Buffalo Bills Fall after Brutal Loss to Miami Dolphins

Published

on

Week 11 of the 2025 season begins tonight, and the league’s hierarchy has experienced another shake-up following the results from last weekend. The New England Patriots picked up another impressive road victory to further cement themselves as AFC contenders.

Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills‘ debilitating weakness was once again exposed, raising doubts about whether Josh Allen and company can contend for a Super Bowl.

In the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles‘ new and improved defense stood out in their gritty 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers, while the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks eclipsed the 40-point mark for the second consecutive season.

Going into this slate of games, GIVEMESPORT has compiled a ranking of all 32 franchises, separating them into six categories: tankers, teams in no man’s land, teams that can sneak into the postseason, teams that can win one playoff game, dark horse contenders, and Super Bowl contenders. Here is our updated ranking.

The Tankers

New York Jets

32. Tennessee Titans

31. New York Giants

30. Washington Commanders

29. New Orleans Saints

28. New York Jets

27. Las Vegas Raiders

26. Cleveland Browns

The Tennessee Titans remain in last place after a bye, as the only one-win team in the NFL, but the New York Giants and Washington Commanders are not far in front of them after discouraging performances once again. The last game of the Brian Daboll era was another thrilling fourth-quarter loss to Big Blue, who are dealing with their own set of injury woes.

As for the first-year head coaches, Aaron Glenn has now led the New York Jets to two straight wins, while New Orleans Saints‘ head coach Kellen Moore put a huge dent in the Carolina Panthers‘ playoff hopes.

The Las Vegas Raiders and Cleveland Browns entered 2025 with postseason aspirations, but quarterback woes have once again doomed these franchises to irrelevance.

No man’s land

Miami Dolphins

25. Arizona Cardinals

24. Miami Dolphins

23. Atlanta Falcons

22. Cincinnati Bengals

Mike McDaniel is almost certainly going to be fired this offseason, but the Miami Dolphins have not given up on their head coach after a dominant upset over the Buffalo Bills. De’Von Achane ran all over the AFC East giants in this 30-13 victory.

Out west, the Arizona Cardinals were gashed by one of the league’s hottest teams, the Seattle Seahawks, in a huge blow to Jonathan Gannon’s job status.

Atlanta Falcons suffered a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts, led by MVP frontrunnerJonathan Taylor. Lastly, the Cincinnati Bengals have a prime opportunity to sneak into the next tier with a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday.

Can sneak into the playoffs

CeeDee Lamb

21. Dallas Cowboys

20. Carolina Panthers

19. Minnesota Vikings

18. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Dallas Cowboys added reinforcements to their lackluster defense at the trade deadline, and that improved unit, will make its debut on Monday night against the Las Vegas Raiders.

A loss for “America’s Team”, and they will be firmly out of the playoff hunt. Also in the NFC, the Carolina Panthers suffered a huge blow to their postseason hopes with a 17-7 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Bryce Young and company had a chance to be just half a game behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South. Up north, the Minnesota Vikings are firmly in last place in the NFC North after a discouraging home loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Nonetheless, few of the defeats this weekend can compare to the J Jacksonville Jaguars‘ 19-point collapse to the Houston Texans.

Can win one playoff game

Caleb Williams

17. Houston Texans

16. Chicago Bears

15. Pittsburgh Steelers

14. Baltimore Ravens

13. San Francisco 49ers

The Houston Texans and Chicago Bears both snatched victory from the jaws of defeat this past weekend. Ben Johnson’s team is currently the NFC’s No. 6 seed at 6-3 for a franchise that hasn’t finished a season above .500 since 2018.

Mike Tomlin wouldn’t know much about losing seasons, but the Pittsburgh Steelers have dropped three out of their past four games, which has made the Baltimore Ravens the odds-on favorite to win the AFC North crown.

Meanwhile, in the Bay Area, the depleted San Francisco 49ers were blown out at home by the Los Angeles Rams, indicating that there is a limit to this roster’s overall ceiling.

The dark horse contenders

Denver Broncos-2

12. Los Angeles Chargers

11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

10. Seattle Seahawks

9. Detroit Lions

8. Buffalo Bills

7. Green Bay Packers

6. Denver Broncos

The Los Angeles Chargers have suffered injury after injury on the offensive line, but Jim Harbaugh will still likely lead this franchise to their second-straight postseason berth.

Down south, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost a tight game at home to the New England Patriots and will now look to bounce back against a livid Buffalo Bills team.

