Adam Thomas Reveals True Feelings on David Haye After ‘I’m a Celebrity’ Row

Published

The I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here reality TV show has been making famous faces from all walks of life endure gruelling challenges ever since 2002, with the relationships not always the most harmonious.

There have been some memorable, and divisive, contestants in the show’s tenure. Who could ever forget Gillian McKeith pretending to faint when she was chosen for a trial, Lady Colin Campbell arguing with everyone and Gemma Collins crying in the helicopter before the show had even begun?

Adam Thomas has been competing in the most recent edition of the reality show, set in South Africa, but it hasn’t been plain sailing for the Waterloo Road and Emmerdale star, after he became involved in a bullying row with former heavyweight champion, David Haye.

The 45-year-old boxer was accused of ‘bullying’ the soap star throughout his time in the jungle. For those unaware, the show was filmed several months ago, although the live finale of the series will take place in London on Friday.

Adam Thomas Admits Row With David Haye Forced Him to Seek Therapy

Speaking on the At Home with the Thomas Bros podcast, which he shares with his brothers, Thomas spoke openly about his experience: “It was like being back in school again and although it wasn’t physical bullying or anything like that, and I’m not saying it was bullying, he was just mind f****** me.”

During the podcast, Thomas berated himself for not standing up to Haye but revealed that the spat has ‘changed’ him. He continued: “I’m in therapy now, like it’s f***ed with me mentally because I just thought, ‘How is this happening? I’m a 37-year-old man’. I’m like, ‘How am I letting some other person do this to me in here?”

David Haye

In a post on social media following the airing of his spat with Haye, Thomas praised his female campmates, Scarlett Moffatt, Ashley Roberts, Sinitta, the aforementioned Collins, and Beverley Callard:

“I just want to say thank you to these incredible women. You’ve supported me in ways I don’t even think you fully understand, through the doubt, the unknown, and all the moments in between. I’ve always had a soft heart but a strong soul, and this whole experience has really tested that.”

He also expressed gratitude to his followers, stating: “Reading your messages, seeing your comments, feeling your support, it’s given me something I can’t even put into words. It’s brought me peace. It’s reminded me that staying true to myself was always enough.”

He ends with a pointed barb: “I was never in it to win. I just refused to let them win by breaking me.”

How Adam Thomas Really Feels About David Haye After ‘I’m a Celebrity’ Bullying Row

Despite bursting into tears after recalling his experience, Thomas revealed how he feels about Haye today.

The actor admitted that Haye had apologised to him, commenting that the boxer has a ‘heart of gold’. Thomas went on to say: “I know he gives off this bravado, but deep down, I know he [Haye] is a good guy. He really opened up to me, explained why he is the way he is.”

Upon his elimination from the programme, Haye spoke about his behaviour in the jungle:

“I won the world heavyweight championship against a seven-foot Russian giant. When a grown man tells me that a fun TV show, where we’re being paid handsomely every single day, is the hardest thing he’s ever been through, it’s just not a frequency I recognise.”

Thomas may not be an entirely innocent party either, with fellow contestant Sinitta claiming that the soap star ‘goaded’ Haye, and he is currently embroiled in a feud with former footballer Jimmy Bullard.

With the final coming up on Friday, it remains to be seen whether Thomas will come out on top.

Man Utd Handed Transfer Blow In Race For Afonso Moreira

Published

Manchester United’s interest in a potential wonderkid winger has been knocked back, as FootMercato reports that talks have opened with a rival club for their signature.

The Red Devils are keen to bolster their whole squad after confirming a return to the Champions League next season, with an increased playing schedule and step up in quality set to test the managerial acumen of Michael Carrick to the extremes.

The midfield has been the main area of focus so far, with the central ranks in more immediate need of improvement following Casemiro’s exit as a free agent.

Beyond several potential moves there, Man United are also looking at options to bring some quality to the forward ranks who can compete with the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Sesko.

A particular emphasis is set to be placed on promising talents for the future, but one target could now move elsewhere.

Afonso Moreira Transfer Talks

Manchester United have shown interest in a move for Lyon winger Afonso Moreira, after the 21-year-old star impressed in Ligue 1 over the previous campaign.

Reports claimed that the Red Devils had made contact for Moreira to land a potential bargain deal for the Portuguese forward, who looks set for an exit over the summer.

However, according to FootMercato, Bayer Leverkusen have opened talks with Lyon to try and get a deal over the line for the star in the coming days.

It comes as the French club need to sell by June 30th to comply with finance rules in the division, with Atletico Madrid among the other teams to express interest.

Leverkusen’s push to sign Moreira comes as a blow to Man United, who may struggle to guarantee game time for the youngster as he looks to progress.

Missing out on the youngster, who has been described as “talented”, would be a potential missed opportunity to land a future star.

Man United Forward Depth

Manchester United need to add forward depth, but the wide areas may not be as much of a priority as the centre-forward role this summer.

On the wings, Cunha and Mbeumo are regular options, backed up with quality in Amad Diallo and Patrick Dorgu, who have chipped in plenty over the past season.

