Man Utd Making Phone Calls to Sign Sandro Tonali

Published

Manchester United are interested in signing Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali this summer, journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed.

The Old Trafford side are making phone calls to be informed on the Italy international’s situation as they continue work towards signing a new midfielder after the season.

Newcastle have no intention of letting Tonali, who is under contract until June 2029, leave and could demand a significant fee for the 25-year-old once the market reopens.

The Magpies received a British-record £125m for star striker Alexander Isak last summer, who joined Liverpool.

Romano, speaking on his official channel, revealed that both Manchester United and Manchester City have made initial calls regarding Tonali ahead of the summer:

“What I can tell you guys on Sandro Tonali is quite clear. […] Two clubs from the Premier League have called for Sandro Tonali to be informed of the situation.

“Manchester City and Manchester United are both following the situation on Tonali. So there is a lot of interest. From Arsenal, from Man City and from Man United.

“Then, in terms of admiration, in terms of interest, there is also Juventus. It’s been almost one year and a half that Juventus have been trying to find a solution to sign Sandro Tonali, but it’s at the moment very, very complicated for Juventus financially. It looks like a very difficult, unlikely deal.”

“And so for Tonali now, genuine interest from other Premier League clubs. Again, we know how complicated it is to negotiate with Newcastle. It’s still early stages with conversations, with May United, with Manchester City.”

Tonali was briefly linked with a Newcastle exit late in the winter transfer window, as Arsenal were claimed to be eyeing a surprise swoop for the ‘superstar’ Italian.

The £100m-rated midfielder initially signed a five-year deal when he joined Newcastle from AC Milan in a £55m deal in 2023.

Tonali signed a new one-year contract with Newcastle during his betting ban, with the club holding an option to trigger an additional 12-month extension to 2030.

Man Utd Could Sign Two Midfielders

Manchester United are anticipating another busy summer transfer window as they are eyeing a potentially significant overhaul in midfield.

Casemiro’s departure at the end of his contract will require United to bring in a replacement, with the likes of Elliot Anderson and Carlos Baleba among the shortlist.

Manuel Ugarte’s future has also been the subject of speculation in recent weeks – the Uruguayan has struggled for regular opportunities this season and has attracted interest from Italian clubs.

Two midfield exits would likely force United onto the market for two reinforcements, considering a deeper squad will be needed next season if the club qualify for continental competition.

Liverpool Really Determined to Sign Adam Wharton After Yan Diomande

Liverpool are really determined to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton this summer as they continue to work on a deal for Yan Diomande, according to Mateo Moretto.

12 months ago, after winning the Premier League title in Arne Slot’s first season in charge, before spending more than £400m in the 2025 summer transfer window, it was hard to envisage what happened to Liverpool during the 2025-26 campaign.

A poor Premier League title defence saw them finish 25 points adrift of champions Arsenal, and it eventually led to the sacking of Slot following end-of-season discussions over performance and the future.

After leading Bournemouth to sixth place and Europa League football, Andoni Iraola is the chosen one for FSG as they look for a more successful 2026-27 campaign.

Liverpool chiefs will know that they need to back the Spaniard in the transfer market, with the notable exits of Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate and Mohamed Salah already confirmed.

One of the 43-year-old’s main priorities will be to strengthen a frontline that is likely to be without Hugo Ekitike until 2027 because of injury, and finding the right long-term successor for Salah.

Liverpool have identified Diomande to do that, but they are looking at other positions too.

According to Moretto, speaking on Radio Marca, Liverpool are determined to sign Wharton from Palace this summer.

GIVEMESPORT sources revealed earlier this week that the Reds have a big appreciation for the England international, who missed out on a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the World Cup.

Tottenham Receive £30m Bid For Teenage Defender

Brighton have launched a £30million bid to sign highly-rated defender Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham Hotspur, according to David Ornstein.

Vuskovic’s future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has come to the fore this summer after a highly successful spell on loan in the Bundesliga with Hamburg, where he was named the league’s young player of the season.

The teenager will return to north London this summer, after representing Croatia at the 2026 World Cup, and will have talks over his future, with Spurs reportedly keen to offer him a new contract, with the possibility of going back out on loan again.

A number of clubs have shown an interest in Vuskovic

Luka Vuskovic

There have been reports that Vuskovic could be sold this summer, something football.london Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold thinks would be “absolutely insane” given the high ceiling the Croatian has.

However, a number of other clubs are circling for the 19-year-old, with Brighton the first to make their move.

