Becky Lynch’s Comment to Liv Morgan on WWE Raw Deleted By Netflix

Published

on

By

Netflix’s most recent episode of WWE Raw has been edited to cut out a viral clip of a Becky Lynch comment towards Liv Morgan.

This instance, however, isn’t the first time that certain parts of the Raw broadcast have been censored by Netflix, with any reference to X-rated words or events usually cut out.

Occurrences where there is blood are also blocked. For instance, in the main event of the same Raw show between Jacob Fatu and Royce Keys, Keys’ clearly bloodied face was censored on the replay.

In addition, a recent interaction between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi on the same program was also heavily edited.

Why Netflix Makes Cuts To WWE Programming

WWE Netflix

WWE programming on Netflix remains TV-PG, family-friendly and advertiser-friendly, maintaining the same content rating used on traditional television since 2008.

For a show to violate the TV-PG rating, it would have to include frequent use of severe profanity, graphic or intentional bloodshed, explicit sexual content and highly suggestive storylines.

Therefore, Keys’ bloodied face and Lynch’s comment would contribute to violating these guidelines.

WWE president Nick Khan and chief content officer Triple H stated that programming would be ‘family-friendly’ ahead of WWE’s move to Netflix in January 2025, but didn’t state how far that description would go.

“We’re not changing the rating of our programming,” Khan said. “So there’s some online chatter about, ‘Oh, it’s going to be R-rated’, or for us old folks, X-rated.

“That’s definitely not happening. It’s family-friendly, multi-generational, advertiser-friendly programming. It’s going to stay that way.”

Lynch made her return to WWE on Monday after a two-month hiatus to confront Morgan and her Judgment Day stablemates Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.

As the Judgment Day trio left the ring, Lynch stated that Morgan was ‘not the greatest women’s champion in your own group’, referencing current Intercontinental Championship holder Rodriguez.

She then shouted: “You’re not even the greatest women’s champion to sleep with Dominik Mysterio!”

Mysterio and Morgan are in a kayfabe relationship on-screen, with Lynch clearly referencing his previous on-screen relationship with Morgan’s long-time rival Rhea Ripley.

The latter comment quickly went viral on social media, and has racked up over 940,000 views when it was posted on WWE’s X account.

In the replay of Raw that is currently accessible, Lynch’s promo cuts out at the initial ‘not the greatest women’s champion in your own group’ comment.

Instead, the broadcast goes straight to Morgan standing at the end of the entrance ramp as former women’s world champion Stephanie Vaquer makes her return.

With Netflix taking such a strict stance on censorship, it may be wise to watch Raw live as it happens if you want to catch the show each week in its full form.

Every New Feature on Career in EA Sports FC 27

Published

on

By

One of the most popular options within the series, Career mode consistently delivers an endless and immersive managerial experience. And with EA Sports FC 27, the developers looked to have delivered one of the most intriguing updates in years.

EA recently shared a deep dive across its social media platforms and website, revealing an impressive slate of changes set to transform how players navigate the game mode. With significant boosts to both managerial and player pathways, GIVEMESPORT names the standout features that will have users excited about the game’s release.

Realistic Transfer Market

Multifaceted Transfer Negotiations

A great addition to Career is the new detailed negotiation process. As fans know, transfers are not completed over the course of a brief conversation; they often take weeks or even months of back-and-forth discussions. These stages have been incorporated into the transfer process, with initial enquiries, rival team interest, and last-minute contract changes among the inclusions.

Accurate Player Valuation

EA has cleverly partnered with TransferRoom to create dynamic player value fluctuations as Career progresses. Market conditions, player form and potential, and league quality will all play a role in a player’s price.

Contract and Add-On Depth

In addition to the detailed negotiation process, a litany of contractual stipulations will also be included. Payment installments, loan-back deals, player exchanges, and even buyback clauses are just some of the transfer augmentations that have been added this year.

Scouting and Growth Profiles

EA Sports FC 27 Raul Jimenez EA Sports via YouTube

In past editions, scouting has provided a very surface report on promising players. But in EA Sports FC 27, that’s about to change. Details on the player’s potential and how to coach that development out of them takes centre stage. EA understands that wonderkids aren’t magicked out of thin air.

