Fenerbahce Chief Jets Into UK for Man Utd Talks to Sign Marcus Rashford

Published

on

Manchester United have had a busy summer transfer window so far, and while they are still looking for more additions, attention has now turned towards potential exits.

The Red Devils have completed deals to sign Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow so far, while they have also backed out of a deal to sign Ederson after initially agreeing a deal with Atalanta before a knee issue showed up during his medical.

Michael Carrick is keen for more signings to strengthen the side ahead of the team’s return to the Champions League, but the club have now been approached about a deal that would see a first-team star depart.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, via Sport Witness, Fenerbahce are eyeing a swift move to sign Man Utd star Marcus Rashford.

Rashford, who has been described as ‘unbelievable’, enjoyed a successful loan spell at Barcelona in 2025/26, but the Spanish giants opted against signing him permanently, and have instead sealed moves for Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi to replace him.

The England international is now scheduled to return to Old Trafford for pre-season after his participation at the World Cup is complete, with talks with Carrick planned to reintegrate him into the squad.

However, Fenerbahce are hoping to swoop in and hand him an opportunity to leave the club this summer, and reunite him with former United teammate Mason Greenwood in their new-look attack.

Club transfer supremo Oğuz Çetin is reported to have recently travelled from Marseille to Manchester to hold talks over a deal for the 28-year-old. Fenerbahce want to find an agreement with Man Utd, and if they can, they will then accelerate talks with Rashford over personal terms in an attempt to get a deal done as quickly as possible.

Rashford Has No Future at Man Utd

Rashford is one of the best talents to come out of the Man Utd academy in recent years, but it’s quite clear that he has no future at the club because the fallings out he has had over the last 18 months.

Many fans have turned on him entirely, while INEOS made it abundantly clear that they wanted to get his wages off the books. Talk of his return is simply to keep the club’s negotiating position strong, and it would only happen if a deal didn’t materialise.

With that said, Fenerbahce would be an odd move for a player who is at the peak of his powers and capable of contributing at the very highest level for several more years, and it would be a real coup if they were able to pull it off. For United, it’s simple – pay £40m and convince him to join, and he’s yours.

Man Utd Ready to Sign Crysencio Summerville in Bargain £30m Deal

Published

By

Manchester United are now eyeing a bargain £30m move to sign West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville this summer, although it hinges on one factor, according to the Guardian.

After a quiet start to the summer transfer window, Man United chiefs have sprung into action this week by completing three deals, while U-turning on the agreement they had to sign Brazil international Ederson from Atalanta.

The Red Devils decided after an issue with the midfielder’s medical that they would pull out of a deal, with the club securing the signatures of Chelsea’s Andrey Santos and Aston Villa’s Youri Tielemans for £50m and £35m respectively this week.

Karl Darlow has also moved to Old Trafford as the club’s second-choice goalkeeper, with Andre Onana already re-joining Trabzonspor on loan and Altay Bayindir expected to leave this summer.

United are still looking to bring in a third midfielder to join Santos and Tielemans after Manuel Ugarte suffered a serious knee injury at the 2026 World Cup with Uruguay, with the likes of French duo Manu Kone and Eduardo Camavinga, and Premier League pair Alex Scott and Carlos Baleba, among the names linked.

The Red Devils are also looking to add a left-sided attacker, according to GIVEMESPORT sources, should Marcus Rashford depart the club.

While United have been linked with players like Morgan Rogers, Rafael Leao and Bazoumana Toure this summer, it appears as though Summerville remains a preferred target for the wing.

GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs reported at the start of this month that United had opened club-to-club talks over a move for the Netherlands international, who announced himself on the global stage with some impressive performances, goals and assists at the World Cup.

The Guardian report that the Red Devils are ready to make a move for the £30m-rated forward if Rashford leaves, with the England international currently due to report for pre-season training at Carrington after Barcelona decided to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle instead.

West Ham are open to selling their ‘unstoppable’ forward following their relegation to the Championship, with United said to view him as the ideal fit for their needs.

Man United Keen to Offload Rashford

Marcus Rashford via Reuters

While United and Rashford are said to have called a truce ahead of pre-season training with the 28-year-old no closer to securing a move away from Old Trafford, Red Devils chiefs are keen to offload him either permanently or on loan before the September 1 transfer deadline, according to the same report.

Rashford still has two years remaining on his £17.5m-per-year contract, and United are keen to remove him from their wage bill like they did with Casemiro earlier in the summer.

