2027 presidency: I have no agreement with Tinubu – Gov Adeleke counters Keyamo

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has refuted claims that he reached any agreement with President Bola Tinubu regarding his endorsement of the President for a second term in 2027.

Adeleke clarified that his support for Tinubu stems from the fact that the President is a Yoruba man from the South-West, adding that he aims to encourage him to continue with his developmental initiatives in the region.

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, a former political adviser to President Bola Tinubu, has insisted that the All Progressives Congress, APC, defeat in Osun State is not a trade-off for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Adeleke won Saturday’s keenly contested governorship election after polling 511,067 votes.

Mr Demola Olarenwaju, Senior Political Assistant to the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has said the All Progressives Congress, APC, failed in its alleged attempt to rape democracy in Osun State.

Olarenwaju said the APC laid siege to Osun State like bandits two weeks before the governorship election.

2027: ‎Ganduje’s son dumps NDC after three months

Abdulaziz Ganduje, the eldest son of former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to the party after three months in the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.

APC officials and members formally received Abdullahi back on Sunday at the Ganduje Ward office in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state, where he re-collected his membership card.
