Khamzat Chimaev’s Deleted Tweet After Sean Strickland Loss at UFC 328
Khamzat Chimaev broke his silence following his upset loss to Sean Strickland in the main event of UFC 328 with a tweet on social media – only to delete it moments later.
The 32-year-old suffered the first defeat of his MMA career as he found himself on the wrong end of a split decision verdict against Strickland at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey in their UFC Middleweight Championship tilt.
Chimaev dominated the opening round of the contest, dragging his American foe to the mat and keeping him there throughout the session. However, the tide soon changed in the second round, as Strickland found a way to neutralise much of the champion’s grappling threat. Khamzat was even forced to pull guard on a number of occasions as Strickland began to find his groove in the bout.
The challenger’s success continued into the third round, before Chimaev levelled the fight in the eyes of many (including all three judges) by winning the fourth round.
The UFC 328 Main Event was Decided in the Final Five Minutes
With the clash dead-level after 20 minutes of action, it came down to the fifth and final round to decide who would take home the gold. It was a tight affair, but two out of the three judges gave the round to Strickland, meaning he became a UFC champion for the second time in his career.
After the fight, Chimaev told UFC CEO Dana White that he was done at middleweight. The now-former champion looked to have struggled badly with his weight cut for Saturday’s fight and was even accused of cheating during his weigh-in.
By moving up in weight, Chimaev would be giving up the opportunity of a rematch against Strickland. A second fight between the pair would make plenty of sense given the closeness of their first meeting, as well as the hype behind it.
Khamzat Chimaev’s Deleted Tweet After UFC 328
Despite Khamzat being clear about moving up from middleweight, he appeared to leave the door open for a rematch with Strickland in his first tweet since the loss.
Tagging Strickland directly in his tweet, Chimaev told his rival: “See you soon again”.
While the Russian-Emarati fighter could have been talking about seeing Strickland outside of the Octagon, it is tough to imagine that he wouldn’t relish a chance at redemption, especially if a rematch was to take place up at light heavyweight.
At the end of the bout Khamzat appeared to show that he had no ill will towards Strickland as he wrapped the UFC Middleweight Championship around his waist. However, given the bad blood that existed between the duo as recently as earlier in the week, there is every chance we haven’t seen the final chapter in their rivalry.

15 Worst Premier League Players in 25/26 Based on Stats
There were a few standout performers in the 2025/26 Premier League season.
The likes of Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhães and David Raya were all brilliant as Arsenal’s 22-year wait for a Premier League title came to an end.
Erling Haaland was brilliant as he hit the back of the net 27 times. The Norwegian’s Man City teammates, Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki, also excelled.
Elsewhere, Bruno Fernandes enjoyed a record-breaking campaign for Man Utd as he registered 21 assists, while Dominik Szobolszlai impressed despite a dismal season for Liverpool.
However, while the aforementioned names excelled, others failed to impress. The 15 worst players in the Premier League in the 25/26 have now been named, based on FotMob statistics.
15-11
Wolverhampton Wanderers had a dismal campaign. They managed to win just three matches and accumulate just 20 points as they finished rock-bottom.
It is, therefore, no surprise that three of their players feature among the worst players in England’s top tier in 2025/26: Rodrigo Gomes (6.43), Hwang Hee-chan (6.41) and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (6.40).
Leeds United signed Lukas Nmecha in the summer of 2025 hoping he could help them preserve their Premier League status. Leeds managed to do comfortably, but Nmecha himself didn’t have the best of campaigns.
The 11th worst player in the Premier League in 2025/26, according to statistics, was West Ham’s Callum Wilson. The 34-year-old features despite scoring seven times. He is searching for a new club this summer after departing the Hammers following the expiration of his contract.

Anthony Elanga was maginificent in the 2024/25 campaign as he inspired Nottingham Forest to a top six finish. His brilliance caught the attention of Newcastle United, who signed him for £55 million. He proved to be one of the worst signings of the season as he failed to find the back of the net and recorded just one assist in 32 matches.
Burnley suffered relegation back to the Championship with Loum Tchaouna (6.33) and Josh Laurent (6.31) both flattering to deceive. They were statistically the ninth-worst and seventh-worst players in England’s top tier respectively.
Rodrigo Muniz, who managed just one goal, and Sunderland’s Wilson Isidor also feature among the worst players in England’s top tier in 25/26.

