Osun Decides 2026: Address identified gaps, ensure credible election — EU-SDGN EOH urge INEC, stakeholders
The European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria Election Observation Hub, EU-SDGN EOH, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, security agencies, political parties, the media and voters to take immediate steps to address identified gaps and ensure a peaceful, credible conclusion to the Osun State governorship election.
The Hub made the recommendations in its preliminary election day press conference following observations from 823 accredited observers deployed across the 30 local government areas of the state on Saturday.

Insecurity: NDC demands urgent action over IED threat in Zamfara
The Zamfara State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has condemned the reported planting of an Improvised Explosive Device, IED, by suspected bandits along the Gurusu-Gwashi Road in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of the state.
The party made its position known in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Alkasimu Mustapha Kayatawa, describing the development as a dangerous escalation of the security challenges confronting the state.

Osun election: Tinubu lost, APC afraid of 2027 – Dele Momodu
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dele Momodu, on Monday, disclosed that President Bola Tinubu lost in the just-concluded governorship election in Osun State and not the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Momodu said the likes of APC’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji and Gbeyega Oyetola were name droppers using Tinubu in Osun State.

APC spent N70bn to procure votes – Dino Melaye alleges, reveals lesson from Osun
Former federal lawmaker, Dino Melaye, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress, APC, spent about N70 billion to buy votes in the just-concluded governorship election in Osun State.
Melaye made the allegation in a post he shared on his official Facebook page on Monday.
