Newcastle Ready to Gazump Liverpool to Sign Lamine Camara
Newcastle United are ready to gazump Liverpool in their attempts to sign Monaco star Lamine Camara, according to TEAMtalk.
The Magpies have had a disappointing season and are set to miss out on European football for next season, but Eddie Howe is already planning to rebuild his squad as a result of the struggles, with midfield identified as a key area for the upcoming transfer window.
But with major question marks over the future of Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali, Newcastle are ready to go big to ensure they get their first-choice targets through the door ahead of the competition.
Newcastle Want Lamine Camara
Camara, who has been described as a ‘beast’, has emerged as one of the top young central midfielders in Europe in recent times after his performances for Monaco.
The highly-rated Senegal international has started to attract the interest of some of Europe’s top clubs, but Newcastle are understood to be ready to enter the race in strong fashion to push their way to the front of the queue, as they look to bolster Howe’s squad for next season.
Monaco are well aware of the interest, and have put a £39m price tag on his head ahead of the upcoming window, and Newcastle are understood to be willing to pay that to bring him in, as they believe he can shine as both a number six and a number eight.
Newcastle scouts have made regular trips to Monaco to watch the 22-year-old, and they are now showing the strongest interest in acquiring his services during the transfer window. While a deal isn’t completely linked to the future of Sandro Tonali, the club are aware he could be on the move this summer and Camara would be an excellent replacement.
The player is ‘highly likely’ to move to the Premier League this summer, viewing it as a great destination to continue his development, and Newcastle are ready to go all-out to get a deal done.
Camara Would Be Ideal Newcastle Signing
Newcastle have made a habit of bringing in top young talents from around Europe and helping them to develop into first-team stars who are key to the club’s future, and Camara would fit that bill.
The likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Tonali, Alexander Isak, and Sven Botman have all benefited from moves to St James’ Park in recent years, but the arrival of Camara ahead of competition from the likes of Liverpool would be huge.
Liverpool are known to be keen on the Senegal star, but he may not be playing a first-choice option at Anfield, which would likely go in favour of the Magpies if it came down to a straight choice between the two clubs. Newcastle know how to get a deal done, and this is one to watch in the coming weeks.

Man Utd Chiefs Ready to Finance Move to Sign ‘Best Footballer in the World’
Benjamin Sesko’s promising start at Manchester United hasn’t ruled the club out of pursuing a deal for one of the best strikers on the planet.
The Slovenian frontman joined United from RB Leipzig last summer in a £74 million deal and finished his debut season strongly. He found the back of the net 12 times in 32 games after putting a difficult first few months behind him.
Michael Carrick’s arrival in January helped Sesko turn a corner and live up to expectations. His manager insisted that he is a big part of his plans and, at just 23 years old, can be expected to lead the line for years to come.
Man Utd Ready To Swoop if Kane is Available
United finished third in the Premier League last season, qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. There has been a shift in spending and in the profile of targeted players since INEOS took over the club’s sporting operations.
One superstar who remains on the Red Devils’ wishlist is Harry Kane. TEAMtalk reports that the club are prepared to finance a move for the England captain if the opportunity arises.
Kane has entered the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga giants are confident of agreeing a new deal. There is interest in the 32-year-old around the globe, with Barcelona having made enquiries and Real Madrid requesting to be kept informed of the situation.
A return to Tottenham Hotspur is another possibility amid the North Londoners’ ambitious summer transfer window. The report also notes that clubs in the Saudi Pro League are keen on him, but he isn’t interested in heading to the Middle East at this stage of his career.
An eventual MLS move is mentioned, but that is likely to be in the long term rather than something Kane considers now. If he is to leave Bayern, a move to a European club seems most likely.

Kane Nothing More Than a Dream For Man Utd
United’s interest in Kane is partly due to co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s continued admiration for ‘the best footballer in the world.’ The British billionaire doesn’t often influence transfer decisions at Old Trafford but could step in if there is a chance to sign England’s all-time top scorer.
Kane would be an unbelievable signing for Carrick and a world-class striker who would help fire the Red Devils back into title contention. But it appears he’s loving life in Munich and will probably extend his stay with the Bavarians.
United ultimately missed their opportunity to land the Ballon d’Or contender back in 2023 when he left Spurs for Bayern. It would take a shocking turn of events for them to seal his signature this summer.

