John Cena looks set to have four matches left in his WWE career, starting with a major bout on tonight’s edition of WWE Raw from the TD Garden in his home state of Massachusetts. The 17-time world champion embarked upon a farewell tour at the start of 2025, committing to a 36-date schedule at venues around the world.
As his final match on the 13th of December in Washington DC draws ever closer, Cena has just four appearances left as an in-ring performer. Now, reports suggest that he will wrestle during every one of them.
John has been scheduled for tonight’s episode of Raw for months. Initially, it was expected that the 48-year-old would be in attendance to officially kick off the start of the 16-man ‘Last Time is Now Tournament’, where the winner will earn the opportunity to face the WWE legend in his last career match.
Per BodySlam.net, though, Cena is expected to do far more than that in his second-to-last appearance on the red brand as an active Superstar. According to the outlet, John will challenge Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship on the show. Up until now, that bout had been expected to take place at Survivor Series in Mysterio’s hometown of San Diego.
Regardless of the outcome of tonight’s contest, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has confirmed in a separate report that Cena is also expected to step into the ring during next week’s edition of WWE Raw from New York’s Madison Square Garden.
No information has yet emerged regarding Cena’s opponent for MSG, although that may become clearer after tonight’s show. It is also unknown how the change in schedule with affect plans for Cena at Survivor Series, although he is still expected to wrestle at what will be the final PLE of his career.
