Real Madrid are paying close attention to Arsenal’s teenage sensations Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman ahead of the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.
The Gunners have had an exceptional campaign and currently sit top of the Premier League table, while they have also been handed a favourable draw in the Champions League knockout stages, and are in the Carabao Cup final, where they’ll face Manchester City later this month.
But despite their excellent results, Mikel Arteta has also found opportunities to give young players a chance in the first-team, and those players have now caught the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Real Madrid Want Nwaneri and Dowman
Nwaneri, impressed in limited minutes at the start of the campaign, playing on the right-wing and in central midfield, before the decision was made for him to move to Marseille on loan until the end of the season in January.
There, the 18-year-old scored on his debut and has featured five more times since then, although the sacking of Roberto De Zerbi hasn’t helped him settle too well. But his talent is still undeniable, and Real Madrid are understood to have him on their list as they look to bring in more talented English youngsters following the success of the signing of Jude Bellingham.
Alongside Nwaneri, Arteta has given a handful of minutes to 16-year-old superstar Max Dowman, who broke the record as the club’s youngest player in the Champions League earlier in the campaign.

The Magpies are described as “long-term admirers” of the 25-year-old, who has impressed in the Bundesliga as well as in the World Cup with Germany in recent weeks.
Nmecha has a release clause in his deal worth £73.5 million, though that doesn’t come into effect until next summer. That said, the report claims that there is hope a move can be negotiated for lower than that price.
There is likely to be some competition for Nmecha’s signature, as Manchester United have been linked with a transfer, along with fellow Premier League rivals Liverpool.
It remains to be seen whether Newcastle can get an agreement with both Dortmund and the Germany international over a potential transfer in the coming weeks as a result.
Newcastle are facing a tough summer transfer window, with Anthony Gordon’s exit set to be just the first of a few key moves away from the club.
