Man Utd Were Unhappy With Ruben Amorim For His Treatment of Three Players
Manchester United’s decision to part ways with Ruben Amorim has prompted further scrutiny of the breakdown in his relationship with the club’s hierarchy. While tactical disagreements and results played a role, fresh detail has emerged around internal dissatisfaction with Amorim’s conduct and public messaging.

According to Samuel Luckhurst, Manchester United were unhappy with Amorim’s public criticism of academy players and first-team winger Patrick Dorgu.
Luckhurst reports that senior figures at Old Trafford were particularly unimpressed by Amorim’s comments about academy prospects Harry Amass and Chido Obi. Amorim stated that Amass was “struggling” on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and highlighted Obi’s lack of regular starts for the Under-21s – remarks that did not go down well internally.
Amorim later doubled down on his stance by claiming there was a culture of “entitlement” within the United academy, further straining relations with club leadership.

United’s hierarchy were also said to be unhappy with the 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers, a result that came after Wolves had taken just two points from their previous 18 league matches.
The frustration was heightened by Amorim’s decision to revert to his preferred 3-4-2-1 system, despite United having beaten Newcastle United four days earlier using a back four. Sources indicate this raised questions about adaptability and decision-making.
Luckhurst adds that United were unimpressed by Amorim’s reaction to feedback, with claims that he became increasingly emotional and reactive when challenged by director of football Jason Wilcox, who has been tasked with overseeing the club’s long-term game model.
While Amorim had previously told the hierarchy he would prioritise structural stability in the early phase of his tenure, insiders suggest the club’s concerns were less about the system itself and more about the style of football being produced.
Criticism of Dorgu added to tensions
Amorim’s comments on Dorgu also caused internal unease. In November, he remarked that “you can feel the anxiety” when the winger receives the ball – a public critique of a player who had been signed as part of INEOS’ data-led recruitment strategy.
Dorgu was the first such signing under the new model, joining from US Lecce in a £29 million mid-season move. United’s chief executive had previously stressed the club’s intention to recruit players capable of operating across multiple systems, rather than those tailored to a back three.
Ultimately, United insiders believe Amorim’s outbursts and handling of feedback became impossible to ignore. With alignment breaking down at multiple levels, the club concluded a change was unavoidable – bringing his short spell at Old Trafford to an abrupt end.

Jacobs confirms that the French midfielder wants to wait to see how Madrid’s window pans out and hopes to speak to new manager Jose Mourinho.
“Aurelien Tchouameni could still be one to watch. From Manchester United’s perspective, they need to understand whether the player is going to ask to leave Real Madrid. We have no signs of that yet. I’m told that Tchouameni wants to wait, speak to Jose Mourinho, and see whether a six or an eight comes in at Real Madrid, and then decide whether the direction is a new contract or a new player to come in this position. Once he gets clarity on that, which could only come after the World Cup, he’ll have a better idea of whether Real are asking him to potentially go to create funding and squad spectacle.”
United will likely have to remain patient when it comes to Tchouameni, as his situation might not change until later in the window.
The Red Devils do have other targets alongside Tchouameni, and they need to get a move on as they keep missing out on players.

Another option for United in the middle of the park could be Bournemouth’s Alex Scott.
GIVEMESPORT correspondent Jacobs has also confirmed that Scott is a target for United as they assess alternatives to Fernandes after they were not prepared to meet his £85m asking price.

“That’s what makes this World Cup so special. Everything is incredibly close, and every single game is extremely difficult.”
Despite some criticism levelled at his team due to the nature of Argentina’s performance, Messi revealed that he was proud of his team’s efforts.
“As always, we gave everything we had, regardless of whether we played well or didn’t produce our best football. Now the most important thing is to recover, focus on the next match, and take the positives from today’s game.”

According to a report from Football London, Tottenham are targeting a move to sign Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi in the summer transfer window.

To score 13 Premier League goals and be Bournemouth’s top goal scorer when starting the season at the age of 19 is a phenomenal achievement for the Frenchman.
Kroupi averaged 0.7 goals per 90 minutes in the Premier League last season, which can’t be understated in his first campaign in England.
