Celtic Confident of Sealing Double Transfer Next Week
Celtic are confident that they will be able to secure a double deal this week for Martin O’Neill to begin strengthening their squad, according to TEAMtalk.
The Scottish champions have so far made just one signing, bringing in forward Camilo Duran in a deal worth around £5m, but they are expecting a number of first-team stars to depart, and O’Neill is looking to bring several players in to help rebuild.
The Hoops suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat at the hands of Sporting CP in their opening pre-season friendly this week, which saw fans chant ‘sack the board’ from the stands, and that has kicked them into gear in an attempt to strengthen the squad as quickly as possible.
Celtic Confident of Double Deal
According to a report, Celtic have already held talks with both Utretcht and winger Adrian Blake about a deal to take him to Glasgow, while Egyptian midfielder Haissem Hassan is also someone they are working on bringing in.
The 20-year-old winger is into the final year of his contract with the Eredivisie club, and is valued at around £2.5m, which Celtic see as good value for a highly-rated forward. However, his contract situation means they will look to work a fee down, although there is confidence a deal can be completed.
In addition to Blake, Celtic are also working hard on a deal to bring in Egypt international Hassan following his performances at the World Cup this summer.
The midfielder is available this summer, and the Hoops have been in regular contact with his representatives as they look to persuade him to move to Glasgow rather than a club in the top five leagues, where he is understood to have interest.
Celtic are hopeful their ability to offer Champions League football will aid them in their pursuit of both players, and there is confidence both deals could be completed next week if everything goes to plan.

Celtic Need Big Rebuild
Celtic will count themselves lucky to have been crowned champions last season despite a poor campaign by their own standards, and they know they need to rebuild the squad to ensure that doesn’t happen again.
Players like Daizen Maeda, Benjamin Nygren and Arne Engels are all being targeted by clubs abroad, and replacing them will be a thankless task for those in charge of the Glasgow club.
But bringing in top talents and experienced options will help to bring back the balance, and O’Neill knows what it takes to build a title-winning side, so it’s a situation to watch closely in the coming days.

Arsenal to Complete Deal for Christos Tzolis on Monday
Arsenal are set to complete their second summer transfer on Monday, according to journalist Konstantinos Lianos.
The Gunners have already added goalkeeper Illan Meslier to the squad as cover for David Raya, while Piero Hincapie’s loan move from Bayer Leverkusen has been made permanent. But Arsenal are keen to make more additions to the squad, after a terrific season in which they won the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
Mikel Arteta allowed forward Leandro Trossard to move to Besiktas for £17m as he entered the final year of his contract, and the club are now bracing to seal a deal for his replacement in the coming days.
Arsenal Set to Complete Tzolis Deal
According to Lianos, Arsenal are set to complete a move to sign Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis before pre-season begins on Monday, July 20th.
Tzolis, who has been described as ‘elite’, registered 22 goals and 29 assists in all competitions for the Belgian side last season, which has attracted the interest of a number of Europe’s top clubs. But the talented forward has made a move to north London his priority, and a deal is set to progress now.
A formal bid is expected to be made in the coming days, with Brugge expected to accept it, and Tzolis has already confirmed his wish to move to the Emirates Stadium.
As a result, Lianos says that he has been told a deal should be finalised before Monday, when Arteta will know exactly when all of his first-team stars will be returning to training following the World Cup.
“I understand Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis’ move to Arsenal will progress and probably be finalised by Monday, July 20 when pre-season officially begins,” he wrote.
“The World Cup will be officially over and Mikel Arteta will know when all of his stars will be back.”

Arsenal To Push After World Cup
While Tzolis’ deal looks set to be completed quickly, the Gunners are nowhere near done when it comes to the transfer business they want to complete.
Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers is understood to be the top target, and he is open to a move, while Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola is also seen as a big target to come in on the wing, with Trossard gone and both Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus linked with moves away.
The club’s business is likely to be accelerated once the World Cup comes to an end, but Arsenal are adamant they will be competing to make history next season by winning consecutive league titles for the first time in their history.

