Missing primary, secondary certificates: Tinubu submitted forged documents to INEC – ADC chieftain
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Kalu Kalu, on Thursday insisted that President Bola Tinubu has been submitting forged certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, since 1999.
Kalu disclosed that Tinubu submitted forged certificates to INEC in 1999, 2023, and now.
He spoke on Channels Television’s Politics Today, while reacting to the controversy over Tinubu’s missing certificates on INEC’s forms.
Tinubu had failed to submit his primary and secondary school certificates to INEC.
However, Kalu insisted that Tinubu’s documents are forged and fake.
According to Kalu: “The constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria says no person shall be qualified to contest for the office of the president if that person has presented a forged certificate to INEC, that is the law.
“Today, Tinubu has submitted forged certificates and I would list them now.
“The substance of this issue is did Tinubu in 1999 submit forged certificates to INEC? The answer is yes, did Tinubu submit forged certificates to INEC in the 2023 election? The answer is yes.
“I’m saying it here on national television for the whole world to know that Tinubu in 1999 deposed that he attended Saint Paul’s Primary School in Ibadan which is false, let Tinubu, his handlers, and Ogala come out and say that it’s not false.”

You got 16 votes, couldn’t change your poverty-stricken community – Davido attacks Bashir Ahmad
Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known by his stage name Davido, has lambasted Bashir Ahmad, a former presidential media aide, over his remarks on the Osun State governorship election.
DAILY POST reports that the exchange began after Davido took to X on Thursday to celebrate President Bola Tinubu’s telephone conversation with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
In the post, Davido said he was present during the phone conversation, adding that he “witnessed history.”
Reacting to the post, Bashir Ahmad said he was bookmarking Davido’s post, expressing confidence that the singer would return to X to lament the outcome of the August 15 governorship election.
“This tweet is bookmarked. It will serve as a reference for future events. I know you will come back here to lament if the August 15 results don’t go your way,” Bashir wrote.
However, Davido responded with another remark, mocking Bashir’s performance in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.
“You got 16 votes, bro, in the primaries. STFU,” the singer wrote.
In another post, Davido accused the former aide of failing to change the lives of people in his community despite serving for eight years in the administration of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
“You measure success by one award. I measure it by sold-out arenas, billions of streams, global influence, and people singing my songs across continents.
“You had government backing and still couldn’t convince enough people to back you in your small constituency. You’re a small boy who came into politics by accident.
“You spent 8yrs with the ex-president and couldn’t make a change in your poverty-stricken community.
“We all have different trophies, Bashir. I’ll keep inspiring the young ones and generations to come while you wait for the next government job to get crumbs,” Davido wrote.

Osun guber: Tinubu should immediately resign, not EFCC chairman over govt account freezing — SDP’s Adebayo
The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Adewole Adebayo, has asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign over the freezing of the Osun State Government’s account domiciled with First Bank.
He made the call while speaking with journalists after an event in Abuja on Thursday.
Recall that the nation was thrown into shock over the freezing of the Osun State Government’s account by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) a few days before the state’s governorship election slated for August 15, 2026.
The Commission confirmed the action, explaining that it detected suspicious transactions in the Osun State Government’s account.
However, in a statement issued by the president’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, on Thursday, Tinubu directed the EFCC to vacate the court order freezing the Osun State Government’s account.
The development has led to calls in some quarters for the resignation of the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede.
Reacting, Adebayo said it is President Tinubu, not Olukoyede, who should resign because “the buck stops” with the president.
According to him, the Commission, like other security agencies, is a difficult place to work.
“Well, the person who should resign is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I don’t have enough evidence to suggest that the EFCC chairman should resign. The only person who is at fault here is the President himself because the EFCC is a very difficult place to work,” he said.
