2027: Atiku too old to contest election, he’s like Biden – Fayose
Former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose says the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is too old to contest an election.
Featuring in an interview on TVC’s Politics Tonight, Fayose likened Atiku to former US President Joe Biden.
He also said that Atiku’s running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, faces challenges in the South-South due to his lack of political influence.
“Atiku is now really old. He’s a good man, but time has caught up with him. Atiku contesting an election is like calling Biden to come and contest again.
“Let me say this again: President Bola Tinubu, Atiku and Peter Obi, this is their last chance of contesting an election. The three of them.
“In Rivers State, during this election, Amaechi will have very little support. Even the party is not together. Most of these ADC and Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, members are not on ground. Nobody is connected to those parties yet,” he said.

2027: Atiku, Peter Obi, Kwankwaso can’t make headway except miracle happens – Fayose
Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has disclosed that the presidential candidates of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, and the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, cannot make any headway in 2027 unless a miracle brings both of them together.
Fayose also disclosed that some parts of the North are angry that Rabiu Kwankwaso agreed to be Obi’s presidential running mate in 2027.
Featuring on TVC’s Politics Tonight, the former governor reaffirmed his stance that Atiku and Obi would lose the forthcoming presidential election.
He said: “Let me tell you another bad thing about going to NDC and Kwankwaso. In Kano, a lot of people are aggrieved that Kwankwaso is deputising Obi.
“In the presidential election, Obi has lost already; Atiku has lost already. Except there is a miracle of them coming together, there is no headway.
“Asiwaju won an election without INEC, without the police, without all the government’s strength. Is it now that you want to take the man out? You are fooling yourself.
“It’s too late for a united front because INEC has accredited everybody. Even if you say that you are not doing it again, you are on your own.
“Some idiots were stepping down one week before the Osun election. You are only fooling yourself; it’s late. You have put your feet in the water, so you are already wet.”

2027: Sowore blasts DSS for ‘belittling’ him at peace accord signing event
The 2027 African Action Congress, AAC, presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore has blasted the Department of State Services, DSS, for looking down on him at the Peace Accord signing event ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Taking to his verified X handle on Wednesday, Sowore lamented that it is typical of Nigeria’s security agencies to belittle someone once he is not surrounded by a convoy of expensive cars and heavily armed escorts.
The human rights activist said the culture of intimidation, class discrimination, and arbitrary treatment by Nigeria’s security agencies must end.
“I arrived at the National Peace Committee’s Peace Accord signing event, only to be blocked at the gate by the DSS operatives.
“One of them demanded to see my invitation letter, even though he later admitted that he knew I was a presidential candidate.
“While this was going on, another presidential candidate swept in with his long convoy and was ushered through without any of this harassment.
“Then came another condition: I would not be allowed in with my staff. After that, they said my camera crew would not be allowed in either.
“I refused to accept this discriminatory treatment. If this is supposed to be a peace accord involving presidential candidates, then every candidate must be treated with equal dignity and respect.
“Not according to the size of their convoy, the number of security vehicles around them, or how much privilege they display.
“I insisted on my rights and made it clear that I would not succumb to discriminatory conduct,” he tweeted.
