2027: ‘Tinubu blindfolded spiritually, even INEC cannot give him victory – Primate Ayodele
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Monday revealed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is pitching his tent with the people who will disappoint him in the coming elections.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele stated that the president has been blindfolded spiritually and those he is currently relying on will disappoint him, especially some governors.
Ayodele explained that the election will be determined spiritually and that there are a lot of people around the president deceiving him.
He also explained that the president’s dependence on the US and France will have a negative impact on his government, noting that no movement can ensure victory for him.
“The election will be determined spiritually because there are a lot of things people don’t want from Tinubu any longer and a lot of people are deceiving him.
“Tinubu doesn’t have a grip on his government at the moment except he sees reliable people, but I don’t see those people with him. He is still relying on governors that will disappoint him because not even all of them will win their states.
“Apart from this, Tinubu’s dependence on the US and France for victory will further affect him, but he has been blindfolded spiritually. It’s not in the hands of any movement or money they are sharing, but he isn’t ready to listen.”
He further said that if the opposition works in the right path, it will be difficult for Tinubu to come back and even INEC may not be able to help him.
“It is only if the opposition doesn’t work along the line that the president will come back; if not, it will be very difficult. They are only packaging the President, and even the INEC cannot give him victory.
“What is on the ground is serious, and the north isn’t settled at all; the northerners will show themselves at the 11th hour. It will not look well if the president ends his second term ambition in shame and disgrace, and apart from this, the aura of the election date isn’t good for Tinubu’s victory.”

2027: Tinubu has defeated himself — SDP’s Adebayo
The Social Democratic Party, SDP, presidential candidate, Adewole Adebayo, says President Bola Tinubu has ‘defeated himself’ ahead of the 2027 general election.
Featuring in an interview on ‘Sunday Politics.’ a programme on Channels Television, Adebayo stated that the Tinubu administration is outgoing, noting that it was only waiting to complete its four-year term.
According to him, the administration had failed to tackle poverty, insecurity and governance challenges confronting the nation, saying its performance had undermined the purpose of government.
The presidential candidate urged Nigerians to focus on national issues rather than political personalities as campaigns gather momentum.
He explained that his priority was uniting Nigerians, not merely forming an opposition coalition.
He maintained that the outcome of the 2027 election would ultimately depend on voter participation and confidence in the electoral process.
“With all these insecurity, hunger and bad economy, President Tinubu has already defeated himself. His administration is outgoing,” Adebayo said.

Osun election: ‘You must remain neutral’ – Accord charges INEC, security agencies
Ahead of the August 15 2026 governorship election, Accord Party has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agencies to remain neutral, impartial and provide a level playing field to all parties participating in the poll.
Accord advised the electorate not to mortgage their future for a plate of electoral porridge in the form of vote buying and financial inducements, insisting that every vote must be counted.
The party said the coming governorship election is the litmus test of the electoral umpire’s readiness for the 2027 general elections, adding that all eyes are on the Commission to conduct a free, fair, credible, transparent and inclusive election.
Accord said there should be no excuse for poor performance, since it has enough time to prepare for the exercise.
“Accord urges INEC and security agencies to take their statutory responsibilities seriously by remaining neutral and impartial before, during and after the election,” a statement signed Barr. Maxwell Mgbudem, the party’s National Chairman, said.
“The sanctity of the ballot box is what gives credibility to an election and bolsters public confidence in the democratic process. Stakeholders must protect and safeguard it in national interest.
“Every vote must be counted and counts in the overall result, and the people’s wish, will and mandate respected by all stakeholders.”
Accord urged “citizens not to mortgage their future for a mess of electoral porridge in whatever form of vote buying or inducements. No serious political party or candidate will indulge in reprehensible vote trading.”
Accord said it is cruising to a landslide victory supported by voters who want continuity of Adeleke’s transformative leadership.
It added, “To INEC as the electoral umpire, the Osun governorship poll is a litmus test of its readiness for the 2027 general election. There should be no excuse for poor performance, including any form of glitches.
“The commission should put its act together, adequately test-run its electoral materials to ensure they are in good condition, bearing in mind that all eyes are on the commission to conduct a free, fair, credible, transparent and inclusive election.
“The integrity of INEC is at stake. It has another opportunity to redeem its image and justify the confidence Nigerians reposed in it.”

2027: Tinubu must campaign on achievements, not propaganda — Dele Momodu
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dele Momodu, has advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to focus on showcasing his administration’s achievements ahead of the 2027 presidential election rather than relying on political rhetoric.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Momodu said Nigerians would judge the President based on his performance in office and not propaganda.
According to him, Tinubu’s path to re-election would be easier if he presents a convincing record of accomplishments to the electorate.
“The 2027 election will not be difficult for Tinubu if he can show the records of his performance. Nobody hates him personally. It is about performance. Present your scorecards,” he said.
Momodu also urged members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to channel their efforts into highlighting the administration’s achievements instead of attacking political opponents.
He further criticised the APC for what he described as a continuous tendency to blame previous administrations for the nation’s economic and governance challenges.
“What we see is APC abusing itself and its predecessors, saying they inherited a useless government and economy. I have never seen a place where a party destroys its own predecessors like APC,” he stated.
Questioning the government’s record after more than three years in office, the Ovation Magazine publisher asked what concrete steps had been taken to improve the lives of Nigerians and change the direction of the country.
Reacting to Obasanjo’s recent remark that choosing Atiku as his running mate was his greatest political mistake, Momodu alleged that the former president remains opposed to Atiku’s ambition of becoming Nigeria’s president.
“I believe Chief Obasanjo does not want Atiku’s presidential dream to materialise,” he said.
Momodu also criticised the APC for repeatedly blaming previous administrations for Nigeria’s current economic and governance challenges, describing the trend as unusual.
