Chelsea Star Has Already Asked To Leave Before Xabi Alonso Arrives

Published

on

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has asked to leave Chelsea as he seeks more game time, GIVEMESPORT understands.

Jorgensen was number two behind Robert Sanchez this season and is set to fall further down the pecking order next campaign with the highly-regarded Mike Penders returning from his loan spell at Strasbourg.

Chelsea are open to a sale for the 24-year-old, who joined from Villarreal for just over £20million in the 2024 summer transfer window. He signed a seven-year contract upon arrival at Stamford Bridge and said: “This move is a dream come true. I am very excited to have signed for Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world. I can’t wait to get to know everyone and to start playing with all my new teammates.”

Jorgensen made a big mistake in the Champions League

Since then, Jorgensen has made 34 appearances in two seasons at Chelsea, but only 11 of them have come in the Premier League.

The Dane made a costly error away at Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League after being given a surprise start at the Parc des Princes by then head coach Liam Rosenior.

Rosenior stuck up for his goalkeeper on the night, saying: “Players make mistakes. Filip’s not the first one and that’s part of football. Credit to him, he held his hands up in the dressing room. I make mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes.

“Sometimes they’re more costly. This is one of those moments. What we have to do for Rob [Sánchez] and for Filip and for all of the players is look after each other.”

Chelsea have not made a decision on selling Jorgensen

Seeing his pathway to a starting spot blocked by Sanchez, the desire to leave is primarily being driven by the player, and was directly communicated to Chelsea’s head of goalkeeping, Ben Roberts.

Jorgensen had also asked for a transfer in January as he hoped to lock down Denmark’s number one spot with a view to playing at the 2026 World Cup. In the end, Denmark didn’t qualify.

Porto, Besiktas and Genoa are three clubs who held an interest in the winter. Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadsiah have also been credited with an interest, and have explored some high-profile goalkeepers. Yet GMS understands their priority is first to add a centre-back, winger and forward this summer.

Man Utd Eye Shock Transfer Move for Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister

Published

Manchester United are considering making a shock move to sign a midfielder from their North West rivals Liverpool.

It’s rare that you see players moving between Liverpool and Manchester United due to the rivalry they have in the North West. It is so rare that no player has transferred between the two sides directly since 1964.

Although Liverpool are rivals of Everton and Manchester United with Manchester City, the two still share a fierce rivalry between them.

Manchester United are in the market for reinforcements in the summer transfer window as they prepare for a season in the Champions League. Convincing Liverpool to part ways with a player certainly won’t be easy, however, so they might have to move on to other targets.

According to a report from the Daily Mirror, Manchester United are considering a ‘shock’ move to sign Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister in the summer transfer window.

The report does confirm that Manchester United understand that striking a deal with Liverpool is highly unlikely, so there are plenty of alternative targets.

Signing a midfielder is a huge priority for the Red Devils, and we could see a number of them arrive through the door.

The report claims that Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson is more likely to join Manchester City than United, meaning Michael Carrick’s side have conceded defeat.

Despite that, United do have a number of targets in the pipeline to strengthen in the middle of the park.

Man Utd Have Alternative Midfield Options

With a move for Mac Allister, described as ‘world-class’, appearing to be fairly unlikely due to their relationship with Liverpool, United do have a list of alternative targets.

It seems the Red Devils are looking to get a move on to strengthen their midfield options, with reports claiming they’ve now reached a full agreement with Atalanta to sign Brazilian midfielder Ederson.

Separate reports have claimed that United could also be closing in on the signing of Newcastle star Sandro Tonali, with the Italian midfielder said to be on his way to sealing a move to Old Trafford.

United certainly haven’t been messing around since the end of the season, quickly looking to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window.

Jarrod Bowen Next Club Odds; 9 Favourites to Sign West Ham Star

Published

West Ham United’s relegation to the Championship has been confirmed, and that has sparked major question marks over the future of captain Jarrod Bowen.

The England international has been a key member of the Hammers squad since signing from Hull City in 2020, scoring an excellent 85 goals in 280 appearances for the club, including the winning goal in the Conference League final just two years ago.

But this season, despite his 11 goals and 12 assists in all competitions, he couldn’t stop the club from falling out of the Premier League for the first time since the 2011/12 season, and now an exit away from the London Stadium looks inevitable for the 29-year-old.

Several clubs are likely to show an interest in the winger in the upcoming summer transfer window, and GIVEMESPORT has taken a look at the clubs considered to be favourites to get a deal done, according to SkyBet.

Surprise Team Among Favourites to Sign Jarrod Bowen

West Ham players, including Jarrod Bowen

While Bowen is attracting plenty of interest heading into the summer window, the race for where he ends up when the market slams shut on September 1st remains wide open.

So much so in fact, that according to SkyBet, Bowen to stay at West Ham for next season is actually priced as the 13/10 favourite currently. The Hammers will be desperate to keep their skipper in order to fire their way straight back to the Premier League at the first attempt, but it seems unlikely.

If Bowen is to join a new club this summer, the bookmakers feel that Liverpool are the most likely destination, with the Reds priced at 4/1. Arne Slot is looking for a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who will leave this summer, and Bowen can slot into that role as a left-footed right-winger seamlessly.

Aston Villa are also keen to upgrade their forward options, and after reaching the Champions League they are priced at 9/2. Both Manchester United and Newcastle are also reportedly looking for new wingers, and as a result they are both priced at 6/1 to bring Bowen in.

Worryingly for West Ham fans, Tottenham Hotspur are currently priced at 17/2 after avoiding relegation on the final day, and after signing Mohammed Kudus last summer, a move certainly cannot be ruled out anymore.

Everton are also mentioned as a potential destination, with former manager David Moyes priced at 10/1 for a reunion with the man he signed from Hull for West Ham six-and-a-half years ago. Chelsea are said to be looking for more experienced options and are priced at 11/1, while Brighton could see him as an opportunity signing and are also priced at 11/1.

Should Bowen fancy a new challenge entirely and a move abroad, La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are big outsiders at 18/1 to seal a deal for Diego Simeone.

Danny Dyer Unlikely to Get Bowen Wish

Danny Dyer

Bowen leaving West Ham would undoubtedly be a huge blow to fans of the club, but it would also be heartbreak for celebrity fan Danny Dyer, who also happens to be Bowen’s father-in-law, and the grandad to his twins.

Speaking in the past about Bowen potentially leaving the east London club in the future, Dyer admitted that there are only two clubs that he’d ‘allow’ him to leave the London Stadium for.

When asked about a potential move to Arsenal, Dyer simply replied, “He’s never going to do that. Why would he? What’s in it for him?”

He was then quizzed about a move to Chelsea, where he once again asked, “Why would he go there?”

But when asked about Real Madrid, he admitted he would “for sure” accept that, while also revealing that he wouldn’t be against a move to Man City either.

“Listen, it’s his career. [Man] City? I wouldn’t mind that, I’d suffer that,” he said.

“I’m not going to lie, it would hurt, but he’s a grown man and he makes his own decisions. It would obviously hurt, but of course I would be over the moon for him.”

Tottenham have reached a verbal agreement to secure a new signing amid reports that a hijack could take place, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs don’t appear to have stopped working since the Premier League season finished, and it’s no surprise after such a disappointing campaign.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side managed to avoid relegation from the top flight, but work has now begun on strengthening the squad.

Tottenham won’t want to be celebrating their survival for too long, if at all, as there is no doubt they need to bring in reinforcements desperately.

It wasn’t just the 2025-26 season that was a disappointment. The previous year, they also finished 17th in the Premier League, so there are certainly underlying issues with the North London club.
