Allow south complete presidencial term – Osita Okechukwu to Atiku
A founding member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Osita Okechukwu, on Sunday urged the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to allow the South to complete its turn of the Presidency, for the good of Nigeria.
Okechukwu was responding to a call from the Southern Political Progressive Amalgamation Forum, urging Atiku to think carefully about the choice of his vice-presidential running mate before the 2027 general election, so he can build a stronger support group in the South.
In a statement he signed, Okechukwu dismissed the appeal, saying that pressure from groups like the Southern Political Progressive Amalgamation Forum pushed Atiku to stop following the rotation rule, thereby causing “our sister political party, the PDP, to face instability.”
The former Director General of the Voice of Nigeria, VON, asked the former Vice President to go back to the zoning convention to help make Nigeria’s democracy stronger.
Okechukwu said that Atiku had once supported the value and importance of zoning during the time when former President Goodluck Jonathan was in office.
The APC chieftain said that since Atiku benefited from the zoning agreement, he should follow the principle and back its continued use for the good of national unity, fairness, and political peace.
He said, “It’s never too late to make things right. He should act like a leader and stop blaming President Tinubu with harsh words. Instead, he should use the few months left to build a strong opposition.”

2027: Hatred for Tinubu unprecedented, North not supporting him – Dele Momodu
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dele Momodu, has said the level of hatred against President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election is unprecedented.
Momodu disclosed this while speaking on Tinubu’s chances of winning the 2027 presidential election, stressing that he no longer has the support of the North.
In an interview with media personality, Rufai Oseni, the former presidential candidate said Tinubu first needs to win the mandatory 25 percent.
Momodu also noted that Tinubu must also win a minimum of 25 states to emerge as the winner of the presidential election.
He said: “What he needs to win is first to do 25 percent which is mandatory. It’s about the overall majority, once he can meet that target of minimum 25 states, I don’t see how he won’t get it this time. The hatred for Tinubu is unprecedented.
“The majority of the people are opposed to him right now, including people within his own party.
“The last time he won because he was able to do well courtesy of the support from the North, now he doesn’t have that support, and he doesn’t have it in the South.
“Osun state where he comes from, his ancestral home rejected him last time, and I know they will reject him again.”

2027 election: Makinde, Sowore inconsequential – Tinubu’s aide, Bwala
Daniel Bwala, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, has described Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and the African Action Congress, AAC, presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, as inconsequential ahead of the 2027 elections.
Bwala, however, noted that Sowore is more popular and liked than Makinde in Nigeria.
In an interview with Symponi TV, the presidential aide explained that the odds do not favour Makinde, stressing that the governor can’t win the presidential election in his state.
He said: “Makinde is inconsequential in any calculations, if you look at the metrix, data, and numbers, which equation brings him close?
“Makinde may not even win the presidential election in his state not to talk of anywhere else. Makinde has not gone to any part of Nigeria, he has not nominated the vice presidential candidate.
“Makinde never had a strong political history where he interacted with the rest of Nigerians, Makinde has been confined only to Oyo State, he’s not even known that much in Lagos not to talk of Southwest Nigeria.
“If you want to be president of the country, it’s important that you are relevant around the country, you have partnerships, and collaboration. This is what we use as anybody can wake from his bed and want to be president.
“Sowore wants to be president, he is more pronounced, more known in Nigeria than Makinde.
“There is no part of Nigeria you will go to that people will not say that they like Sowore, but even in this election, he is inconsequential.”

APC used Lai Mohammed’s propaganda to boot Jonathan out of power – Kenneth Okonkwo
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Kenneth Okonkwo, has called the All Progressives Congress, APC, a party of propaganda.
Okonkwo said the APC gained power in 2015 by using propaganda, stressing that former President Goodluck Jonathan was booted out of power through name-calling.
In a post on X, the ADC chieftain recalled how a former Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, led the propaganda campaign against Jonathan.
He wrote: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) is a party that spreads propaganda. It gained power in 2015 through propaganda.
“President Goodluck Jonathan was the incumbent President of Nigeria from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015. He was booted out of office through name-calling.
“He was fired from his job because of bad comments and insults. The public relations officer for Bola Tinubu, Lai Mohammed, was leading this propaganda effort at the time. Jonathan was accused of being clueless, corrupt, insensitive, and incompetent.
‘He was rejected because he couldn’t control the security problems in the North-East. He was pummelled for removing fuel subsidy. Eventually, he couldn’t withstand the name-calling.
“Jonathan was really fair; he didn’t go after the APC to eliminate them or target his political rivals for unfair treatment.
“He preferred to say that “no politician’s ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian. When he was told he lost the election, he calmly stepped down from his position.
“He also agreed and praised his opponent, President Muhammadu Buhari, before the results were officially announced.”