Speaking of the Bills, this preseason AFC contender has dropped out of our Super Bowl tier after their blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins. It’s not necessarily this one performance that has us convinced Josh Allen and company can’t win it all.

Instead, we have seen the Bills’ poor rushing defense repeatedly exposed in wins and losses, and that weakness does not bode well against championship contenders.

Out west, the Seattle Seahawks can skyrocket up this list with a win against the Los Angeles Rams this weekend, while the Denver Broncos survived a scare against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Like last year, the NFC North is still very much up for grabs after the Detroit Lions‘ impressive road victory over the Washington Commanders and the Green Bay Packers’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Super Bowl contenders

Los Angeles Rams-2

5. New England Patriots

4. Kansas City Chiefs

3. Los Angeles Rams

2. Indianapolis Colts

1. Philadelphia Eagles

These are the teams that can realistically win it. And welcome the New England Patriots, who, despite their relatively easy schedule, now have signature road victories over the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Drake Maye continues to add to his MVP resume for a franchise that is the favorite to clinch the AFC’s No. 1 seed, considering their remaining schedule.

As for the one team currently not in the playoffs, the Kansas City Chiefs‘ hopes of winning the AFC West are on the line during their visit to Denver this weekend. The three-time defending AFC champs have had a bye week to prepare for this marquee matchup.

Looking at the top three, the Los Angeles Rams continue to be a juggernaut, specifically on offense, thanks to an MVP-caliber season by Matthew Stafford.

The Indianapolis Colts survived in Berlin against the Atlanta Falcons thanks to Jonathan Taylor’s best game of the season and are heading into a much-needed bye week.

And last but not least, the Philadelphia Eagles’ revamped defense was on full display in their 10-7 road win over the Green Bay Packers. The defending champs are not unbeatable, but they remain the odds-on favorite to win a second-straight Lombardi Trophy.

2026 World Cup Nation Punish Players By Cancelling Their Flight Home

The 2026 World Cup group stages are coming to a close, and many countries have already bowed out of the 48-team competition.

The biggest international tournament in world football was expanded this year, meaning a record 32 teams make it through to the knockout rounds at the United States, Canada and Mexico-hosted event.

However, it means only 16 nations bow out in disappointment after the first stage. One of the more high-profile countries to fall short at this hurdle, alongside Scotland and Turkey, were Uruguay.

The two-time champions were expected to progress through the group stage after being matched up against Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia. Especially with legendary manager Marcelo Bielsa at the helm.

However, it all unravelled very quickly for the South Americans. A disappointing draw against Saudi Arabia was followed by a hectic tie with Cape Verde. That left them needing maximum points against European champions Spain to ensure qualification for the next round.

To make matters worse, reports of unrest between the players and Bielsa surfaced in the days leading up to the final group match. In the end, a Fernando Muslera mistake sealed a 1-0 defeat, and Uruguay were out with not so much as a whimper.

Reports in Uruguay (via The Sun) have claimed the AUF have responded by punishing their players by cancelling their private flight home from Mexico. Each member of the staff and playing squad had to arrange their own way home as a result.

Why Uruguay Have Four Stars on Their Shirts Despite Only Winning Two World Cups

FIFA have approved the kit design, despite being against it in the past.

The exact reason for this decision hasn’t been officially confirmed, but it appears an easy link to make when they exited the competition in such a poor way.

Marcelo Bielsa to Leave Uruguay After Angry Outburst

Bielsa wasn’t in the mood for media duties after becoming the first South American nation to be eliminated from this year’s competition. He had an angry outburst in a post-match interview, making his frustrations clear.

It’s also been made clear that he will be leaving his role with the national side following their exit. An emotional Bielsa claimed he had left ‘nothing’ in his spell with the South Americans.

He said (per The Guardian): “I have not left anything to Uruguayan football. A coach who has been in a country for three years and not got results cannot say he has made a contribution. Fourth place in the qualifiers has no value and nor does third at the Copa América and there is no need to even define this performance [at the World Cup]. My time doesn’t say anything.”

He then explained his reasoning for bringing off Muslera and talisman Federico Valverde. Claiming his side could’ve earned seven points instead of just two, he fumed:

“We could have seven points but we have two. This is the result of my management. It was my job to manage a group of players that I did not manage to turn into a force. If you want explanations – which I don’t think you want – I would say that of the seven points we deserved, we got two.

