Everton Agree Deal to Sign Arsenal Star Christian Norgaard

Published

on

Everton have agreed a deal with Arsenal to sign midfielder Christian Norgaard, according to David Ornstein.

The Toffees have already bolstered their midfield this summer with the arrival of Hayden Hackney, and making Merlin Rohl’s loan move permanent too. But the club have lost the experience of influential star Idrissa Gana Gueye, who departed at the end of his contract.

David Moyes has been keen to make additions to the squad this summer in order to climb up the Premier League table, and the club have now moved swiftly to agree a deal for the Danish star.

Norgaard, who won the Premier League title with Arsenal last season, joined the club from Brentford last summer but struggled to make a major impact, making just seven appearances in the top-flight and 20 in all competitions, including just seven starts.

Arsenal have now made a big-money move to bring in Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes, with a verbal agreement worth £77m reached, and Everton have swooped to bring in the 32-year-old from the Emirates Stadium now.

The two clubs have agreed a deal worth around £7m, and the player has agreed to make the move to Merseyside after just one year in north London.

The player is now set to undergo a medical next week ahead of the proposed move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and the deal is in the final stages of being formalised.

Norgaard has got huge experience in the Premier League, having been a regular for Brentford prior to his move to Arsenal, and will be seen as the natural replacement for Gueye both positionally and as a leader within the squad.

Tottenham Make Offer to Sign Galatasaray Striker Victor Osimhen

Published

Tottenham are plotting a move to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window as they continue to look to improve Roberto De Zerbi’s squad.

Plenty of Tottenham’s focus over the last few months in terms of recruitment has been to bring in reinforcements in midfield and defence.

Spurs spent significantly to bring both Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali to the club to strengthen their midfield options, and attention could soon turn to their attacking line.

The North London club are yet to make a new addition in attack, but they are being linked with a number of players.

Signing a striker could be one of their priorities, with Richarlison linked with a departure and Dominic Solanke yet to replicate the form he produced while at Bournemouth.

According to a report from Caught Offside, Tottenham have made a £50 million-plus approach to sign Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window.

It’s claimed that personal terms aren’t expected to be an issue for Spurs, and they have received approval to begin formal negotiations for the centre-forward.

There’s been no official approach between Tottenham and Galatasaray, with Spurs clearly just expressing their interest in making an offer in the region of £50 million.

Tottenham are in the market for a dependable goal scorer, with Richarlison’s future uncertain, and De Zerbi looking to bring in a number 9 before the end of the window.

Osimhen one of the best in the world

Despite making the move to Turkey, Osimhen is still regarded as one of the best strikers in world football.

His former teammate, Przemyslaw Frankowski, regarded him as a world-class striker who is in the top five in world football.

Osimhen has also been previously labelled the best striker in the world. It certainly wouldn’t be a surprise if he made his way back to a top-five league soon.

Osimhen would certainly solve some problems for Spurs when it comes to their attack, but it remains to be seen whether Spurs will be willing to pay enough to secure his signature.

Alan Myers Shares Huge Update on Everton Interest in Baris Alper Yilmaz

Alan Myers has responded to reports linking Everton with a move for a highly-rated attacker and confirmed ‘there is some truth.’

It’s not been the busiest of summers for the Toffees thus far, having swooped for Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney in early July. They opted to sign Tyrique George and Merlin Rohl permanently after the duo spent last season on loan at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

With the new season just weeks away, David Moyes will want to ensure his squad are ready to try to build on a 13th-placed finish. Europe had looked a real possibility until the Merseyside outfit stumbled during the second half of the campaign.

Update on Everton Interest in Yilmaz

Baris Alper Yilmaz

Everton seem keen on bolstering Moyes’ attack, and reports in Turkey claim they are eyeing Galatasaray’s Baris Alper Yilmaz. Club officials are thought to have flown to Turkey to try and seal a deal for the versatile attacker.

Myers delved into links with Yilmaz and told his followers on X: “I’m told there is some truth in the Yilmaz from Galatasaray links, not sure how big the interest is.”