Up front may be more of a consideration because of a potential exit for Joshua Zirkzee. That would leave just Benjamin Sesko as a regular centre-forward.

A versatile option such as Iliman Ndiaye could be on the cards, as he is capable of playing as a central striker, as well as on the wings if required.

It remains to be seen who could be next up, but it looks unlikely to be Moreira.

Club President Contacts Arsenal For Leandro Trossard Transfer

Published

Arsenal’s summer transfer plans could take a twist as a forward has been linked with a potential exit from the club, according to reports from beIN Sports.

Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta are looking to bolster the options available in the frontline this summer, acknowledging that perhaps a little more spark is needed in the final third.

A left-winger appears to be the priority, alongside another possible striker or a number ten that could bring some cutting edge to the Gunners where they need it most.

Given the depth in the squad, however, Arsenal will need to facilitate some exits that may appear to be ruthless considering the players available.

As those transfer moves are being pondered, contact has already been made that could see a key player leave in the coming weeks.

Leandro Trossard Transfer Exit

Leandro Trossard

According to the report from beIN Sports, Besiktas have made contact with Arsenal in an attempt to sign Leandro Trossard in the summer transfer window.

Serdal Adalı, the club’s president, is believed to be the one who has spoken to the Gunners in hopes of learning about the terms of any potential deal.

The Belgian international has been targeted as a primary target for the Turkish Super Lig club while he enters the final year under contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Trossard has been heavily linked with an exit due to Arsenal’s interest in signing a left-winger this summer. One of him or Gabriel Martinelli is expected to leave if room is to be made on the flank.

As it stands, it’s the 31-year-old who seems to be attracting suitors, with Besiktas just the latest club to join the race to sign the forward this summer.

If a move goes through, then Trossard will be remembered fondly for what he managed in his time with Arsenal.

Trossard’s Bargain Transfer

Trossard could call time on his Arsenal career this summer after nearly four years at the club, following his January transfer switch from Brighton in 2023.

The Gunners paid just £27 million to secure the Belgian forward after he seemingly fell out with Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi before his exit from the club.

Since then, the Belgian international has been nothing short of reliable for the club, making 174 appearances, scoring 36 goals and assisting 34 times.

Shortly after his arrival, Ian Wright labelled Trossard as “unbelievable”, and he has proven to be just that in almost every appearance since.

Dream Arteta Target: Arsenal Confident of Signing ‘Absolutely Frightening’ Star

Arsenal are in need of attacking reinforcements.

50 of his Arsenal appearances have come over the past campaign, as Arteta regularly used the forward as an important option in the Premier League title triumph, as well as the run to the Champions League final.

The output of Trossard far outweighs the transfer fee paid in, and should he leave over the summer, then he will be firmly remembered as one of the best bargain transfers ever, on top of being a cult hero.

Tottenham Enter Race to Sign Viery

Published

Tottenham have already made strides to improve their defensive options this summer, but Portal do Gremista reports that the Lilywhites are back in for another player in the defence.

Roberto De Zerbi has wasted no time in attempting to rebuild the Spurs squad in his image, with Marcos Senesi the latest confirmed transfer addition to the defensive line.

The Argentinian centre-back joins Andy Robertson in becoming the second deal sealed by Tottenham, but work is already underway to add even more strength in depth.

Several bids have been made in an attempt to sign Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton, with the direction of travel suggesting that the Dutch centre-back will be the next permanent addition.

Even with those signings in the backline, Tottenham appear to be lining up another defender, but one for the future.

Tottenham Want Defender Viery

Another defender on Tottenham’s radar this summer is Gremio star Viery, a young defender who is capable of playing as both a centre-back, and a left-back.

Portal do Gremista claims that Spurs have joined the race for the 21-year-old, alongside several top clubs in the Premier League and others in Europe.

Newcastle, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Sunderland are claimed to be in the race from England, while Roma, Juventus and Fiorentina have also been monitoring a move from the continent.

Scouts from those clubs have been watching the defender intently, with Gremio understanding that there is likely to be a battle over the star’s signature.

Newcastle and Fiorentina are claimed to have bids in the region of €12 million (£10.3 million) rejected, with a potential bidding war on the cards for those involved.

Viery could be the second Brazilian star to join Tottenham this summer, if he joins, as the club closes in on a move to sign Savinho from Manchester City.

Centre-Back Dilemma

Roberto De Zerbi

A move for Viery could prove to be an impressive one, if the young defender goes on to impress in the Premier League for Tottenham.

That said, it brings up the obvious question surrounding where he would be in the team’s pecking order, and what role he would exactly fill for the future.

If the 21-year-old is viewed as an option for the long-term, then he will have a lot of quality players ahead of him, if as expected, the centre-back ranks include the likes of Micky van de Ven, Kevin Danso, Luka Vuskovic, Senesi, and Van Hecke.

If he takes up the role of promising youngster on the fringes, then it brings up doubts over Vuskovic’s future, amid links with a potential exit.

The Croatia international is keen on game time moving forward, and adding another centre-back into the conversation may only restrict either player’s chances further.