Tottenham Blow as Move to Sign Liverpool Star Cody Gakpo Collapses
Tottenham have been dealt a major blow after it emerged that Liverpool have no intention of selling Cody Gakpo this summer, according to talkSPORT.
The north London side have had an excellent transfer window so far, bringing in Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Martin Dubravka, Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes, and Sandro Tonali to bolster Roberto De Zerbi’s squad, but they are still keen to add new forward options too.
Gakpo had emerged as a top target for Spurs, with the Netherlands international shining at the World Cup this summer, but a deal will not be happening after a fresh update out of Anfield.
Liverpool Don’t Want to Sell Gakpo
Gakpo, who signed a new deal at Anfield worth £250,000-a-week last summer, had been tipped for an exit away from the Merseyside club this summer after a string of poor performances last season.
Liverpool are expected to undergo a major rebuild of their own, with Ibrahima Konate and Mohamed Salah both leaving alongside Robertson, while Federico Chiesa is also expected to move on, and there is strong interest in Curtis Jones in midfield.
But it has now emerged that Andoni Iraola, who replaced Arne Slot as manager, sees Gakpo as a key member of his squad for the upcoming campaign, and he is expected to stay.
Liverpool are keen to add to their wide options in this window, having already signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna, and that means Gakpo will not be allowed to leave.
Tottenham are now set to look at alternative options, with Man City star Savinho among their top targets, while AC Milan superstar Rafael Leao has also been linked with a move to north London.

Gakpo Deal Always Unlikely
A move for Gakpo was always an unlikely scenario considering Liverpool’s thin squad, and the value they would place on the winger’s head. But, the same could have been said about moves for Fernandes and Tonali, and Spurs got those done.
A left-winger who can provide a goal threat and also play across the line seems to be a priority for De Zerbi, and Gakpo fits the bill perfectly. But Liverpool know they have a top-quality forward option, and won’t want to let him go easily.
Spurs will now have to look elsewhere to get their forward options upgraded, but they are working hard to do so, and new faces are surely not too far away.

Man Utd Ready to Sign Crysencio Summerville in Bargain £30m Deal
Manchester United are now eyeing a bargain £30m move to sign West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville this summer, although it hinges on one factor, according to the Guardian.
After a quiet start to the summer transfer window, Man United chiefs have sprung into action this week by completing three deals, while U-turning on the agreement they had to sign Brazil international Ederson from Atalanta.
The Red Devils decided after an issue with the midfielder’s medical that they would pull out of a deal, with the club securing the signatures of Chelsea’s Andrey Santos and Aston Villa’s Youri Tielemans for £50m and £35m respectively this week.
Karl Darlow has also moved to Old Trafford as the club’s second-choice goalkeeper, with Andre Onana already re-joining Trabzonspor on loan and Altay Bayindir expected to leave this summer.
United are still looking to bring in a third midfielder to join Santos and Tielemans after Manuel Ugarte suffered a serious knee injury at the 2026 World Cup with Uruguay, with the likes of French duo Manu Kone and Eduardo Camavinga, and Premier League pair Alex Scott and Carlos Baleba, among the names linked.
The Red Devils are also looking to add a left-sided attacker, according to GIVEMESPORT sources, should Marcus Rashford depart the club.
Man United Eyeing Summerville Transfer Amid Rashford Update
While United have been linked with players like Morgan Rogers, Rafael Leao and Bazoumana Toure this summer, it appears as though Summerville remains a preferred target for the wing.
GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs reported at the start of this month that United had opened club-to-club talks over a move for the Netherlands international, who announced himself on the global stage with some impressive performances, goals and assists at the World Cup.
The Guardian report that the Red Devils are ready to make a move for the £30m-rated forward if Rashford leaves, with the England international currently due to report for pre-season training at Carrington after Barcelona decided to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle instead.
West Ham are open to selling their ‘unstoppable’ forward following their relegation to the Championship, with United said to view him as the ideal fit for their needs.

Man United Keen to Offload Rashford
While United and Rashford are said to have called a truce ahead of pre-season training with the 28-year-old no closer to securing a move away from Old Trafford, Red Devils chiefs are keen to offload him either permanently or on loan before the September 1 transfer deadline, according to the same report.
Rashford still has two years remaining on his £17.5m-per-year contract, and United are keen to remove him from their wage bill like they did with Casemiro earlier in the summer.
Barcelona are likely to want to do another loan deal if they do decide to bring the Englishman back to the Camp Nou, while the likes of Tottenham Hotspur have been linked in the Premier League.
The suggestion is though that Rashford would prefer another move abroad if he is to leave United again this summer, but with interest currently low it would be no surprise to see him at least start the Premier League season in a red shirt.
