Liverpool Now Pushing Hard to Sign Barcola in Mega Money Deal
Liverpool’s number one transfer priority this summer is Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
That will come as no surprise to many supporters, with the Reds having been heavily linked with a move for the France international for much of the summer so far, particularly after previous target Yan Diomande made it clear that he preferred a move to the Parc des Princes instead of Anfield.
Diomande’s impending move to the French capital could in turn open the door for Liverpool to sign Barcola, with the 23-year-old potentially falling even further down the pecking order under Luis Enrique, despite the Spaniard previously describing him as “unstoppable”.
Barcola is not always first choice under Luis Enrique
Barcola often shared responsibilities on the left-hand side of Enrique’s front line with Desire Doue, and the same can be said of his time under Didier Deschamps in the 2026 World Cup.
Barcola had 20 goal involvements (13 goals, 7 assists) in 49 appearances in all competitions for PSG last season, with 35 of those in the starting lineup. He then went on to have four goal involvements (3 goals, 1 assist) in eight appearances at the World Cup, with four of those being starts.
It is clear the 23-year-old craves more playing time and to be trusted more and with Liverpool needing to freshen up their attack, with Mohamed Salah having already departed and Federico Chiesa and Cody Gakpo’s futures unclear right now, he would get that at Anfield.
And new head coach Andoni Iraola is “pushing” to get a deal over the line. Reports have suggested PSG could demand in the region of £128million to sell Barcola this summer, but that is not beyond the realms of possibility for the Reds, who broke the British transfer record twice last summer when signing Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak.
Romano talks up Liverpool pursuit of Barcola
Speaking on X live, Romano said of Liverpool’s interest in Barcola: “I stand on my position. No Arsenal. Liverpool are pushing for Bradley Barcola. Liverpool remain interested in Bradley Barcola. Then we have to wait. We have to see what’s going to happen. But Barcola for Liverpool for sure is high on the list.”

He supported that in a YouTube video on Thursday morning, stating: “Let me repeat today, yesterday, last month, two months ago, three months ago, Barcola is the top, top, top target of Liverpool. Liverpool love Barcola.
“I know many of you doubt information because information is not everywhere, and so many of you say, ‘ah but it’s impossible, ah but it’s not going to happen’. I don’t know if it’s going to be possible financially, but what I can tell you is that for sure, Liverpool remain super keen on Bradley Barcola.”

Cody Rhodes’ Wife Reveals Natalya is Always Naked in WWE Locker Room
A behind the scenes story involving a WWE star has resurfaced after Brandi Rhodes shared a memorable locker room anecdote during an episode of her “A Shot of Brandi” podcast.
Rhodes had a star guest on her podcast, which she started in 2022, shortly after her retirement from professional wrestling, and their conversation quickly changed to locker room chatter, with Rhodes revealing how her guest was always naked, despite what was going on around her.
Rhodes began wrestling in 2011 and is married to Cody Rhodes. She is seen as a trailblazer in professional wrestling, as she became the first African-American woman to serve as a ring announcer at WrestleMania in 2015.
She competed in wrestling for several years while also starring in the reality television show, Rhodes to the Top, alongside her husband, Cody.
The couple have two daughters together, born in 2021 and 2025, and they have been married since 2013.
Brandi Rhodes’ Locker Room Chat With Female Superstar
The guest she had on her podcast was Natalie Neidhart, better known to wrestling fans as Natalya.
Natalya, 44, has been in the WWE since 2007. She is widely considered as a legend and pioneer in female wrestling. She is a multi-time champion and holds a number of Guinness World Records for her longevity, which includes the most matches, wins, and submission victories of any female competitor in the history of WWE.
She has previously been the Divas Champion, SmackDown Women’s Champion, and the Women’s Tag Team Champion.
Natalya comes from a famous wrestling family. Her father, Jim Neidhart, was also a legend in wrestling, being a Hall of Fame member. Natalya’s grandfather, Stu Hart, is the patriarch of the famous family with all eight of his sons becoming wrestlers. As of 2026, Natalya is the only active WWE competitor in the family.
