Week 9 of the NFL season is almost upon us, which means that NFL Fantasy Football leagues are more than halfway to the playoffs.
This is the time of year when managers need to be extra vigilant towards which players are healthy, which are injured, and which are trending in the wrong direction.
Because of all of these considerations, it’s prime trade season, and GIVEMESPORT has identified ten athletes fantasy managers need to buy low and sell high on immediately. Here are the five players you should trade for and trade away to stay in the playoff hunt.
Trade For Mark Andrews

The time to strike a cheap deal for the veteran tight end is now as he looks to help this 2-5 squad contend for the AFC North crown.
Trade Away Ashton Jeanty
Ashton Jeanty is one of the best rookies in the league, and the young running back is averaging a solid 13.7 fantasy points per game so far in his career.
The Las Vegas Raiders have heavily relied on their No. 6 overall pick this season, albeit with an atrocious offensive line. It might be best to wait for another solid performance from Jeanty to deal with him, but the 21-year-old’s stock is still pretty high right now.
Because of the uncertainty upfront, dealing with the former Boise State standout soon would be a wise move.
Trade For Kayshon Boutte
Kayshon Boutte‘s stock is on an upward trajectory as the third-year wideout becomes a fixture in the New England Patriots‘ offense.
Drake Maye is turning into a legitimate MVP candidate, and he’s starting to air it out to his dynamic wide receivers more rather than checking down to tight ends and running backs.
The Patriots have by far the easiest strength of schedule to end the season and will face several leaky secondaries going forward. Boutte won’t cost too much in a potential trade right now, but that might not be the case in a couple of weeks.
Trade Away Travis Hunter
Travis Hunter is coming off his best game of the season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, catching eight passes for 101 yards and a touchdown.
The reigning Heisman Trophy winner showcased his incredible upside against an elite Los Angeles Rams‘ secondary. Unfortunately, the only problem is that the Jaguars lost this game 35-7.
Hunter may have turned a corner a few weeks ago, but there’s also a decent chance his stock is at a season-high right now, and managers should deal him sooner rather than never.
Trade For Jayden Reed

Jayden Reed is a classic injury stash who is a viable flex-worthy candidate as he returns from a broken collarbone. The Green Bay Packers have numerous strengths on their roster, but wide receiver is one area where this NFC contender could use more depth.
When he returns in a week or two, Reed should resume his role as WR1 on the Packers’ roster, meaning that fantasy managers should trade for him immediately.
Trade Away Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart has been a breath of fresh air for the New York Giants and is clearly the franchise quarterback going forward. The 2025 first-round pick is coming off three straight performances of 19+ points per game and should get a large return in a potential trade.
The reason why we’re advising you to trade the rookie quarterback is that he has now lost the two best weapons, Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo.
In addition, the Giants still have the seventh-hardest remaining strength schedule in the league. With the team out of the playoff hunt and Brian Daboll most likely knowing he will be let go this offseason, we’re expecting Dart to take a slight dip in the second half of the season.
Trade For Aaron Rodgers
The Pittsburgh Steelers might have lost two straight games, but Aaron Rodgers is hardly to blame for these struggles. The all-time great quarterback has completed close to 70% of his passes for eight touchdowns and two interceptions in his past three games.
And two of these contests have come against elite defenses from the Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers. The Steelers are still first in the AFC North, so Rodgers has plenty to play for in the second half of this football year.
Therefore, barring any health setbacks, the 41-year-old should continue to grow into this season as he has in years past and become a potential fantasy starter in most leagues.
Trade Away Breece Hall

Breece Hall is coming off by far his best performance of the season, rushing for 133 yards and two touchdowns last Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The New York Jets launched an epic comeback to win their first game of the Aaron Glenn era, largely thanks to their star running back’s 32.9 point fantasy performance.
The reason why you should deal the fourth-year tailback now is because Bengals have the worst rushing defense in the NFL, meaning that Hall’s value likely won’t be any higher than it is right now.
Trade For Rashid Shaheed

The New Orleans Saints have a new quarterback under center, and rookie Tyler Shough has already shown a preference for one wide receiver on this roster.
Rashid Shaheed was targeted eight times during the second half of the Saints’ 23-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which is by far his highest target rate this year.
Coming off just three 10+ point fantasy performances this season, Shaheed will not generate that much in return. At least not right now.
Trade Away David Njoku

