Osun decides: Adeleke wins Osogbo LGA with 36,480 votes

The Accord Party governorship candidate and incumbent governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has secured the highest number of votes in Osogbo Local Government Area in the state’s governorship election held on Saturday, August 15.

The result was announced by the Osogbo Local Government Collation Officer, Dr Udom, at the state collation centre in Osogbo.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State has expressed optimism that it will defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections and form the next government in the state.

The ADC State Chairman, Dr Sani Muhammad Gumel, stated this while addressing journalists, saying the APC’s control of government would not stop the opposition party from winning the election.

Jigawa State Governor’s aide on New Media, Comrade Muhammad Garba, has criticised the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) over its poor performance in the just-concluded Osun State governorship election, where the party secured only 17,180 votes.

Garba stated this on Sunday in a post on his official Facebook page while reacting to the victory of the Accord Party’s candidate, Governor Ademola Adeleke, who was re-elected for a second term in office.
