Instagram Styles to Recreate This Week: 6 Fashion Looks Worth Saving
If you’re looking for fresh outfit inspiration this week, Instagram has delivered a mix of elegant tailoring, sporty streetwear, bold textures, and effortless color combinations. From chic monochrome moments to casual looks that feel elevated, these outfits prove that great style doesn’t always require a complete wardrobe overhaul.
Here are 6 Instagram styles to recreate this week.
1. The Statement White Power Suit
This look is a masterclass in making simplicity stand out. The structured white blazer features artistic black detailing that instantly transforms a classic silhouette into a statement piece. Paired with a matching midi skirt and red heels, the outfit feels polished, feminine, and powerful.
Why it works: The clean white base allows the details to shine, while the pop of red adds personality without overwhelming the look.
Recreate it with a white blazer, a fitted skirt, and a bold-colored shoe or bag.
2. The Sporty Girl Summer Look
Football jerseys continue to dominate fashion conversations, and with the FIFA World Cup currently underway, there’s no better time to embrace the trend. This striped jersey paired with a flowy white skirt strikes the perfect balance between sporty and feminine. Sneakers and a crossbody bag complete the effortlessly cool look, making it ideal for match days, casual outings, and everything in between.
Why it works: It blends comfort and style while giving a playful nod to sports culture.
Recreate it with any oversized football jersey, a white maxi skirt, and your favorite sneakers.
3. The Oversized Blazer and Fringe Moment
Fashion lovers who enjoy taking risks will appreciate this combination. An oversized striped blazer layered over a dramatic fringe skirt creates movement, texture, and visual interest from every angle.
Why it works: The structured blazer balances the playful fringe, making the outfit feel intentional rather than overwhelming.
Recreate it with an oversized blazer and any skirt featuring tassels, fringe, or textured details.
4. The Brown Monochrome Luxury Look

Monochrome dressing remains one of the easiest ways to look expensive. This brown-on-brown ensemble on Rihanna combines rich textures and varying shades within the same color family for a sophisticated finish.
Why it works: The different tones add depth while maintaining a cohesive appearance.
Recreate it with a brown coat, a matching dress or skirt, and accessories in complementary, earthy tones.
5. The Unexpected Red and Brown Combination
Fashion is often about surprising combinations, and this outfit proves that red and brown deserve more attention. The glossy red handbag and matching flats instantly elevate the neutral brown pieces, creating a look that feels both vintage-inspired and current.
Why it works: The red accessories inject energy into the earthy palette without overpowering it.
Recreate it with a brown dress or skirt paired with red shoes, a red handbag, or both.
6. The Mint Green Minimalist Set
Soft, refreshing, and effortlessly stylish, this mint green matching set is perfect for those who love clean silhouettes. The coordinated look feels modern, while the pastel shade keeps things light and playful. Ayra Starr served.
Why it works: Matching sets remove the guesswork from styling while delivering maximum impact.
Recreate it with any coordinated set in a soft pastel shade and minimal accessories.
Fashion inspiration doesn’t always have to come from runway shows. Sometimes the best ideas are already sitting in your Instagram saved folder. These looks are signs that tailoring, sporty pieces, monochrome dressing, and unexpected color pairings are all having a moment. So…whether you’re dressing for brunch, work, a casual outing, or a special event, there’s a style here worth recreating.

Mercy Eke Just Unlocked the Chicest Way to Wear Ankara Right Now
There is something refreshing about seeing Ankara styled in a way that feels unexpected. Mercy Eke does exactly that with a look that is equal parts playful, chic, and fashion-forward.
Rather than relying on the usual silhouette, she opts for a fitted mini dress with a halter neckline and subtle cut-out details. The result is a design that feels light, youthful, and full of personality. It gives the print room to shine while bringing a contemporary edge to the overall look.
The beauty of this outfit lies in how it mixes boldness with simplicity. The vibrant red Ankara instantly catches the eye, but the clean lines of the design stop it from feeling overwhelming. Every detail feels intentional, from the fitted waist to the soft volume of the skirt.
Then there is the colour story. The crisp white heels create a clean break from the bold print, while the turquoise handbag injects a dose of fun. It is an unexpected pairing that makes the outfit feel stylish rather than predictable. Her styling choices also keep the look modern. Soft curls, glowing makeup, and minimal jewellery allow the dress to remain the focal point while adding just the right amount of polish.
For anyone looking for fresh ways to wear Ankara, this look offers plenty of inspiration. It is proof that a bold print, a flattering silhouette, and smart accessories are sometimes all you need to create a standout fashion moment.

Peter Vowles Appointed New British High Commissioner to Nigeria
The United Kingdom has announced the appointment of Peter Vowles as its new British High Commissioner to Nigeria, marking the beginning of a new chapter in UK–Nigeria diplomatic relations. Vowles will succeed Richard Montgomery CMG and is expected to officially assume office in September 2026.
Reacting to the announcement on X, Vowles expressed his enthusiasm about the new role, stating that he is “absolutely delighted” to be appointed British High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Vowles brings to the position an extensive diplomatic and development career spanning more than two decades across Africa, Asia, and other regions. His appointment reflects a wealth of experience in international development, governance, and diplomacy, making him one of the United Kingdom’s most seasoned foreign service officials.
Before his appointment to Nigeria, Vowles served as His Majesty’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe from 2023. Before that, he was Transformation Director at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) between 2022 and 2023. He also served as HM Ambassador to Myanmar from 2021 to 2022, overseeing the UK’s diplomatic engagement during a critical period in the country’s history.
Throughout his career at the FCDO, Vowles has held several senior leadership positions, including Transformation Director, Director for Asia, Caribbean and Overseas Territories, and Head of Programme Delivery. His experience also includes significant development work in Africa, where he served as the Department for International Development (DFID) Country Director in Kenya and Deputy DFID Country Director in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
His relationship with Africa dates back to the early 1990s. Between 1992 and 1993, he worked in Zimbabwe as a teacher with the Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture. He later returned to the country as a Policy and Programme Manager with Students Partnership Worldwide, serving from 1996 to 1999.
Beyond Africa, Vowles has worked extensively in Bangladesh, India, and Afghanistan, leading initiatives focused on health, governance, international development, and global partnerships. These experiences have helped shape his reputation as a diplomat with deep expertise in development cooperation and international relations.
As he prepares to take up his post in September 2026, Vowles is expected to play a key role in strengthening the long-standing relationship between the United Kingdom and Nigeria, with a focus on diplomacy, trade, development cooperation, and shared strategic interests.
His appointment comes at a time when both countries continue to deepen bilateral engagement across economic, security, and cultural sectors, positioning him to build on existing partnerships and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
