A WWE segment from the 2000s involving Torrie Wilson and Sable has gone viral once again, as many fans claim it would get the company cancelled in 2026.

The segment in question involves Wilson taking part in the Sable Invitational Bikini Contest on SmackDown. The former could be seen dancing seductively up against Sable after revealing her bikini just moments before. However, it wasn’t enough for her to be deemed the winner.

The two wrestlers in question have had successful careers both in and out of the ring. Sable is currently married to WWE and UFC legend Brock Lesnar and was once the WWF women’s champion during her time with the company.

Wilson, meanwhile, is in the WWE Hall of Fame and has had a successful career outside the ring, having appeared in Playboy Magazine, which this feud was based around back in 2003.

Torrie Wilson & Sable Segment

The provocative segment has got X talking about how this segment would not be able to appear on WWE television in 2026, with Wilson weighing in with a reply which said, “For. Sure.”

It’s clear that Wilson thinks WWE television would not be able to air something of this magnitude in 2026.

The user who posted the original post that Wilson quoted said: “This Sable and Torrie segment would get WWE cancelled in 2026. In the 2000s, WWE was a different universe.”

WWE’s Changes From Attitude Era

WWE has moved away from this type of content over the last several years, as they look to give women a better space to show off their skills under Triple H. Far from the Vince McMahon era of Divas and sexualising female wrestlers, which Wilson had something to say about in an interview with Chris Van Vliet, in which she said the ‘bikini contest’ segments were “mortifying.”

Nowadays, WWE has fitted into cultural stereotypes by moving to a PG product. Many fans have had things to say about this, with users on X once again stating their views on WWE’s current product.

One person said: “It was a different era, and stuff like that felt a lot more acceptable back then. And from a business perspective, it definitely helped attract a certain audience.”

Another user weighed in on it getting WWE cancelled, and they actually disagreed by saying: “No, it wouldn’t. It would bring in viewers!”

But one fan is happy to see the back of this WWE era, which saw women get less screen time and put into more comedic segments. They wrote: “And thank god things are different now.”

One thing is for sure about this, and that’s that Torrie Wilson bringing this famous segment back up has sparked a debate on whether this era was better than the current one, or has WWE moved in the right direction away from this content?

Tottenham are still looking to add at least three new faces to Roberto De Zerbi’s squad before the summer transfer window closes. And those three new signings will all be in forward positions.

Spurs have done some excellent business in the transfer market already this summer, backing their new head coach with more than £230million of investment in the playing staff.

Six players have arrived at the club, with Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke the big-money arrivals. But as with any overhaul, departures are necessary and 11 players have also been allowed to leave.

Forward signings are a necessity at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham are in talks with Manchester City over the signing of Savinho – someone they came close to signing last summer only for a deal to fall through at the last moment – and are also in talks with Liverpool over a move to sign Cody Gakpo.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Spurs want to sign both, and are keen on adding a central striker to their ranks too.

Ask any Spurs supporter and they will tell you the side is lacking firepower and that a club looking to make inroads at the top of the table again cannot be going into a new Premier League season with only Dominic Solanke and Richarlison as the recognised strikers.

De Zerbi is not even sure if the Brazilian will still be at the club once the transfer window shuts on September 1.

Richarlison was the club’s top scorer in what was a dismal 2025/26 campaign, netting 12 goals – 11 coming in 32 Premier League appearances, although nine of them came in just 20 starts.

Solanke’s season was beset by injury, meanwhile, with Spurs’ record signing before the arrivals of Fernandes and Tonali only managing 12 starts, scoring six goals.

And while Spurs may be in the market for a new No.9, it is Solanke who has already shown, despite the lack of minutes last season, that he can be the answer to De Zerbi’s problems…providing he is fit.

Speaking about Solanke during Spurs’ pre-season tour of New Zealand and Australia, De Zerbi said: “I like him as a player, I like him as a guy. There are not many strikers better than Dom Solanke in the Premier League.

“I think he changes the quality of performances depending on the confidence he feels. First of all, we have to finish the transfer market and then we speak better about Solanke.

Solanke will run and run, pressing high and working hard for his team, something De Zerbi demands in his players at a very basic level. And he has shown, with six goals in 12 starts last season and 16 goals and eight assists in 37 starts in 2024/25 that he can be the main man for the Italian.

In fact, he is one of the most accurate strikers in the Premier League, according to the stats.

His numbers for 2025/26 are skewed somewhat by his lack of minutes, but it is clear when he gets chances he scores them, according to StatsMuse at least.

Spurs have been linked with the likes of Mateta and Thiago in this window, as they look to add firepower to their attack. With question marks over Richarlison’s future, and with Solanke still seemingly not fit, De Zerbi cannot make the decision not to sign another centre-forward.

However, when he is fit, it is clear to see that in Solanke, De Zerbi has a striker who can do exactly what he needs him to do.

While the focus is understandably on bolstering the attack in the remaining weeks of the summer transfer window, Arsenal still have plenty of work to do regarding outgoings.

