Arsenal Make Shock Offer to Sign Savinho on Loan
Arsenal have made a shock offer to sign Manchester City forward Savinho on loan, with their Premier League title rivals making their stance on a move clear.
Arsenal have had a quiet start to their summer transfer window, which isn’t too surprising because the Gunners don’t need to major work on their squad after a season where they won the Premier League and finished as runners-up to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
While some of their rivals like Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have already made signings, with three in the case of the latter, the Gunners are taking their time to ensure they land the right targets who will improve them as they look to retain their Premier League title and go one better in Europe’s elite club competition next term.
Arsenal chiefs will be considering any position where they feel they can sign an upgrade, but their attack appears to be one area where there could be activity in the summer window.
With some doubts over the future of Gabriel Martinelli, the north Londoners have been looking at left-sided attacking options, with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers emerging as a key target in recent weeks.
He isn’t the only left-sided Premier League player on the radar though.
Arsenal Hold Talks With Man City Over Savinho Deal
According to RTI Esporte, in Savinho’s homeland of Brazil, Arsenal have held talks with Manchester City over a potential move for Savinho.
The Gunners are said to have expressed an interest in signing the 22-year-old on a loan deal from the Etihad, but the proposal was instantly rejected by City, who will only consider permanent offers to let the forward leave.
Tottenham appear to be the club best placed to prise the ‘extraordinary’ Brazilian away from City, having shown interest in buying him last summer.
The report claims that Spurs have opened initial talks with City and the player’s representatives over a move, with the player also attracting interest from Clube Atletico Mineiro in his home nation.
RTI Esporte claim that City would be willing to sell for around €50m (£43m) with Arsenal and Tottenham needing to decide what they’re going to do next.

Arsenal Making Progress on Morgan Rogers Deal
While negotiations over a move for Savinho have fallen flat, according to RTI Esporte, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed that Arsenal are making progress over a move to sign Aston Villa and England star Morgan Rogers.
The Gunners want to add a starting left-winger and Rogers fits the bill, with the Englishman having the added bonus of being able to operate in the No.10 role too.
The north Londoners have now made the 23-year-old their top transfer target and club chiefs are expected to submit an offer to Villa for his signature soon.
While he has firm interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, Rogers is said to be keen to seal a move to the Premier League champions, with Villa reluctant sellers if their asking price is matched.
That number is around £100m, according to GMS sources, with Arsenal set to begin formal talks with Villa imminently.

Carlos Queiroz Explains Jude Bellingham Altercation During England 0-0 Ghana
In their second match of the 2026 World Cup, England were held to a goalless draw by Ghana in Boston, a result that nonetheless keeps Thomas Tuchel’s side top of Group L following their opening 4-2 win over Croatia.
Jude Bellingham marked the occasion by becoming the youngest England player to reach 50 caps, though he was unable to inspire a breakthrough against a Ghana side happy to sit deep and frustrate their opponents.
But as half-time was called, following a half in which the Three Lions failed to register a shot on target, a foul-mouthed incident involving Bellingham took place, one that required the intervention of several players and staff from both sides, before things had the chance to escalate further.
Jude Bellingham and Carlos Queiroz Clash at Half-Time
It all stemmed from a foul in which Bellingham caught Jerome Opoku late, with tempers boiling over moments after the referee’s whistle for the interval.
Bellingham looked to be exchanging expletives with former Premier League right back John Painsil, one of Carlos Queiroz’s assistants, before Queiroz himself got involved, pursuing Bellingham as Morgan Rogers pulled the Real Madrid man away.
World Cup: England Star Refuses Thomas Partey Handshake as Crowd Footage Emerges
The former Arsenal midfielder was denied the chance to play in Ghana’s World Cup opener last week due to his upcoming court case.
Players and coaching staff continued arguing as they made their way across the pitch and towards the tunnel, though no cards were issued and calm had been restored by the restart. Watch what happened below:
After the match Bellingham was eager to downplay his role in the incident. “It was just when I made a silly tackle, to be honest,” he said.
“I was trying to try to win the ball, and I followed through a little bit and caught the lad. I spoke to him after, and then their bench jumped up trying to get me a yellow card.”
He also offered a nod of respect towards the opposing dugout, adding: “I think their manager [Queiroz] I just recognised him. He’s obviously the one who used to be at Manchester United, so great respect, and nothing but a competitive edge for both of us.”
Queiroz Reveals his Thoughts on Bellingham Incident
After Thomas Tuchel insisted that the issue was just a matter of Bellingham standing up for himself, Queiroz was clear on what had actually irritated him, pointing to Bellingham’s language rather than anything to do with Bellingham’s challenge on his player.
The 22-year-old is no stranger to his language getting him in trouble after being sent off for verbal abuse when representing Real Madrid in February.

“He had a bad reaction with some bad names and that’s why the story started,” the Ghana boss said, before elaborating further: “He swears and that created a bit more tension. But it’s just football – he had one word that carried a bit of fire but we are professionals and we were able to cool down. This isn’t dancing where you wear tuxedos,” per Ed Aarons of The Guardian.

Yan Diomande Agrees Personal Terms to Join Liverpool
Liverpool have reached a major breakthrough in their bid to make a blockbuster summer signing for new manager Andoni Iraola, according to reports in France.
Having appointed a new boss and lost key players from the Anfield dressing room in Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah and Ibrahima Konate, it has been clear that there will be changes to the playing squad before next season.
Liverpool have already got their summer business underway after signing left-winger Victor Munoz from under the noses of Premier League rivals Newcastle United, with the Spain international set to compete for a spot on the wing against Cody Gakpo, who has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
The Reds could make a new addition in central midfield with links to the likes of Adam Wharton, Mateus Fernandes and Alex Scott of Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Bournemouth respectively, but securing a long-term replacement for Salah appears to be key to their summer plans.
The Merseysiders have identified RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande as their number one target to replace the Egypt international, but finding an agreement with the German club has proved difficult as they demand up to €130m (£112m) for his services.
Liverpool have made one breakthrough to try and complete a deal though.
Diomande Agrees Personal Terms to Join Liverpool
According to French outlet MediaFoot, Liverpool and Iraola have been handed a big double boost in their bid to land Diomande in this transfer window.
The report claims that not only have the Reds reached an agreement with the Ivory Coast international over personal terms, but that Paris Saint-Germain are set to leave the race to sign the 19-year-old because of Leipzig’s huge asking price.
Of course, Liverpool still need to find an agreement with the Bundesliga outfit on an acceptable price, but with buy-in from the player and a seemingly clear run at securing his services, they are in a strong position.
The Reds have already seen a bid worth €100m rejected by Leipzig, with the offer broken down as €80m plus €20m in add-ons, according to GIVEMESPORT sources.

Iraola Closing in on His Next Semenyo
Make no mistake, Liverpool look like they will have to pay more than £100m if they want to sign Diomande, and that is clearly a huge fee for someone who has played one season of regular first-team football.
However, the 19-year-old’s talent is there for all to see, as he displayed at the 2026 World Cup when he produced a man-of-the-match display in the Ivory Coast’s opening group match win against Ecuador.
The teenager has explosive pace that sees him beat opposition full-backs easily, while he also has the trickery on the ball to turn defenders inside out.
What is most impressive about the teenager is the fact that he is producing solidly when it comes to goal contributions despite his tender years, while he has also shown brilliant work defensively to help his teammates at club and national level.
One German-based journalist has claimed that Diomande ‘reminds him of Antoine Semenyo’, who Iraola knows only too well from the duo’s time together at Bournemouth.
If Liverpool can land Diomande, Iraola may well have found his next Semenyo to work with.