Yilmaz has been earning plaudits in the Turkish Super Lig over the years and caught the eye during last season’s Champions League campaign. He’s a tricky winger whose versatility allows him to play a variety of positions, including his preferred left wing role.

The 26-year-old recorded an excellent tally of 12 goals and 16 assists in 49 games across competitions last season. He played a lead role in Galatasaray’s 26th Turkish title win, and the fourth of his career.

A move for Yilmaz is certainly an ambitious one given his status in Europe, dubbed “excellent” by Giorgio Chiellini, who is just as important for his club as he is for his country. If reports in Turkey are true, the Premier League club could be looking at spending around £30 million on the Turk.

Everton Can Dream of Europe With Yilmaz

Yilmaz

Yilmaz has been talked up for a switch to one of Europe’s big guns for several years now and that highlights just how big his arrival at Hill Dickinson would be. His explosive pace could frighten Premier League defenders and he’s in his prime at this stage of his career.

With Everton still yet to decide whether to move for Jack Grealish again following his loan spell, Yilmaz could be the answer. Getting into Europe will be the priority for Moyes and this calibre of player helps him achieve that goal.

Yilmaz isn’t the only attacker that the Toffees are showing interest in, as they are reportedly keen on Manchester United youngster Ethan Wheatley. Fabrizio Romano reports that they are preparing a bid for the 20-year-old, whose chances of game time at Old Trafford are slim to none.

Erling Haaland Named Man City Legend as the ‘Smartest Player’ He’s Played With

Published

Erling Haaland has already played alongside some of the most intelligent players of his generation at just 26 years old. However, one man stands out to the Norwegian as the ‘smartest’ he’s shared the pitch with.

Haaland is already one of the greatest goalscorers in Premier League history, netting 112 goals in just 132 appearances to date. But every great goal-getter needs creative and clever players supplying them.

From Kevin De Bruyne to Martin Odegaard, Haaland has played alongside some incredibly smart footballers, but neither can match the football IQ of one Man City icon. In the striker’s eyes at least.

Erling Haaland Full of Praise For Man City Superstar

Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland

Man City have become one of the most dominant forces in world football over the past two decades, particularly during Pep Guardiola’s reign from 2016 to 2026. The English club have spent an incredible amount of money on transfers over the years, meaning high turnover in the playing squad.

However, some players have been able to stick around due to their immense intelligence and ability, even under Guardiola. One of those men was Bernardo Silva, who has made more appearances under the Catalan-born coach than any other player in history (460).

That’s an incredible record, considering Guardiola is one of the greatest managers of all time and has only ever managed world-class teams. Silva’s role in the Citizens’ line-up has evolved over the years, as he moved from a creative winger to a tempo-dictating midfielder. He even played at left-back a few times.

None of that would be possible without supreme intelligence and an unmatched understanding of what it takes to survive in a Guardiola team. Haaland was very complimentary of the Portuguese star ahead of his 2026 exit from the club.

“He’s probably the smartest player I’ve ever played with because of the way he controls a game,” Haaland told Sky Sports (via CityXtra).

“To talk about his Man City career in the last nine years, it’s been crazy. He has six Premier Leagues – look at this trophies – he won the Champions League, look how important he was for us in the Treble season, scored against Bayern [Munich], two [goals] against [Real] Madrid.

“It’s difficult to find words because he’s been such an important figure for this club for the last nine years. He’s been shaping the club with the way he’s been on the pitch and off the pitch.”

Haaland isn’t the only one who publicly appreciated Silva’s unbelievable football brain. Guardiola was often complimentary of his loyal servant.

In 2021, the iconic manager noted Silva’s ability to take on any role in the team. Guardiola raved: “Bernardo is so intelligent, he can play everywhere.

“He understands the game perfectly, he knows exactly what he has to do and where to play so there are no doubts. He’s back and I’m incredibly delighted for the two goals he scored and we need him.”
