Man Utd Eyeing Summer Move for Fulham Defender Samuel Amissah

Published

on

Manchester United are now showing an interest in signing Fulham defender Samuel Amissah in the summer, with the 18-year-old out of contract at the end of the season, according to journalist Mike McGrath.

United have focused a large portion of their recruitment policy on bringing in some of the best young talents from around the world, hoping to develop them into players capable of playing for the senior squad or selling them on for a profit.

The likes of Chido Obi, Diego Leon, and Ayden Heaven have all arrived through the door at Old Trafford for minimal fees, with United recruiting with more of a long-term plan.

Even though the Red Devils will likely be looking to improve their senior squad in the summer, we could also see them continue their policy of signing younger talents.

According to a report from McGrath of The Telegraph, Manchester United are one of the sides set to be in the race to sign Fulham youngster Amissah in the summer transfer window.

The 18-year-old is set to leave Craven Cottage later this year, with his contract at Fulham expiring, and due to his age, a tribunal will be required to decide a compensation fee paid by the likes of United if they secure his signature.

Amissah is naturally a centre-back, but can also play at full-back or in a defensive midfield role, and he’s a highly-rated talent on Fulham’s books.

Marco Silva has named him on the bench seven times this season, but it looks like Fulham are going to be losing him in the summer.

Man Utd Must be Patient With Recruitment

Manchester United and their supporters will need to remain patient if they continue with their strategy of signing young talent from around the world.

The likes of Leon, Heaven, and Chido haven’t made a significant impact at senior level just yet, but they weren’t brought in to be playing every week at this stage.

A positive for United supporters is that they are also signing ready-made players for the first team. Last summer, the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha were brought to the club, giving them an idea balance with their recruitment.

Arsenal Open Talks To Sign Morgan Rogers

Published

Arsenal are set to bid for Morgan Rogers after making the Aston Villa attacker their number one target, GIVEMESPORT understands. Arsenal are keen to add a starting left-winger, and the fact Rogers also thrives as a number ten is viewed as an added bonus.

Rogers is understood to be keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium, despite firm interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Although Villa insiders insist they want to keep Rogers, GMS understands a sale will be sanctioned at the right price. Rogers signed a new contract in November last year, keeping him at the club until 2031, but it only added a year to his existing terms.

There was an understanding last summer that Rogers could go for £80million, a price tag no suitor met. At that point, Liverpool were one of Rogers’ most active suitors but haven’t, as it stands, rekindled interest. And this number informs the valuation for this window and will prove a starting point for any engagement.

Villa will be watching closely at the kind of fees other players are valued at, including Leipzig’s €130million asking price for Yan Diomande, and the £70million Barcelona paid for Anthony Gordon with less time left on his contract than Rogers. Should they get a bidding war in addition, sources indicate they could ask for a figure closer to £100million. Yet Villa won’t unduly stand in Rogers’ way, something that was reiterated to the player when he signed fresh terms.

Rogers is at peak age and peak value, and Villa know bringing in a sale can help Unai Emery reinvest in multiple squad players and balance the books. Even with Champions League football this season, Villa are still looking to bring in funds as they navigate the final cycle of the Premier League’s Profit & Sustainability Rules and seek to satisfy UEFA’s Financial Fair Play (FFP).

Arsenal consider themselves frontrunners to sign Rogers and will now begin formal talks with Aston Villa.

Rogers’ versatility will be key for Arsenal

Rogers, who has made 125 appearances for Villa, scoring 25 times, is currently on England duty. He was also named as the Player of the Tournament in the Europa League as Villa beat Freiburg 3-0 in the final to lift the trophy and qualify for the Champions League.

Rogers has no preference as to whether he is deployed as a left-winger or a number ten, and Arsenal value his versatility.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are one of the clubs keen on Morocco’s Ayyoub Bouaddi and face competition from several Champions League clubs, including Liverpool and PSG. The 18-year-old midfielder is likely to cost more than £55million.

And Arsenal are set to sign Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga for at least £10million. It doesn’t appear a tribunal will be necessary to establish the fee for the 16-year-old after the clubs have been able to reach a verbal agreement. Only final details now remain, and Monga has already agreed terms.

Jurgen Klopp Delivers 9-Word Verdict on Lionel Messi at World Cup

Published

Jurgen Klopp delivered a nine-word verdict on Lionel Messi after watching the legendary forward break the record for most goals in World Cup finals history on Monday.