Jacob Bruun Larsen’s average of 6.30 places him among the five worst players in the Premier League this season.
Tottenham Hotspur signed Randal Kolo Muani on loan with the hopes he could fire them back to Europe. The north London side will be relieved the deal did not contain an obligation to make the switch permanent, with the Frenchman managing just one goal in England’s top tier.
Liam Delap’s performances for Ipswich Town during the 24/25 campaign attracted the attention of some of England’s top clubs. Chelsea won the race for his signature as he signed for the club in a £30m deal, only for him to have a disastrous campaign where he hit the back of the net just once.
Only two players in the Premier League were statistically worse than the Chelsea striker: Lyle Foster and Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Strand Larsen, who made the £55 million from Wolves to Crystal Palace in January, recorded an average rating of 6.23, the lowest of any player in the Premier League.

Man Utd in Talks to Sign Mateus Fernandes After Ederson, He Wants to Join
Manchester United are in talks to sign West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes after reaching an agreement to sign Ederson from Atalanta, according to The Athletic.
Man United have been heavily linked with a move for Ederson for weeks now, with Athletic journalist David Ornstein confirming on Tuesday night that an agreement had been reached with Atalanta worth a €40.5m fixed fee, with a potential €4.5m extra in add-ons.
The Brazilian is set to sign a five-year deal to move to Old Trafford, with a move expected to be completed at the beginning of July after the Italian transfer window opens at the end of this month.
With reports suggesting that the Red Devils could look to add up to three central midfielders to their squad this summer, with Casemiro’s exit already confirmed and Manuel Ugarte expected to join him, INEOS are not done yet after the Ederson deal.
The club must now decide who their next target or targets are going to be, as they hunt a top-class replacement for Casemiro in the coming weeks.
United would love to land England international Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest, but there are two stumbling blocks: his price tag and the fact that he prefers a move to Manchester City instead.
The Athletic: Man United Holding Talks to Sign Mateus Fernandes
One Premier League star who has come onto the radar of many of Europe’s biggest clubs is West Ham United’s Mateus Fernandes.
The likes of the Red Devils were considering a move for the impressive 21-year-old even before the Irons’ relegation to the Championship, which has only provided an even bigger opportunity for his suitors.
The Athletic report that United have held talks with West Ham over a potential fee and the player over personal terms, with the Hammers having little choice but to cash in on their prized asset after slipping into England’s second tier.
Fernandes has been described as a ‘superstar’ by one scout, and separate reports believe they value him in excess of £80m. They may be forced to sell him for less than that given they are now a Championship club, however.
Separate reports claim that Fernandes is very keen to move to Old Trafford to link up with Portuguese compatriot Bruno.

Tottenham Consider Move For Third Free Transfer Of The Summer
Tottenham look set to confirm two new signings on free transfers this summer, with Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi joining the club from Liverpool and Bournemouth respectively.
And there could be a third freebie of the window to add to Roberto De Zerbi‘s squad. According to reports, Tottenham are considering a move to sign Harry Wilson, following his departure from Fulham.
Spurs are making sensible moves in the transfer market, as De Zerbi looks to put his stamp on the ailing squad he inherited from Igor Tudor at the end of March. The Italian rescued the Lilywhites from relegation to the Championship on the final day of the season and he will be aiming to push Spurs up the Premier League table in 2026/27.
De Zerbi still has a big number of injuries at Tottenham
Robertson and Senesi will bolster a backline that conceded more goals last season than every team bar the bottom three, but De Zerbi needs players further up the pitch too.
With a number of players in attacking areas out injured – see Mohammed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert – De Zerbi will want to add attacking reinforcements this summer.
Wilson would certainly add a touch of class. The Welsh forward really came into his own this season, stepping forward as Fulham’s main man in a campaign where the Whites only finished outside the top half on goal difference.
Wilson notched an impressive 10 goals and added seven assists in 36 matches, only missing two top-flight games. He was named inn the starting lineup for 32 of those matches, proving he was a player Marco Silva could count on.
Wilson had the season of his career at Fulham
Speaking earlier in the season, Silva said: “Right now, everything that he touches turns to something magic. Fans should just try to enjoy it. The numbers are incredible, but it’s not just about the numbers, this season he’s been incredible.
“He’s humble, and a hard-worker always. I don’t have doubts he is in the best moment of his career.”
Spurs may not have it all their own way when it comes to getting Wilson to put pen-to-paper on a deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Given his impressive campaign, there are likely to be other candidates for his signature, with Liverpool named as an interested party.
Wilson has been named by Spurs transfer writer Paul O’Keefe as being on Spurs’ radar this summer as they look for forwards. Savinho has been most heavily linked recently.
Wilson’s contract with Fulham expires at the end of June and at 29 years old he will be looking for what will probably be the last big contract of his career.
