Premier League Kit Manufacturers 2026/27

Published

on

Nine technical suppliers will dress the Premier League in 2026/27, but the headline story is the takeover from Adidas, who have acquired its highest share of club kits from across the past decade.

It is now the supplier to 40 percent of the division, having reeled in Liverpool from Nike in a landmark switch. Nike, by contrast, has quietly slipped to just three clubs, with its Premier League influence at a lower rate, but it retains prestige through Chelsea and a long-serving Brighton deal, yet its retreat from the usual volume is stark.

Hummel matches Nike in three, while six brands split the remainder. That reflects two forces: promoted clubs arriving on modest legacy deals, and mid-table sides chasing better royalty terms with brands who are starting to make waves like Castore and Macron.

Here is the full 2026/27 breakdown of the kit manufacturers and the current landscape ahead of the new season.

1

Adidas — 8 clubs

Liverpool Away Kit 26/27 Liverpool FC

Adidas is the undisputed powerhouse of the 2026/27 landscape, supplying Arsenal, Aston Villa, Fulham, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.

The German giant’s roster is anchored by the two richest deals it holds anywhere in England. Man United’s deal remains the outlier at a reported £90 million per season, part of a decade-long agreement running to 2035 despite the club’s recent on-pitch struggles — proof that heritage and global retail reach, not results, underwrite the biggest numbers.

However, Liverpool’s arrival is the major coup this year. Their third spell with Adidas, launched in 2025, is a 10-year pact reportedly worth in excess of £600 million across its lifespan, with sales-and-performance incentives likely to push it higher. Arsenal, meanwhile, sit on a deal valued at around £75 million annually through 2030.

Fulham holds the league’s longest-running partnership of any kind, an Adidas association dating to 2013, but it is certainly a landmark year for the company.

2

Nike — 3 clubs

Chelsea Kit 26/27 Chelsea

Nike’s Premier League presence has narrowed to Brighton, Chelsea and Tottenham — a considerable retreat for a brand that once set the pace. Losing Liverpool to Adidas stripped them of a genuine global anchor, and its remaining portfolio, while prestigious, is notably lacking in volume like previous years.

Chelsea are the jewel, tied to Nike since 2017 on a 15-year agreement worth a reported £60 million per season and running to 2032 — which exists as one of the longest commitments in world football.

Brighton’s relationship is the most remarkable for its loyalty, spanning 12 years across two divisions and now the second-longest active kit deal in the division.

Tottenham complete the trio but for Nike, though, the direction of travel in England is unmistakably downward on numbers.

3

Hummel — 3 clubs

Sunderland 26/27 Home Kit Sunderland 26/27 Home Kit

Danish brand Hummel match Nike’s club count, possessing the trio of Bournemouth, Coventry and Sunderland — a portfolio built on mid-market and promoted sides rather than blue-chip giants.

Hummel’s model is a deliberate contrast to the volume plays of Adidas and Nike: it targets clubs where heritage storytelling and design distinctiveness can cut through, and where a challenger supplier can offer favourable royalty splits rather than vast guaranteed fees.

What is clear is the focus on strong designs, with Bournemouth arriving in style after an Umbro association, while Sunderland will take Hummel into Europe with two fantastic kit options. Whereas Coventry roar back to the Premier League with a striking jersey as well.

Individually, these are modest agreements — the promoted and lower-revenue clubs occupy the bottom level of the league’s kit-deal table, some worth only single-digit millions annually — but collectively they hand Hummel a Premier League foothold, and a shop window it will exploit hard.

4

Puma — 1 club

Man City's home kit for 2026/27 revealed

Puma supplies just one Premier League club, but it happens to be the most lucrative account in the entire division. Manchester City extended their partnership in July 2025 on a 10-year deal reportedly worth £100 million per season — a significant uplift on the previous £65 million arrangement and, by total value, believed to be the richest kit-and-apparel deal in football history.

The economics tell you everything about modern kit strategy. Focusing on a single elite, serially successful client can be worth more to a manufacturer than a fistful of mid-table sides put together.

City have won four league titles since the Puma deal began in 2019, and that sustained dominance — plus full global retail rights across the club’s brand — is what justifies guaranteed nine-figure annual payments regardless of where the team finishes.

For Puma, City is less a portfolio and more a flagship deal that has been nothing but a roaring success.

5

Umbro — 1 club

Ipswich Town Kit 26/27 Ipswich Town

Umbro’s Premier League presence has thinned to a single club, promoted Ipswich Town, arriving in the top-flight to soften the double blow of losing long-standing partners Bournemouth and West Ham at the end of their respective deals.

It marks a quiet decline for one of English football’s most historically resonant brands, whose double-diamond was once a mainstay.

Ipswich will be overjoyed with Umbro’s aesthetic that leans heavily on retro-inflected, terrace-friendly design that resonates with traditional clubs.

Financially, it sits toward the lower end of the league’s deal table, as promoted-club agreements typically do. But for Umbro, retaining even one Premier League shop window matters in a competitive market where they are fighting hard for this kind of visibility.

