Championship duo Wrexham and Hull City are both interested in signing Dunkerque midfielder Enzo Bardeli.
The 25-year-old was named in the Ligue 2 Team of the Season following an impressive campaign in which he made 33 appearances, scoring six goals and providing nine assists.
Spanish duo Getafe and Levante are also following him closely, while a move from France side Saint-Etienne is not to be discounted either.
Premier League side Sunderland have been linked in the past, but are not currently an active suitor.
Bardeli Exploring New Challenge Away from Dunkerque
Bardeli, who began his career at Lille, is a free agent this summer and has decided he will not extend at Dunkerque.
He has been at the Ligue 2 club since 2021 and is currently exploring a new challenge.
Bardeli is a versatile midfielder who is predominantly known as a right-footed attacking midfielder, but he also has experience playing in central midfield.
Wrexham Want Creative Playmaker This Summer
Hull City are still assessing transfer targets for the summer, which will be impacted by whether they gain promotion to the Premier League.
The Tigers are set to face Southampton at Wembley on May 23 in the Championship Playoff Final, after the two sides advanced following semi-final victories against Millwall and Middlesbrough respectively.
Wrexham are seeking a creative playmaker and a further source of goals as they look to make a push for promotion next season, having ended the 2025-26 campaign in seventh position, two points adrift of Hull in sixth.
Manchester United are said to be interested in another Real Madrid star after trying to sign Aurelien Tchouameni this summer. The Red Devils have already snapped up a couple of midfielders this summer, with Youri Tielemans joining Andrey Santos to bolster Michael Carrick’s midfield.
But while attention may turn to strengthening other positions for the time being, Carrick knows he has not yet replaced Casemiro in the holding midfield role, with the Brazilian having left in the summer, leaving a sizable gap.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, United are said to have interest in Tchouameni’s teammate Eduardo Camavinga. He said on his YouTube show: “Another option, in this case only mentioned internally in the meetings, has been also Eduardo Camavinga. So Camavinga, Manu Koné, that kind of player, defensive midfielder who can run, who can help with intensity, also physical. So this is what Man United are looking for. On Camavinga, Eduardo Camavinga doesn’t want to leave Real Madrid this summer.
“Camavinga wants to stay. Camavinga wants to continue the club. Camavinga wants to be an important part of Real Madrid project next season. So the Camavinga story could only be possible if the player decides to go. But at the moment, Camavinga wants to stay at Real Madrid, so this is why the deal for Camavinga is complicated.”
It was reported in Spain earlier this summer that if Real Madrid bring in a big name to add to their midfield, which looks likely, they will be willing to expend Camavinga, with Tchouameni strictly not for sale. But the decision is going to the player’s, and keep in mind the Frenchman can also play at full-back, so he is rarely in a position where he is not going to find minutes somewhere in the team.
Camavinga’s physicality is what Man Utd will like
Speaking back in 2021, even Carlo Ancelotti, who signed Camavinga, was surprised by the player’s physicality. He said: “Yes it has surprised me a bit, that’s the truth. We all know the quality he has, physical and technical. Then on the pitch he’s shown his personality, we didn’t know about that. What happens in games doesn’t worry him, he’s confident.”
Ancelotti added after a win over Athlertic Club in 2023: “I want to highlight Camavinga’s performance tonight, as he was spectacular,”
Camavinga is still only 23 years of age, which is another factor United will like, and he has incredible experience fro a player of that age, already winning two Champions League titles.
Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a move to hijack Sporting forward Trincao’s move to Al Ahli in the coming days, according to Correio da Manha.
Spurs have had a busy summer window with six signings arriving in north London, with Roberto De Zerbi bringing in Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Martin Dubravka, Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes, and Sandro Tonali.
Now Tottenham are keen to bolster their forward line, with a number of names being linked. But a new name has emerged as a target, and a deal could be done quickly if they get their way.
Tottenham Eyeing Trincao Hijack
Trincao, who has been compared to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, is set to leave Sporting CP this summer after four years back in Portugal, where he has managed 47 goals in 208 appearances for the Lisbon side.
Tottenham are named in the article as having a strong interest in the winger, with De Zerbi viewing him as someone who can play out wide or as a number ten.
Trincao is reluctant to move to the SPL while there is a possibility of a move to the Premier League, which is his preference, and the door is said to be ajar for Spurs to make a late play for his signature.
Sporting are willing to accept any offer that matches the €45m (£38m) they have already accepted, but Spurs will have to move quickly to get a deal done, with a final decision expected in the coming days.

Trincao a Bargain at £38m
Spurs need a winger or two, and while a number of names have been linked with a move, there is nothing advanced at this stage.
Trincao is a player who can play on either flank or centrally, and is a reliable goalscorer if given the chance. He has played in the Premier League before with Wolves, although he was much younger in his career, and having that experience could be invaluable to making an instant impact.
It won’t be easy to get a deal done, but the door is open and the deal is on the table for them to get done if they want it. At £38m, it would be a bargain, and would also mean there is less pressure on other deals to get done quickly.
England head coach Thomas Tuchel has reacted to FIFA accepting Argentina’s ‘special request’ before Wednesday’s 2026 World Cup semi-final.
England and Argentina renew their rivalry at the Atlanta Stadium in a mouth-watering fixture that sees eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi, 39, face the Three Lions for the first time in his 22-year professional career.
The European and South American nations haven’t played each other since an international friendly in November 2005. It’s also the first time they’ve met at a major tournament since the 2002 World Cup finals.
Rather than wear their traditional blue and white striped shirt, La Albiceleste reportedly asked if they could play in their navy blue jersey – worn just once so far at this summer’s tournament, in a 3-1 win over Jordan in the group stages.
Argentina also wore navy blue when they knocked England out of the 1986 and 1998 World Cups in Mexico and France, respectively, leading to suspicions that superstition was behind the move.
FIFA appeared to accept Argentina’s request, with their Match Colour Designation document confirming Lionel Scaloni’s side will wear navy blue shirts with black shorts and socks as ’Team B’.

England, on the other hand, will wear their traditional white kit. The last time they faced Argentina in a competitive match, in the 2002 World Cup group stages, David Beckham scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot while wearing red.

Tuchel Responds to Argentina Playing in ‘Lucky’ Navy Blue Kit
REUTERS/Paul Childs
Asked about claims that Argentina are wearing their ‘lucky’ blue shirt against England, Tuchel said in his pre-match press conference: “You’re talking to the one person who was not aware until tomorrow’s warm-up in which colour we play. Argentina plays in blue? And we play in white? And that is because Argentina is superstitious, or it’s a lucky shirt, or they chose this?
“I would have done the same if there was any superstition combined with it. So credit to them. I was not aware of that.”
The German tactician prompted laughter by adding: “I have my superstitious routines. I will not tell you because another superstition is that if I tell you, it will not work.”
He then said: “We have routines that keep you grounded and calm through the day, and that will not change. We have, of course, also our lucky charms, and these things are just normal in high-level sport.”

Argentina boss Scaloni was then asked the same question in his pre-match press conference. The 48-year-old, who is looking to become only the second-ever manager to win back-to-back World Cup trophies after Italy’s Vittorio Pozzo achieved the feat in the 1930s, played down suggestions that he was behind the move.
“Well, I didn’t ask for the blue one. I don’t know who did, but perhaps it’s tradition,” he said, per Reuters. “I really don’t know. I can’t speak to that. And if Thomas had no issue, well, then you can say the same for myself.”