Barcelona are likely to want to do another loan deal if they do decide to bring the Englishman back to the Camp Nou, while the likes of Tottenham Hotspur have been linked in the Premier League.

The suggestion is though that Rashford would prefer another move abroad if he is to leave United again this summer, but with interest currently low it would be no surprise to see him at least start the Premier League season in a red shirt.

Celtic Confident of Sealing Double Transfer Next Week

Published

Celtic are confident that they will be able to secure a double deal this week for Martin O’Neill to begin strengthening their squad, according to TEAMtalk.

The Scottish champions have so far made just one signing, bringing in forward Camilo Duran in a deal worth around £5m, but they are expecting a number of first-team stars to depart, and O’Neill is looking to bring several players in to help rebuild.

The Hoops suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat at the hands of Sporting CP in their opening pre-season friendly this week, which saw fans chant ‘sack the board’ from the stands, and that has kicked them into gear in an attempt to strengthen the squad as quickly as possible.

Celtic Confident of Double Deal

Martin O'Neill arrives at Tynecastle Park for Hearts vs Celtic

According to a report, Celtic have already held talks with both Utretcht and winger Adrian Blake about a deal to take him to Glasgow, while Egyptian midfielder Haissem Hassan is also someone they are working on bringing in.

The 20-year-old winger is into the final year of his contract with the Eredivisie club, and is valued at around £2.5m, which Celtic see as good value for a highly-rated forward. However, his contract situation means they will look to work a fee down, although there is confidence a deal can be completed.

In addition to Blake, Celtic are also working hard on a deal to bring in Egypt international Hassan following his performances at the World Cup this summer.

The midfielder is available this summer, and the Hoops have been in regular contact with his representatives as they look to persuade him to move to Glasgow rather than a club in the top five leagues, where he is understood to have interest.

Celtic are hopeful their ability to offer Champions League football will aid them in their pursuit of both players, and there is confidence both deals could be completed next week if everything goes to plan.

Celtic Need Big Rebuild

Celtic caretaker manager Martin O'Neill looks on during win vs Stuttgart

Celtic will count themselves lucky to have been crowned champions last season despite a poor campaign by their own standards, and they know they need to rebuild the squad to ensure that doesn’t happen again.

Players like Daizen Maeda, Benjamin Nygren and Arne Engels are all being targeted by clubs abroad, and replacing them will be a thankless task for those in charge of the Glasgow club.

But bringing in top talents and experienced options will help to bring back the balance, and O’Neill knows what it takes to build a title-winning side, so it’s a situation to watch closely in the coming days.

Donald Trump Facing Awkward World Cup Final Meeting With Spain

Donald Trump has never shied away from the limelight and is expected to bask in the attention that accompanies a World Cup final.

The President of the United States of America has been noticeably absent during the entire competition, having not attended a single game so far. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t made a mark on world football’s biggest stage.

He got involved on the USA’s behalf after Folarin Balogun’s controversial red card vs Bosnia & Herzegovina. That’s unlikely to be the end of Trump’s contributions, with the biggest game of the summer still to come.

The 80-year-old is expected to be present at MetLife Stadium on Sunday for the World Cup final. Spain qualified with a comfortable victory against the favourites, France.

However, it’s clear to see where Trump’s loyalties will likely lie for the huge clash. Matters away from the pitch have led to significant tension between the US and Spain in recent times, and the President hasn’t minced his words when discussing the European nation.

During a recent NATO meeting, he stated that he wanted to cut off all trade relations with Spain. He even went as far as calling the country ‘a wasted cause’.

“Spain is a wasted cause. We don’t want to do any trade business with Spain anymore, by the way. I’d like to cut it off. Spain is a terrible partner in NATO.

“They don’t participate. They don’t pay. I don’t want anything to do with Spain.”

Continuing his rant, the American leader labelled the nation ‘hopeless’ and said ‘we don’t want anything to do with them’.

He added: “Cut off all trade with Spain, please, including visits. We don’t want anything to do (with them). Watch them come running back… but we don’t have to trade with them.

“They’re hopeless, bad people because they have everybody else going and paying and working.”

Pedro Sanchez, Spain’s Prime Minister, actually claimed relations between the two countries were ‘very positive’. He also revealed a brief football-related conversation he had with Trump.

He explained (according to talkSPORT): “We talked about the World Cup… there was no tension whatsoever, on the contrary, it was all very friendly.”

Despite that comment, it would still be very interesting to see Trump hand Spain the World Cup if they win the final. Gianni Infantino already revealed that the President would be handing the trophy to the winners of the competition.