Natalya recently appeared on the “A Shot of Brandi” podcast where her and Brandi Rhodes shared a funny story with listeners.
Brandi said: “When I was in the locker room with you, that, it’s so long ago, it’s so scary that it’s that long ago. You were always naked. Are you always naked?
“But when she, when she would be naked, this is what she would do. I’m telling you she would do this. She would have her phone, be totally naked, cross her leg like this, and stand like that. So was like, with everybody. Like reading something. But it was like, with everybody, my physique is so great. Just look at it.
“But she would cover everything that needed to be covered. I do remember one day asking her, I was like, ‘wouldn’t it be easier to just put on your underwear?'”
Natalya laughed off the story by Brandi, giving a reason for her madness in her locker room routine by saying: “Listen, I think why I was probably naked in the locker room was because if you’re building the front and stacking the back, you may as well let it all just hang out.”

Harry Kane Makes Bayern Munich Contract Decision
Harry Kane is set to sign a new contract at Bayern Munich, GIVEMESPORT understands. Talks will resume this summer after productive discussions earlier in the year.
Kane scored an astonishing 36 goals in 31 games as Bayern won the Bundesliga. He also added a further five assists last season.
Bayern are relaxed about Kane‘s future despite links with other clubs. Kane had a €65million release clause, active in January, but specifically for this summer. It needed to be triggered last winter if Kane wanted to leave during this window.
Saudi side asked about Harry Kane’s availability
Barcelona had an enquiry following the departure of Robert Lewandowski and are under the impression Kane will remain in Germany. He is settled both on and off the field.
GMS can also reveal Al-Hilal have made an approach this summer to understand Kane’s situation. The Saudi side, who have former Bournemouth technical director Simon Francis working for them and are also expected to hire Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes, have already agreed a deal worth around £65million to sign Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United.
Al Hilal have been engaged in on-off negotiations with Kane since summer 2023. They also made an approach before the Club World Cup last summer, and Kane made it clear he wasn’t looking to leave Bayern.
Kane has never ruled out moving to Saudi one day, but had no intention to depart a year before the 2026 World Cup. Sources have told GMS that Al-Hilal agreed to revisit the situation with Kane this summer.
Al-Hilal must also clarify the future of Karim Benzema. Saudi sources say the club have discussed registering the former Ballon d’Or winner only for Asian Champions League games, although this is not an idea the French striker is on board with. Darwin Núñez is also waiting for his own future to be resolved.
Premier League return now off the cards for Kane
There was talk earlier in the window, with question marks over whether or not Kane would sign a new contract in Germany, that he could make a move back to the Premier League with either former club Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester United. But a contract renewal will now end any talk of an England return.
Kane is second on the list of all-time top Premier League goalscorers, just 47 behind Alan Shearer at the top of the pile. He will turn 33 later this month and is running out of time to make the move back to claim that record in England.

Man Utd Have Five-Man Left-Back Transfer Shortlist
Manchester United are looking to sign a left-back this summer, and the club’s hierarchy have seemingly compiled a four-man shortlist of potential options for this position.
The Red Devils have thus far focused on rebuilding their midfield in this window, after Casemiro left at the end of the campaign and Manuel Ugarte suffered a serious knee injury at the World Cup. Youri Tielemans has been acquired from Aston Villa in a £35million deal, while United have also landed Andrey Santos from Chelsea for £50million.
More work needs to be done, particularly in the full-back positions. While a right-back could be on the agenda, a left-back is the priority, with Patrick Dorgu being predominantly used as a winger by Michael Carrick and the injury-prone Luke Shaw entering the latter stages of his career.
With that said, here are four targets the north-west club have reportedly identified to fill this role in their squad.
Lewis Hall
Club: Newcastle United
Age: 21
It’s widely understood that Lewis Hall is United’s dream target for this position. Reputable journalist Laurie Whitehall has reported multiple times that Hall is hugely admired at Old Trafford, and it’s a deal they’d love to get done.