The introduction of Growth Profiles complements this. Not every footballer follows the same growth curve, with some players peaking early and others blooming late into their careers. These intricate profiles will determine how each player develops within Career.

Dynamic Player Overalls

EA Sports FC 27 Virgil van Dijk profile EA Sports via YouTube

Rather than remaining a fixed number, EA Sports FC 27 delivers player overalls that rise and fall due to a number of realistic factors. Form, match fitness, and injuries are all individual elements that can affect a player’s rating, but interestingly, teammates can also have an effect on overall, too.

Competition for places within the squad can affect player morale, leading to ratings decreases. The player’s narrative can also have an effect. For example, a usually reliable veteran’s lack of fitness and match time can affect their rating. In contrast, players who suddenly hit a rich vein of form may receive an instant boost to their overall.

Gameplay and Tactics

EA Sports FC 27 Gameplay EA Sports

Die-hard fans will already be aware of the major gameplay improvements coming to EA Sports FC 27, with team AI expected to have a significant influence on Career mode.

Mid-game tactical adjustments are reflective of real-world football and could bring an intriguing new wrinkle to match days in Career mode. Tactical improvements, both during matches and for the season ahead, are also being suggested as potential factors set to affect the game mode. Improving AI and tactics seem to be adding real-life awareness to both players and teams, which could add another layer of immersion to Career.

Rivalries

EA Sports FC 27 Andoni Iraola Liverpool EA Sports via YouTube

Player Feuds

One unique addition to the Player Career mode is the ability to engage in rivalries with other players. The new system allows the player to establish these rivalries with players who play similar positions or roles, or with players who play for rival clubs.

Social media reactions within Career will help to raise momentum within the rivalry’s narrative, deciding whether your chosen player becomes the hero or the villain of the story. Additionally, winning these hard-fought rivalries will earn Personality Points, adding another exciting motivation to the long-term narrative of Player Career saves.

Transfer Market Club Rivalries

Rivalries will also add a twist to the newly-dynamic transfer market as well. Again, EA have been looking at their utilisation of AI, with the hopes of making in-game teams more reflective of their real-life counterparts. The developers are hoping that this will result in rival teams being more competitive with players that your chosen team are looking to sign.

The hope is that the unique personalities of players and managers will come across in transfer negotiations too. This should help to bring an immersive spice to the trials and tribulations of transfer negotiations.

Greatest 11 of British Players in Football History

Published

on

By

Despite British players throughout history never really being given as much hype and praise as other European nations as well as other continents around the world, the litany of talent which England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales have produced is truly remarkable despite the small population compared to other countries.

Not only has Britain produced some of the greatest players of all time such as George Best, Kenny Dalglish and Bobby Charlton, but some of the most iconic moments in football history have come from British players.

On the subject of iconic moments: British greats Gordon Banks, famous for his iconic World Cup save and Gareth Bale, well known for his incredible Champions League final overhead kick, feature in the greatest XI of British players in football history, which GIVEMESPORT has named.

Ranking factors

  • Legacy
  • Achievements and honours
  • Consistency and longevity throughout their career

Between the sticks is none other than one of England’s World Cup-winning heroes from 1966, Gordon Banks. Banks is one of England’s most iconic and best players of all time and the fact he is a goalkeeper makes that even more impressive.

Banks was an unbelievable goalkeeper, and he produced arguably the most iconic save in the 1970 World Cup, which years on is still commonly referred to as “the save of the century.” The thing which separates Banks from other British goalkeeping greats is his consistency and calming presence, which massively benefitted the defence in front of him.

A man who does not get anywhere near as much respect for his playing days as he should. Gary Neville is the epitome of the phrase ‘Mr Consistent.’ Due to how attacking the role of full-backs has become in modern-day football, the Manchester United legend’s consistent and defensive game does not get enough praise.

For many years, Neville was one of the most consistent and reliable right-backs on the planet and played a key role for both club and country. He was not blessed with much athleticism and pace, but still managed to perform at an elite level throughout his career which lasted almost 20 years.

One-half of the centre-back partnership in the greatest British XI in football history is Liverpool and Scotland legend, Alan Hansen. The Scotsman was a player ahead of his time. During his playing days, defenders were looked at as scrappy players and warriors, but he had terrific ability with the ball at his feet.