Vusovic scored six goals and laid on one assist in the Bundesliga this season – the highest-scoring defender in the league and garnered huge praise despite being part of the backline that struggled against relegation.

Vuskovic has made no secret of his desire to play alongside his brother Mario at Hamburg, with the older sibling currently serving a doping suspension.

But now, the Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that the “Croatia defender favours #BHAFC as best step for development and mutual trust with [Fabian] Hurzeler”.

Tottenham beat off competition from the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool when they secured a deal to sign Vuskovic from Hajduk Split in 2023 at the age of just 16. He would not arrive at the club until 2025, and has yet to make a senior appearance in the Lilywhite shirt.

The irony of Brighton making a £30million move to sign Vuskovic is that Spurs have already been in talks with Brighton over a transfer – to sign one of the Seagull’s defenders.

Tottenham have seen two bids rejected by the south coast club for their centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke. Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi wants to reunite with the player who was described by Lewis Dunk as showing the “greatest improvement under a manager” in north London.

Van Hecke only has one year left on his contract at the Amex Stadium, but Brighton are holding out for close to £70million to sell the 26-year-old, who is also on duty with the Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup.

Lewis Hamilton ‘Ignited Storm’ in Paddock With One Comment After Monaco GP

Published

By

Chaos in the Monaco paddock ensued after a Lewis Hamilton comment, which proved to be the first time many teams heard about it.

Following the Monaco Grand Prix, the first ADUO is on the horizon. ADUO is Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities for manufacturers and teams. This allows the teams further upgrades for 2026 and 2027, depending on how far down the power engines are from the benchmark.

From the FIA’s findings, they’ve declared that Red Bull has the fastest engine and, therefore, won’t receive the additional help. The news came as a surprise to many, as they’ve had their own problems to contend with this season, though, it is important to note that only the internal combustion engine is taken into account for ADUO.

Red Bull

Mercedes have so far been the team to beat this season. They have won every Grand Prix, while leading both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships. Following the opening race of the season, George Russell also gave his glowing verdict on the package.

“Very nice, very nice. I like this car, I like this engine,” he said.

Despite this, they are deemed to be 2% behind Red Bull in terms of engines and will, as a result, be granted an additional upgrade for 2026 and 2027.

Lewis Hamilton’s Reveal Stunned ‘Several’ Teams

When discussing the situation on The Race F1 Podcast, journalist Scott Mitchell-Malm noted that many teams only learned the outcome through Hamilton’s interview.

“What was quite funny, to be completely honest, is several teams only found out about the ADUO outcome because Lewis Hamilton had said it in the press conference,” he said.

The team’s ’embarrassing’ start to the season has caused a serious rift among staff…

“And we then stood that up with our sources and ran a story on Sunday evening, because it was only the manufacturers that got informed about what the FIA was doing on the Sunday. The teams didn’t, because the teams aren’t manufacturers, so why would they get that initial assessment?

“So I know there were people in teams that were discovering it on Sunday evening in Monaco, and that’s why it was such a surprise to people, because they hadn’t had that information in advance, and when they got it, they were like, ‘Well, how have they come to this solution?’

“So it is quite messy, and I am very curious to see what the fallout is politically, what we see when it’s finally communicated and then in the coming days, maybe even weeks and months, as people try to argue it or work it out. Because it’s not set in stone, like this is the only judgment now that happens over the rest of the year, it’s quite curious, quite curious situation overall.”

Alongside many teams suddenly hearing the news, Red Bull were also surprised by the decision, as not every component was assessed.

It’s likely to hurt the team from Milton Keynes as they won’t benefit from the upgrades. The kings of the Ground Effect era are already struggling to come to grips with the new regulations; they remain fourth in the Constructors’ Championship with just 72 points.

Lewis Hamilton’s Awkward Response to Kimi Antonelli Trolling Kim Kardashian With Towel Video

Mercedes poked fun at Kim Kardashian for stealing Kimi Antonelli’s towel after the Monaco Grand Prix, and Lewis Hamilton has now reacted.

When reacting to the news, Max Verstappen admitted he was surprised and that they are looking into the situation. He said: “I think we can be proud of the job we have done, but it never felt like we were, let’s say, the best. That’s why we were surprised and that’s why I think we’re discussing with the FIA to understand what happened there.”

As the FIA does not allow a formal challenge, Red Bull won’t be able to protest too hard. Instead, looking to understand the decision seems the more likely plan of action.