6

Castore — 1 club

Everton Via Everton

British company Castore is continuing on its Premier League journey with Everton, a partnership reportedly worth in the region of £24 million per season. This comfortably stands out as the most valuable deal held by any of the division’s challenger brands.

For a company founded only in 2015, securing and retaining a club of Everton’s size and fanbase represents a genuine statement of intent.

Castore’s rise has been built on aggressively targeting established clubs that sit just outside the elite tier, offering competitive terms and performance-focused product to prise them away from the legacy manufacturers.

It is the clearest example in the league of a next-generation brand buying its way into the conversation — and, so far, making the economics work, which is why it is one of the more interesting deals, especially given its recent stadium move.

7

Joma — 1 club

Brentford Kit 2026/27 Brentford FC

Spanish manufacturer Joma supplies Brentford, which a pairing that neatly reflects both parties’ identities. Both are smart, value-conscious operators celebrated for punching above their financial weight.

Joma is a major force in futsal and across continental football, but its Premier League exposure is limited to this single account, making Brentford its sole English top-flight shop window.

The deal sits toward the modest end of the league’s kit-value spectrum, in line with Brentford’s revenue profile, and it allows a more personal touch with their kit designs which are certainly eye-catching.

A stable, well-run Premier League club such as Brentford provides Joma with consistent visibility in the world’s most-watched division and a platform to grow its replica-sales presence in the UK market.

8

Oxen Sports — 1 club

Hull City 26/27 Home Kit Hull City

The most intriguing entry on the entire list, Oxen Sports, outfits newly promoted Hull City, despite having virtually no prior footprint in the football industry.

It is genuinely rare for a Premier League club — even a promoted one — to entrust kit production to a brand of this scale on the sport’s biggest and most commercially demanding stage, and it stands out for its story alone.

Yet, the league’s financial pull and global reach will keep drawing the biggest names, whose investment scale and distribution networks are factually something a company of Oxen’s size cannot match.

Interestingly, it remains a reminder that the door is not entirely closed to outsiders, and it has a strong case for being the season’s most eye-catching partnership.

9

Macron — 1 club

Crystal Palace Kit 26/27 Crystal Palace

Italian brand Macron rounds out the nine, supplying Crystal Palace and bringing its distinctive design to Selhurst Park.

The deal is characteristic of the challenger-brand economics playing out below the elite as it is highly prolific across European football but Palace are its only Premier League client.

It remains modest in guaranteed value relative to the Adidas and Puma megadeals, but attractive to a club that receives dedicated attention, competitive terms and quality design work rather than being one account among dozens.

Plus, Palace’s recent cup success and pending Europa League adventure make them an increasingly appealing shop window, and for Macron, the partnership is a foothold in a league where visibility is everything.

In news that has the football world mourning, the father of Lionel Messi, Jorge, has died aged 68. He passed away on Friday night at a medical clinic in the ‌Argentine city of Rosario after a long illness.

As per Reuters, the Messi family said that Jorge spent his final months alternating between a medical centre in Rosario and his home, accompanied by his wife Celia and his children Rodrigo, Matias and Maria Sol. It’s also said that Lionel spent time with his father after the World Cup before returning to the US to resume the season with Inter Miami.

During the World Cup, Messi was notably emotional after scoring a hat-trick vs Algeria. He later explained that his tears were due to “something unrelated to football” after going through “a few difficult, complicated days.” His family then issued a statement, explaining Jorge’s ill health.

Messi has previously spoken about how important his father was as an influence on his career.

Messi’s boyhood team Newell’s Old Boys were among the first to confirm the sad news. The club said in a statement: “Club Atlético Newell’s Old Boys bids farewell with deep sorrow and grief to Jorge Messi, who passed away at the age of 68 in the city of Rosario.

“Recognized leproso fan, businessman, and father of the Argentine national team captain, Lionel Andrés Messi.

“Jorge was the pillar and the person who supported with vision, rigor, and affection the career of the greatest player of all time alongside his wife, Celia Cuccittini. His constant companionship and behind-the-scenes leadership were essential in backing every step of Lionel, from his beginnings at Malvinas to the pinnacle of world football glory.

“Thank you for teaching him to love these colours. The Board of Directors, members, athletes, and the entire leprosa family embrace with affection Celia, Lionel, Rodrigo, Matías, and María Sol, and all their loved ones and close ones in this difficult moment.

“Farewell forever, leproso.”

Adding to this, in a post on social media, the governing body of South American football, CONMEBOL shared a statement, which read: “CONMEBOL deeply regrets the passing of Jorge Messi, father of Argentine footballer Lionel Messi.

“We accompany Lionel, his family, friends, and loved ones with respect and affection in this moment of profound grief. May he rest in peace.”

Messi Has Been Clear About His Father’s Influence

Jorge was key to Messi getting the famous hormone treatment he needed as a youngster. He also travelled and stayed in Spain with his son when Barcelona first approached the then-13-year-old.

Messi has often spoken about how important his father was in his life. As quoted by the Sun, he once recalled:

“My dad was always by my side. We went through a lot of bad things.

“My dad asked me what I wanted to do, did I want to keep going or should we go back? I wanted to keep going and he stayed with me.”