Hansen was arguably the best defender throughout the 1980s, and he certainly had the achievements to back up his ability. The Liverpool legend won a staggering eight English titles with the Reds between 1977 and 1991 and many can say with confidence that if it was not for Hansen being the rock at the back he was, Liverpool would most likely not have had as much success.

Bobby Moore is one of three English World Cup-winning heroes who make the greatest British XI of all time. Despite that iconic English team having so many very famous names, Moore is often the very first name people think of when they look back to 1966 as he was the captain of the team.

Just like his centre-back partner in this team, Hansen, Moore’s ability and style were ahead of his time. His passing ability, in particular, was of a midfielder’s standard, which, for the period of time he was playing in, is unbelievable. Moore is one of the most elegant defenders ever but also put his body on the line for his country and the clubs he represented.

Ashley Cole is not just arguably the best British left-back of all time, his achievements, consistency and ability throughout the years are enough to put him in the conversation of best left-back of all time full stop.

Just like his full-back counterpart in this team, Gary Neville, Cole’s defensive ability throughout his career was pretty much unmatched and one of the biggest praises which followed him through his playing days was how much success he had when playing against the great, Cristiano Ronaldo. The former Chelsea and Arsenal left-back had everything to his game including pace, world-class tackling ability as well as some of the best 1v1 defensive ability of all time.

Only a select few British players have succeeded at Real Madrid, however, Gareth Bale is one of those very few British players to have put on the iconic white strip who has become a club legend and was truly world-class.

Bale’s time with ‘Los Blancos’ was littered with trophies, and he was a huge part of that, particularly in the UEFA Champions League. Despite the latter years of his career being unfortunately plagued with injuries, the legacy that the Welshman created during his peak days with Real Madrid is enough to cement him as one of the greatest and most famous players to hail from Britain.

There are not many other players throughout football history who could make a midfield tick better than Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. The Scouser had everything any manager would ever want from a midfielder, whether it was his perfect passing ability, his powerful long-range strikes as well as his ability to get gritty and dominate the pitch with his physicality.

Gerrard may be one of the best midfielders ever, but the iconic moments he has produced throughout his career are often looked at over his ability because of their importance. Gerrard famously led his boyhood club, Liverpool, to one of the greatest comebacks in Champions League history, ‘The Miracle of Istanbul’ in 2005.

Partnering Gerrard in midfield in the greatest British XI of all time is his fellow countryman, Paul Scholes. Gerrard and Scholes had similar careers in terms of what they both meant for their clubs and being local stars. However, the Manchester United legend’s career was filled with many more trophies and honours.

Scholes is one of the most technically gifted midfielders of all time and was a key part of United’s dominance in the Premier League over the years. Similar to his midfield partner, Gerrard, Scholes’ ability to control a midfield with his impeccable passing and elegance was a joy to watch, and he played the game at his own pace.

Despite George Best having spent the majority of his career out on the right wing, the Northern Irishman was also world-class playing through the middle, just behind the striker, as well as out on the left.

Best’s technical brilliance and elegance were truly special and his ability to leave defenders behind him and make them look like amateurs was incredibly fun to watch. Versatility, as previously mentioned, was also a huge trait of Best’s, as he could operate pretty much anywhere across the front line and perform just as well. Best is one of the big icons to come out of Britain and his legacy is still very much alive and still being mentioned today.

Despite being viewed as an out-and-out striker throughout his career, Kenny Dalglish’s creativity and playing style was not one of your typical old-fashioned centre forward during his playing days. The Scotsman’s career assist tally of 188 shows just how good he was at dropping deep and being a key creative outlet for his teams as well as being an elite-level goalscorer.

Dalglish is the most decorated player in this British XI by quite a distance. He won a staggering 35 trophies throughout his career representing Celtic and Liverpool and was the key reason behind that success in most of the trophy wins.

The third and final England World Cup-winning hero to feature in the greatest British XI of all time is the great Bobby Charlton. The Manchester United and England icon was known mainly for his versatility and intelligence but also his pure goalscoring ability. Charlton is one of the most natural finishers of all time and had a shot so powerful it could take the net off.

Charlton’s impact on not just English football, but also world football was huge, and he is still talked about in an incredible way many years on from his playing days. As well as being a 1966 hero for England, Charlton was also a hero for United as he was the man who took the club forward following the devastating Munich Air Disaster.
