“The report reaching me now is that because the Accord Party is leading in most of the polling units across Osun State, APC and the government are trying to withdraw security operatives so that they can start rigging.

“We will not allow rigging in Osun and I want to assure APC and the federal government that if they withdraw security from the polling units and the collation centers, they are trying to call for trouble in this country.”

The former lawmaker called on the electorates to be vigilant and ensure that their votes are protected.

He also said that the National Headquarters of the Movement in Abuja has mobilized to complement the efforts of the APC Situation Room in Osogbo, Osun State.

The former presidential aide added that the Movement would closely monitor the process, support their party’s agents with intelligence and ensure that every vote cast by the people is properly protected and accounted for.

“This Osun election is going to be a very close contest. The final margin will be much narrower than many people expect. But I remain confident that the APC will emerge victorious.

“We will not stand by and watch any attempt to undermine the will of the people or manipulate the process. The people of Osun have the right to decide, through their votes, the direction they want for their state.

“Let the people’s mandate prevail. Let every vote count. Let democracy win,” he tweeted.

Davido also gave an update on the uploading of polling unit results, saying 1,077 out of the 3,763 polling units had been uploaded.