Messi, who turns 39 on Wednesday, scored his 17th and 18th World Cup goals against Austria at the Dallas Stadium. He also took his 2026 World Cup goals tally to five goals, following a hat-trick against Algeria in Argentina’s opening Group J match, and currently leads France’s Kylian Mbappe and Norway’s Erling Haaland (four goals apiece) in the Golden Boot race.

The Inter Miami star missed an early penalty against the Austrians but still broke Miroslav Klose’s long-standing record before half-time thanks to a vintage left-footed strike.

Messi played the full 90 minutes and doubled his – and Argentina’s – tally shortly before full-time with a superb goal that highlighted his remarkable tenacity and peerless quality.

There’s a growing sense that Messi is in the process of cementing his status as football’s greatest-ever player at this summer’s showpiece international tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The 2022 World Cup winner could even end the year with a record-breaking ninth Ballon d’Or award if he continues this exceptional form at football’s most prestigious tournament.

One revered figure who was fortunate enough to witness Messi’s record-breaking exploits in person was the former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The charismatic German coach, who is currently employed as the Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull, embraced Messi on the touchline after the match after briefly reuniting with his former Liverpool player, Alexis Mac Allister.

While Klopp was buzzing to get Mac Allister’s match-worn shirt, it was Messi who wowed him most. Per journalist Gary Al-Smith, the world-class manager-turned-World Cup pundit said:

“We’ll never see a player like Messi ever again.”

Next up for Messi and Argentina is a match against Jordan, who have lost their opening two Group J fixtures against Austria and Algeria, on Saturday evening.

It’s unclear whether Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni will play Messi in that fixture, or hand the veteran forward a well-deserved rest. However, there’s no doubt that Argentina’s iconic No. 10 will be desperate to play, and ultimately he’s likely to call the shots depending on how he feels.

As things stand, Argentina are set to meet fellow South American nation Uruguay in the Round of 32 on July 3. However, the situation could still change depending on how results unfold over the next week-and-a-half.

Arsenal in Advanced Talks With Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers

Published

Arsenal are interested in signing Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers ahead of the summer transfer window, and Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the situation.

Arsenal could be in the market to sign a new forward this summer, especially one who is capable of playing on the left-hand side of attack.

Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have failed to nail down the starting role at left wing, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if one of them departed this summer.

Although Rogers isn’t a natural left-sided attacker, he is comfortable playing out wide.

If he were to make the move to the Gunners, it feels unlikely that he would play centrally, with Mikel Arteta already having Eberechi Eze and Martin Odegaard to choose from.

Arsenal Step Up Move For £85M ‘Superstar’ As Players Help In Negotiations

Arsenal are stepping up their interest in a few stars in the transfer window, with some players helping in negotiations for one target.

Arsenal Update on Morgan Rogers

Morgan Rogers

Speaking on his World Cup show, Romano has provided an update on Arsenal’s interest in Aston Villa forward Rogers in the summer transfer window.

The respected reporter confirms that a deal is already advanced on the player’s side, and the feeling is very positive between Arsenal and Rogers.

“My understanding is that the deal is already advanced on the player’s side, so between Arsenal and Morgan Rogers, the feeling is very positive. Now it’s going to be on the conversations they will have with Aston Villa, so talks will follow club to club. It’s not easy, because the player signed a new deal at Aston Villa a few months ago, and Aston Villa are going to be in the Champions League. Aston Villa are ambitious. Aston Villa have a European Super Cup final to play against Paris Saint-Germain. So it’s not easy to let a player like Morgan Rogers go, but I’m sure Arsenal will go very strong, and the player is quite keen on the move.”

With Arsenal having the advantage of talks going well with Rogers, they’ll be hoping a move is fairly straightforward.

The obvious issue is Aston Villa’s potential price tag, but there’s no doubt the Gunners are in a position to spend big this summer.

Arsenal Can Spend Big on Rogers

Arsenal are in a position where they are able to spend big on Rogers during the summer transfer window.

The Gunners won the Premier League last season, so they don’t need a host of new additions in order to compete for the title once again.

Arteta’s side can identify one position they need to reinforce heavily and go all in to bring in a top target.

Rogers is clearly the man they want as an attacking option, and they can afford to go big to secure his signature.

Aston Villa will have a price, even if it is significant, and Arsenal should be doing all they can to sign him this summer.