Separately, Messi also spoke to DirecTV Sports in 2022, via CP24, explaining how his father influenced his career, pushing him to reach a higher level: “My father helped me enormously. He is very critical of me. That made me always want to push myself further.”

Adding to this, Reuters quoted Messi as previously saying: “I always needed my ‌dad’s approval, ever since I was a kid. After every match, I’d ask him what he thought of how I played.”

Jorge was undoubtedly vital in helping form arguably the greatest footballer of all time.

Napoli Eye Arsenal Star Jesus as Fenerbahce Open Lukaku Talks

Fenerbahce are in talks to sign Romelu Lukaku, GIVEMESPORT understands. The Belgian striker is open to a move to Turkey and is surplus to requirements at Napoli.

The Italian side are looking to sell for around €10m, and the price is not expected to prove a stumbling block.

Lukaku has only one-year left on his contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, and the 33-year-old has also drawn interest from MLS side Atlanta United, who have held talks with the player’s camp. MLS remains an option for Lukaku, who has also drawn interest from Saudi clubs over the past few weeks.

Fenerbahce Open Lukaku Talks

Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku joined Napoli from Chelsea in August 2024 and has scored 15 goals in 45 games. He got 14 goals in 2024/25 as Napoli won Serie A, but featured in only five league games last season due to injury. The back-end of last season saw Lukaku remain in Belgium ahead of the World Cup as he recovered from a hip flexor muscle issue.

The 33-year-old had a positive World Cup, scoring three goals and getting one assist as Belgium lost to eventual champions Spain in the quarter-final. That has helped attract fresh interest.

Napoli are looking to add Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus, but require outgoings first. Initial talks have taken place with Arsenal, and a transfer is possible in the region of €25m (£21.4m).

Arsenal are still seeking another creative attacker, having missed out on Vinicius Junior, who extended at Real Madrid. Selling Jesus, who has been described as ‘incredible’,, is something the club are open to, even though manager Mikel Arteta still values the Brazilian striker.

Should fellow Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli depart, Arsenal could even add two new attackers. Julian Alvarez remains the dream target despite Atletico Madrid not wishing to sell, and the player hoping Barcelona make a fresh bid.

There is appreciation for Liverpool target Bradley Barcola, while Everton Illiman Ndiaye has also been discussed. Junior Kroupi was another player on Arsenal’s radar, but a metatarsal injury has sidelined him for 3-4 months. Bournemouth sources had insisted before the injury that there was no appetite to sell the French forward.

Atletico Madrid Bid Update for Tottenham Star Cristian Romero Emerges

Published

on

By

Tottenham Hotspur are yet to receive an offer for defender Cristian Romero, despite long-standing interest from Atletico Madrid, according to Sky Sports.

Romero endured a turbulent 2025/26 season, marred by red cards and inconsistent performances, as the Lilywhites were almost relegated from the Premier League. Despite this poor form, the Argentine has displayed his defensive acumen in the past and is subsequently still attracting interest from a number of clubs.

Arsenal emerged as shock suitors for Romero this week, although it’s believed that Spurs wouldn’t entertain offers from their rivals for their captain.

A move abroad is much more likely for the World Cup winner, with Atletico Madrid cited as the most likely destination for the wantaway star.

Tottenham Yet to Receive Cristian Romero Offer

Spurs have bolstered the centre of their defence this summer, adding Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton for £52 million and Marcos Senesi on a free transfer from Bournemouth.

These additions mean an existing defender in Roberto De Zerbi’s squad must make way, and there has always been an acceptance that Romero is the most likely candidate. Spurs’ skipper has consistently flirted with a departure, and given he’s now in his late 20s, it makes sense for the Lilywhites to cash in on the player now.

By all accounts, Tottenham are happy to let the 28-year-old, described by Gary Neville as ‘‘unbelievable’‘ in the past, leave this summer, but prospective suitors are yet to make their move, despite reports suggesting the contrary.

Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge indicates that while Atletico are interested in the player, they’re yet to table a proposal.

It’s understood that Spurs would be willing to sanction Romero’s exit for around £34 million – a fee that the Spanish giants will surely be capable of forking out.

Diego Simeone is looking to add an experienced central defender to his ranks to replace the ageing Jose Gimenez, who has been an ever-present figure in Atleti’s team under the Argentine manager, but turns 32 in January.

Could Tottenham Be Better Off Without Cristian Romero?

Spurs have fixed their primary issue from last season via their centre-back signings. The North Londoners struggled to progress the ball from deep areas throughout the campaign, due to a lack of high-quality passers – an issue Van Hecke and Senesi fix immediately with their exceptional range of distribution.

While the pair of new additions may not be as aggressive defenders as Romero, as reflected in the data below, they do add far more value to Tottenham’s team in possession.

Given De Zerbi wants his team to dominate the ball, draw the press in and then play around the opponent, the Italian’s centre-back overhaul should work wonders in terms of striving towards this style of play.

Additionally, they’ll no longer have Romero’s ill discipline and recklessness in their fold, meaning they may get better without him in the aggregate.