David Njoku used to be a reliable TE1 in fantasy leagues, but the 29-year-old is seeing the ball less due to uneven quarterback play and the rise of Harold Fannin Jr. That being said, the ninth-year tight end has put up 13+ points in two of the past three weeks.
Nonetheless, despite the Cleveland Browns’ poor schedule to close out the season, dealing Njoku immediately is the right call, given his inconsistency throughout 2025 and his current value.
Tottenham, meanwhile, will need to strengthen their squad following back-to-back 17th-placed finishes in the Premier League, with new head coach Roberto De Zerbi looking to make quick moves in the window to put together a group he thinks can challenge towards the top of the table, rather than the bottom.
Alex Scott enjoyed a fine season for Bournemouth

The 22-year-old was a regular starter under Andoni Iraola, only missing the final game of the season, named in the starting lineup for 34 of the 37 other matches in the Premier League. He scored three goals – with another coming in the FA Cup – and made one assist, picking up the Supporters’ Player of the Year award.
GIVEMESPORT senior football correspondent Ben Jacobs said last month: “Tottenham are one of the clubs looking at Bournemouth’s Alex Scott.
“He’s on Manchester United’s radar too, but once again, as I’ve said many times, Bournemouth are calm about that situation and are hoping to offer Scott a new deal.”
However, as time has moved on, it may be that Scott is now available to complete a move away from the Vitality Stadium this summer, with a report from the Athletic stating that “an extension is seen as unlikely”.
How much Bournemouth will demand to sell Scott
Alex Scott
The Athletic report goes on to state that United have made inquiries as to the cost of a deal, with Scott having just two years left to run on his current deal on the south coast. It is thought Bournemouth would demand around £60million to even consider selling the midfielder who has been described as “elite” by Nigel Pearson, who was his manager at Bristol City before moving to Bournemouth.
Pearson said: “He’s a unique talent. I’ve heard him compared to lots of players, but Alex is just a top-class young player who has a very level head. He will go on to play for England, I have absolutely no doubt about that. He is destination elite.”
Spurs may hold an advantage over United, should they look to pursue a move, given Scott grew up as a Tottenham fan.
Speaking after scoring against Arsenal, he said: “Yes, I support Tottenham, though that doesn’t have much to do with today. But growing up as a kid, it was definitely a dream for me [to score against Arsenal]. Bournemouth are my team at the minute but I was a Tottenham fan growing up, so as a kid growing up, I would have been really happy with that.”

It’s widely understood that Spanish giants Real Madrid have agreed a contract with Jose Mourinho to become their next manager. Once this news is officially confirmed, it won’t take long before the Portuguese coach starts pushing for some key transfers.
He is set to return to the Spanish capital for the second time in his career, having left way back in 2013, after three seasons in which he won both La Liga and the Copa del Rey. Mourinho spent last season at Benfica, where he went unbeaten in the league, but only finished third.
With Madrid, the 63-year-old arrives at a club in chaos after a trophyless season saw Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa struggle to deal with the big superstars in the dressing room. Mourinho is unlikely to be concerned by the big egos in the squad. However, one of his first key transfer targets isn’t quite the usual Galactico fans might expect.
Mourinho Wants Relegated Premier League Star
One of the defining dramas of the season for Madrid last season was Aurelien Tchouameni’s dramatic clash with Fede Valverde, which saw the Uruguayan hospitalised and both men fined for their antics. If Mourinho wants to calm the dressing room, he could look to offload one.
Indeed, according to journalist Ramon Alvarez, Mourinho ‘has told’ Real Madrid that he would like the club to sign West Ham United ace Mateus Fernandes this summer. The Hammers need to sell their most valuable assets this summer after being relegated, and the midfielder is of interest to a number of clubs.
Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester United have been strongly linked with the former Southampton star in the past few weeks, amid talk that any transfer could cost as much as £80m. Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Fernandes.
Rodri Also Linked With Madrid Interest
It’s worth noting that even if Tchouameni stays, Dani Ceballos wants to leave and Madrid are willing to let him go. His contract expires in 2027, so an exit this summer makes sense as they could still bring in a fee for the 29-year-old.
As such, Mourinho will likely want a midfield reinforcement regardless. One other name to be linked, beyond Fernandes, is Manchester City midfielder Rodri. The Spain international, 29, is heading into the final year of his Man City contract, and it remains to be seen if he will hang around or follow Pep Guardiola out of the exit door.
Reports claim that Mourinho is ‘very keen’ on bringing Rodri to Madrid. That said, having seen their manager depart, the Premier League club will be reluctant to lose another experienced head on the pitch, with Bernardo Silva and John Stones also confirming their exits this summer.
