Tottenham Eyeing Kenan Yildiz Move Amid Kudus Injury Update
Tottenham are firmly in the race to sign Kenan Yildiz from Juventus, according to Alasdair Gold of Football London.
Spurs are looking for attacking reinforcements as they look to bolster Thomas Frank’s forward line ahead of the second half of the campaign.
Currently, in the bottom half of the table, Tottenham have serious work to do if they’re to qualify for Europe this time around.
Having already sold Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace for £35million this month and losing Mohammed Kudus, Spurs are struggling for attacking threat having failed to score from open play in almost 10 hours.
Tottenham Join Kenan Yildiz Chase
Tottenham’s search for a new forward has led them to Turin with Kenan Yildiz a target.
Writing for Football London, Alasdair Gold wrote: “Tottenham are among the long line of clubs interested in Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz but Italian media believe the 20-year-old is set to sign a new contract in Turin.”
A left-sided forward, the 20-year-old has scored 23 goals and provided 18 assists in 108 appearances for Juventus, having progressed through the Bayern Munich youth ranks.
Hailed as a ‘future Ballon d’Or winner’, Yildiz has a contract that runs until the summer of 2029, with clubs circling to offer him improved terms.
But as per Gold’s update, it’s believed that the winger could still sign a new deal with the Serie A giants.
Tottenham Need Goals
While a deal to sign Yildiz could be hard to pull off, it shouldn’t detract from how desperate Tottenham are for attacking reinforcements.
Goals have been really hard to come by for Thomas Frank’s side this term with injuries and a lack of form leading to a somewhat blunt attack and a side who are languishing in mid-table.
Letting Johnson leave might prove to be the right decision in the long run, but as a player who has a decent goalscoring record for both Spurs and Nottingham Forest, it feels like a gamble to let him leave when options are so limited.
With Frank under increasing pressure in north London, Tottenham need to recruit well in January and that means signing a forward who can find the back of the net. The frustration is how many forwards are already at the club with none of them proving themselves as reliable options in terms of form or fitness.

The Red Devils are in the market for midfielders, and they have reached a full agreement to sign Atalanta star Ederson in the summer transfer window.
It appears that the Brazilian international isn’t the only midfielder who is going to be arriving through the door at Old Trafford before the window closes in September.
The Manchester club are heavily focusing on reinforcements in the middle of the park after Casemiro left the club earlier this summer.
An injury to Manuel Ugarte isn’t going to impact their plans, according to David Ornstein, with Mateus Fernandes their immediate priority.

Midfielder Heads to Man Utd for Medical
According to a report from The Athletic, young midfielder Cristian Orozco has travelled to Manchester to undergo a medical at Manchester United ahead of his move from Fortaleza CF.
The 17-year-old will officially become a United player when he turns 18 next month, with a deal agreed back in September.
The youngster turns 18 in July, and he’s represented Colombia at under-17 level, playing his domestic football in the Colombian top flight.
Orozco is unlikely to come in and become a first-team signing for United at the moment, considering his age. There’s no doubt they’re likely to sign another midfielder this summer.
It looks set to be a busy few weeks for United as they look to get multiple deals over the line.