“I am responsible for what Uruguay did at this World Cup. [Your] questions do not seek answers but a chance to attack me. I am responsible for all the disappointment because of the job I did. But if I have to analyse what happened, I also have to include the errors. Muslera was the one who decided to depart and I took Valverde off because I wanted to strengthen the attack.”

Fans Slam ‘Useless’ Morgan Rogers Performance

England limped over the line in the 2026 World Cup group stages with a cagey 2-0 win against Panama. The result sees the Three Lions finish first in Group L, but one player’s performance hasn’t gone down well.

Thomas Tuchel’s men are supposed to be among the favourites to win the whole competition, but while they are progressing to the Round of 32, many fans have been left worried after this performance.

The German coach made five changes from the previous disappointing draw against Ghana. Jarrel Quansah, Nico O’Reilly, Morgan Rogers, Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford all came into the starting XI. However, one of them has received strong criticism online.

Before the United States, Canada and Mexico-hosted tournament got underway earlier this month, there was a huge debate regarding who would start between Jude Bellingham and Morgan Rogers.

Many felt the latter would get the nod as the most attack-minded midfielder after some issues between Tuchel and Bellingham. Rogers was brilliant for Aston Villa last season, and appeared in pole position to start in the opening game.

However, his Real Madrid compatriot started against Croatia and scored an important goal. Bellingham was then named Man of the Match against Ghana and scored the winner vs Panama.

Rogers started alongside him in this game, but failed to deliver. The 23-year-old was outclassed by his rival No.10 and it would be a surprise to see him start the first knockout match.

Harry Kane ranks among the players with most World Cup Man of the Matches, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo joining him.

Fans were quick to criticise his display, particularly in the opening 45 minutes. “You could’ve told me Rogers wasn’t playing and I’d believe you. Completely useless against a low block,” one England supporter posted on X.

Another claimed: “Stocks falling on Rogers, been dreadful,” while the Aston Villa man was even labelled ‘non-existent’: “Rogers has been non-existent.”

Marcus Rashford got some stick alongside him as another X user said: “Not playing well at all. Rashford is no better than Gordon. Rogers waste of space.”

Some were critical of Thomas Tuchel’s squad selection. There were fans quick to point out that Cole Plamer could’ve thrived in such a game. One said: “England needed a Cole Palmer today, not Saka or Rogers,” while another added: “Feels like this performance is once again showing that this team needs a Palmer more than it does a Rogers.”

“I don’t care how good a season Rogers had, you can’t tell me Palmer wouldn’t be infinitely more effective in this team.”

Everton Now Want to Sign Liam Delap

Published

Everton have made contact with Premier League rivals over a move for a striker, according to Football Insider, as the club aim to give some fresh options to David Moyes.

It comes as the Toffees look to improve on last season’s 13th-placed finish, which saw the team in the conversation for European football, but falling away late in the campaign.

Several areas could be addressed in the market to help give Everton a fighting chance of landing a return to Europe next time, but the forward ranks remain the most prominent in the club’s focus for this summer.

According to the report from Football Insider, Everton have made contact with Chelsea in an effort to sign Liam Delap, as work for a deal accelerates.

The 23-year-old is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks, following a difficult debut campaign with the club last time around.

A mixture of injuries and poor form meant the striker looked a shadow of the player he was in his time with Ipswich Town the season before, having been described as a “beast” when at top form.

Everton are looking to take advantage of Chelsea’s decision to try and get Delap back to his very best, with plenty of potential clearly there.

The forward could offer a presence at the top end of the pitch, which would suit Moyes’s style of play, where the strikers often have to fight for the right service towards them.

It’s unclear exactly how much Everton value the striker at, with other reports claiming that £40 million could be enough to persuade the Blues to part ways this summer for the star who has been described as a “beast”.

That switch could prove to be the first deal of many for the Toffees, which could bring about some change in the forward departments.

Everton are expecting a few ins and outs when it comes to the forward areas, with some possible deals being lined up in both directions this summer.

RB Leipzig have made contact over a deal to sign Thierno Barry, which may open up the possibility of Delap making the switch to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton In Advanced Talks To Sign ‘World-Class’ England Star

Everton are closing in on a new potential signing for this summer, with an England star eyeing a possible return.

Beyond the French striker potentially leaving, reports have stated that Everton are interested in Jarrod Bowen following West Ham’s relegation to the Championship.

It would see Moyes reunite with the forward following their time together in the capital, which had plenty of success for the forward and the head coach.