Tottenham Hold Talks to Re-Sign Bayern Munich Striker Harry Kane
Tottenham have held talks to sign one of the best players in the world in a sensational move for the club.
It’s already been a successful summer transfer window for Tottenham, who have made a host of new additions.
Spurs have prioritised strengthening their defence and midfield while also bringing in a back-up goalkeeper.
Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Martin Dubravka, Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi, and Andy Robertson have all made the move to Tottenham this summer.
Spurs don’t appear to be finished there, though, as they look to switch their attention to strengthening in the forward positions.
Signing a striker and a winger could be their next priorities, but they’ll be happy with the business they’ve already done in early July.
Tottenham hold striker transfer talks
According to a report from Team Talk, Tottenham are ready to sign Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane in the summer transfer window, looking to bring him back to Hotspur Way in a sensational move.
Spurs have held talks over a possible move for the England international, and they are well informed on developments surrounding their former player.
Tottenham could be in a position to bring Kane back to the club, potentially next summer, with intermediaries actively sounding out a potential next move for the striker.
Bayern Munich are in talks to extend his contract, which is no surprise given how crucial he’s been since his move to the Bundesliga.
Despite that, clubs are lurking in the background, including Tottenham.

Kane still one of the best in the world
Kane is proving at the World Cup that he’s still one of the best players in the world.
He certainly shouldn’t have had anything to prove, though, if his 25-26 season was anything to go off.
The English striker scored 64 goals in 56 appearances for Bayern Munich last season in all competitions, meaning he now has 146 goals in 147 games for them.
At the age of 32, he remains one of the best, with journalist Dom Smith describing him as ‘the best footballer in the world‘.
Convincing Bayern Munich to part ways with the forward is going to be a difficult task, but Tottenham will certainly try if it’s possible.

Andrea Pirlo Named Wayne Rooney as His Favourite English Player
Legend of the 2000s, Andrea Pirlo was one of football’s finest midfielders. After lifting the World Cup with Italy in 2006, winning two Champions League trophies with AC Milan and collecting six Serie A titles, he cemented his reputation as one of the greatest modern midfielders.
Renowned for his calmness under pressure, Pirlo built his legacy through a cultured playing style and an exceptional passing range. Supporters in England may remember him most for his unforgettable Panenka at Euro 2012, which beat Joe Hart and helped eliminate the Three Lions.
Despite delivering one of England’s most painful tournament moments, Pirlo still had enormous admiration for several opponents. In fact, he once labelled one English star a ‘complete footballer’.
Andrea Pirlo Respected Man United Legend Wayne Rooney
As quoted by the Daily Mail in 2012, Pirlo was asked to name his ‘favourite English player’. His answer was straightforward:
“Wayne Rooney. He’s the complete footballer.”
The Manchester United great played all 120 minutes against Pirlo in the Euro 2012 quarter-final. Rooney also converted England’s second penalty to briefly give the Three Lions the advantage before Pirlo responded with his famous chipped effort.
The audacity of that Panenka appeared to swing the momentum, with Ashley Young and Ashley Cole both missing England’s next two penalties.
Although Rooney never progressed beyond the quarter-finals with England at a major tournament, he enjoyed an outstanding club career.
His greatest successes came at Manchester United, where he became the Red Devils’ all-time top goalscorer, while also winning the Champions League and five Premier League crowns. Combining goals, creativity, relentless work rate and vision, Rooney is widely regarded as one of the ‘most complete’ footballers the game has produced.
Pirlo Nearly Joined Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea
While Pirlo clearly admired Rooney, he almost found himself lining up for one of Manchester United’s fiercest rivals. The Italian came close to joining Chelsea in 2009 after former AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti was appointed manager. Reflecting on the move in the same interview, Pirlo said:
“Actually, Milan wouldn’t let me go. I have a very strong connection with Ancelotti so I was in touch with him when he went to Chelsea and I’m still in touch with him now he’s at Paris Saint-Germain.
“I had already started negotiating with the people at Chelsea but then finally Milan didn’t let me go. That’s why I stayed.
“Certainly it would have been a different experience that I’d have liked, especially when I was 30 years old. So why not? But unfortunately it didn’t happen.”
He added: “I really enjoy English football. There are many top-quality teams, and the intensity they play with makes it exciting to watch.
“I don’t think adapting to that style would have been difficult because throughout my career I’ve played alongside many different types of players.”
One can only imagine how impressive Pirlo would have been as a Premier League midfielder.
