A 30-year-old event decorator identified as Ms. Esohe Aigbe has reportedly been killed in Benin City by an unknown assailant.

DAILY POST gathered that the incident occurred on Ojo Street in the Ogida area of Egor Local Government Area.

It was gathered that the deceased had gone to the area to help her friend decorate a funeral venue free of charge when she was attacked.

According to relatives who spoke to newsmen, the decorator had just finished her job and was still within the vicinity when she was attacked by persons yet to be identified.

They explained that the attackers inflicted severe injuries on her and left her in a pool of blood.

The relatives added that she was immediately rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) for medical attention, but the efforts of medical personnel could not save her life.

“Esohe was quiet, focused, and committed to her work as a decorator. She was well known in the area for taking jobs around funeral and event venues.

“She had built a strong reputation in the community for her exceptional work decorating funeral and event venues,” they said.

They, however, called on security agencies to ensure that those responsible are found and prosecuted.

They also appealed to anyone with information about the attack to report it to the police and assist security agencies in their investigation.