However, with Newcastle suffering something of a mass exodus of star players this summer, it remains to be seen whether they’d sanction this departure. Sandro Tonali has already left for Tottenham in a £100million deal, Anthony Gordon joined Barcelona earlier this summer, and Arsenal are aggressively pursuing club captain Bruno Guimaraes.
If the Gunners secure the Brazilian’s signature, Eddie Howe will arguably have lost his three best players in one window. If they were to lose Hall as well, all of a sudden the Magpies would be dealing with a decimated squad.
Thus, it’s plausible that the fee will become too substantial for United to make a serious move for Hall this summer. Regardless, they remain interested in the 21-year-old, who would undoubtedly be an excellent long-term replacement for Shaw.
Antonee Robinson
Club: Fulham
Age: 28
Antonee Robinson has emerged as a surprise target for United, with the Guardian reporting that the Red Devils are considering the American full-back.
The Fulham defender has established himself as a dependable Premier League left-back, performing excellently at Craven Cottage for a number of years. However, after a move to Liverpool failed to materialise last summer, it seemed as though his chance of securing a move to a top club had passed.
That said, United could offer the United States international a lifeline in this sense. Marco Silva often favoured Ryan Sessegnon at left-back last season, and while it remains to be seen whether Alvaro Arbeloa echoes these sentiments, this could prompt the Cottagers to cash in whilst they still can.
Robinson is on the older side, so wouldn’t be a long-term Shaw successor, but he could plug the gap for a handful of years, before someone like Hall becomes available.
Alejandro Balde
Club: Barcelona
Age: 22
Barcelona’s Alejandro Balde has emerged as a genuine alternative to Hall for United. TEAMtalk report that there are doubts around the 22-year-old’s future at the Nou Camp, with the player entering the final two years of his contract, and there have been no indications that a new deal is being negotiated.
When Balde broke into the Barcelona first team, there was a belief that he’d hold down the left-hand side of the Catalan defence for years to come. However, some injury issues have curtailed his development, and he could now be ready for a fresh challenge.
That said, the Spaniard was still Hansi Flick’s first-choice left-back last season, so his departure would probably need the German’s approval.
Stylistically, Balde would be able to replace the overlapping and offensive qualities that Shaw has consistently delivered throughout his time at Old Trafford.
Givairo Read
Club: Feyenoord
Age: 20
Givairo Read is one of the hottest young left-backs in Europe at the moment, having enjoyed two impressive breakout seasons at Feyenoord now. While Liverpool have been the club most heavily linked with the Dutchman, United have also been mentioned in the conversations around Read.
Similarly to Balde and Hall, the 20-year-old is outstanding as an outlet, able to receive passes high up the pitch and then influence proceedings in the final third. This attribute will be essential for any potential incoming left-back if Carrick plans to keep using Matheus Cunha on the left wing. Cunha thrives in the half spaces, meaning he needs someone to provide the width on the outside of him.
Given he’d be coming from the Eredivisie, United may be able to land Read for a reasonable price — certainly significantly below the likes of Hall and Balde.
Djed Spence
Club: Tottenham Hotspur
Age: 25
Along the Robinson lines, United could opt for an experienced Premier League defender, rather than a younger player who can grow alongside Carrick’s evolving project. Football Insider report that the Red Devils are lining up a surprise move for Djed Spence, who would fall into this category.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham would sanction a move for the World Cup star, although given Pedro Porro’s excellent form at the tournament, as well as the presence of Destiny Udogie and Andy Robertson in Roberto De Zerbi’s squad, there is no clear role for him in North London. United, on the other hand, can assure him of regular minutes.
Fees correct prior to summer 2026
All 10 found — excellent!
While he might not provide the attacking quality Shaw does on the left, he’s an outstanding defensive alternative to the 31-year-old, while his versatility also means he can cover the right-hand side. As aforementioned, United could still pursue a right-back this summer, but they could simply choose to kill two birds with one stone by signing Spence instead.
It makes sense for all parties.