The Gunners are looking to add more firepower to their forward department before the window closes on September 1, having already completed deals for Bruno Guimaraes, Christos Tzolis and Illan Meslier this summer. Bradley Barcola remains a target, while the likes of Julian Alvarez, Victor Osimhen and Kenan Yildiz continue to be linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

However, to raise funds for these potential additions, and to create squad space for them, Andrea Berta needs to sanction some significant departures.

At least six players must be moved on in the coming weeks; otherwise, Arsenal may not be able to complete all the incoming business that they’re looking to enact.

Kepa Arrizabalaga

Kepa Arrizabalaga arrived at Arsenal as something of a coveted back-up last summer. The feeling at London Colney and amongst the North London club’s fanbase was that they’d secured as good a deputy goalkeeper as they could reasonably expect.

However, since his Carabao Cup final horror show, the Spanish shot-stopper has seemingly lost confidence and has subsequently looked unconvincing every time he’s been granted an opportunity. While this might not prove to be an issue, alarm bells would ring if David Raya were to sustain an injury at any point.

For this reason, the Gunners must upgrade if they can. Kepa’s £5 million release clause has reportedly expired, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if a club on the continent came in with an appealing offer late in the window, given his experience and reputation in the game.

Fabio Vieira

Arsenal’s forgotten man is still expected to leave North London before the window closes, despite his prominence in pre-season. Fabio Vieira enjoyed a relatively productive loan spell at Hamburg last term, netting seven goals and providing five assists in the Bundesliga — and the word on the ground is that the German club want to sign the playmaker permanently.

However, it’s understood that Hamburg are waiting until late in the window to pounce, believing they can land the player for a minimal fee given they know Arsenal are desperate to sell.

Vieira’s time at the Emirates has been somewhat disastrous, scoring just two Premier League goals since his £34 million switch in 2022.

Reiss Nelson

Arsenal made a huge mistake when they offered Reiss Nelson a new four-year deal worth £100,000-a-week back in the summer of 2023. The winger was riding high after scoring a famous late winner against Bournemouth at the Emirates, and this goal alone seemingly secured him this lucrative contract.

Since signing this deal, Nelson has started just one Premier League game and endured two injury-ridden loan spells in West London. This fitness record, combined with his hefty wages, has made it extremely difficult for the Gunners to move the player on permanently.

However, the end might finally be near. West Ham are said to be closing in on the signing of Nelson, with the Championship club expected to pay Arsenal a measly £3 million for the 26-year-old’s services.

Gabriel Martinelli

While the aforementioned players aren’t likely to generate a fortune for the Gunners, Gabriel Martinelli might break the North London club’s record departure fee this summer.

The Brazilian’s future is currently in the balance, but Arsenal ought to cash in while the player’s stock is still relatively high. Tzolis has replaced Leandro Trossard in Martinelli’s area of the pitch, but Berta is still expected to add another player in this department, and this would ultimately render the former Ituano man surplus to requirements.

He has one year left on his deal, and even though there’s an option for an additional year in his contract, this is the right time for the Gunners to sell. Galatasaray have made a bid worth £38 million for Martinelli, and it’s understood that Arsenal are yet to make a decision regarding this offer.

If this deal were to go through, he’d become the Gunners’ most expensive sale, eclipsing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s £32.5 million switch to Liverpool back in 2017.

Gabriel Jesus

Another Arsenal player desperately in need of a new home is Gabriel Jesus. The five-time Premier League winner transformed Mikel Arteta’s team when he arrived from Manchester City in 2022, but persistent injury issues have derailed his career in North London since.

Now third in the striker pecking order at the Emirates and rapidly declining from a physical standpoint, the Brazilian needs to move on in the next few weeks.

The problem Arsenal have is that, like Martinelli and Nelson, Jesus is on astronomical wages. With this salary package and his fitness issues, teams on the continent are reluctant to pay a significant fee for the number nine.

Arsenal reportedly want £17million for Jesus, who is a target for clubs in Italy, but this may be the upper end of what they can reasonably expect to garner from the player’s prospective sale.

Viktor Gyokeres

One of the most divisive players in Arteta’s ranks at the moment, Viktor Gyokeres could emerge as a surprise departure before the window is up. While he ended Arsenal’s title-winning season as the club’s top goalscorer, netting 21 times across all competitions, there are debates around his overall contribution to the team and his ability to perform against the very best.

Of his 14 Premier League goals last season, only three came against sides in the top half. Two of these three were a brace against Sunderland at home, and the other was a penalty against Bournemouth. When broken down like this, alongside some of the concerning underlying numbers in the table below, there is a reasonable argument for Arsenal to cash in on the Swede if there is genuine interest from top clubs in Europe.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Osimhen this week, while the likes of Julian Alvarez and Junior Kroupi continue to pop up in conversations around the Gunners. Clearly, the Gunners aren’t averse to upgrading on Gyokeres this summer.
