths would have no option but to do everything possible to protect their people, including taking up arms to defend their community.

But barely hours after Fom’s interview, he was ambushed by the terrorists who shot and left him for dead.

Another youth leader, Titus Badung, who also confirmed the attack on Fom, also posted the news on social media.

“The community youth leader of Dorowa Babuje, Mr Pam Fom, who was interviewed yesterday by award-winning conflict reporter Masara Kim Usman following the killing of two youths from his community, has reportedly been shot today.

“He was attacked just a day after speaking about the earlier killings that had plunged the community into mourning,” Badung wrote.
