Tinubu will lose before 10 a.m. on election day – Ex-ADC spokesman predicts

Published

The immediate past publicity secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State, Comrade Saidu Bello Said, has said Nigerians will ensure the All Progressives Congress (APC) loses the next general election early on election day.

Speaking in an interview with DAILY POST, Said claimed that growing dissatisfaction with governance would shape voters’ decisions, adding that Nigerians are increasingly aware of the country’s situation and would express their views at the ballot box.

He said, “Nigerians will never vote for Tinubu in the coming election. They are tired. Democracy is not being respected.”

Said further predicted an early defeat for the ruling party, stating, “Tinubu will lose the election before 10:00 am. Whoever votes for Tinubu, especially in the North, will be found at the bottom of hell.”

Commenting on internal developments within the ADC in Kano following recent political realignments, including the defection of former NNPP leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, he said the party was working to reposition itself ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, “The party will get its house in order before 2027.”

He also criticised current economic policies, particularly the increase in fuel prices, questioning the justification for the hike.

“For example, fuel price has increased when there’s no reason for that,” he said. “Nigeria’s budget was pegged at $70, but with the recent war, it has increased. What is being done for Nigerians?”

Said urged citizens to view the 2027 elections as an opportunity for change, calling on them to “see 2027 as a time to save themselves from the clutches of APC”.

Why Nigerians would reelect Tinubu in 2027 – Akwa Ibom gov, Eno

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, on Tuesday said Nigerians would reelect President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027.

Eno explained that Tinubu has made funding available to state governors to embark on projects.

In an interview on Arise Television, the governor stated that Tinubu has stabilized the naira against the dollar.

He said: “First of all, Tinubu has made funding available for us to do all of the projects we have done, 1,300 kilometers of roads and to have been able to put up 458 compassionate homes to be able to support 12, 000 elders to be able to built hospitals in all the 31 local government areas, to be able to modern schools that are solar powered.

“Look at the tax reforms and the benefits to the people, look at the dollars that is now stable from when he took over, look at our foreign reserves; you will know that there is enough reasons for Akwa Ibom and Nigerians to return him to finish the job that he has started.”

On if he would work for Tinubu’s reelection in 2027, Eno said: “We trust God and with God on our side, I’m an advent believer in the God factor, Akwa Ibom is up for Tinubu and the APC.

“We are on the ground and we just finished the primaries, I had 392,000 and the president had closed to 400,000.

“Apart from the governor, all the senators are APC, 24 out of the 26 members of the House of Assembly are APC. 30 out of the 31 Chairmen of the local governments are APC, local government councillors and maybe very few in one local government are APC.

“So these are the people in the field and on the ground working, so you believe that people will just sit down and allow one party to overrun us?

“I respect all the people but the more the merrier so that people can have a choice. I don’t have any fear, we are on the ground.”

2027: Why it’s evil to vote against Tinubu – Gov Oborevwori

Published

By

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has said it would be wrong for Delta residents to vote against President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, citing his family ties to the state.

Speaking on Arise Television on Tuesday, Oborevwori said Tinubu is the only potential presidential candidate with a direct affiliation to Delta State.

According to the governor, Tinubu’s relationship with the state through his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, makes him a natural choice for Delta voters.

“Bola Ahmed Tinubu, among the candidates that will emerge, is the only one that has affiliation to Delta State. People don’t even know that. Delta people are wise now,” he said.

Oborevwori described the President as an in-law to the state and argued that voting against him would amount to going against family interests.

Oborevwori also pointed to the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu’s reported ties to the Itsekiri ethnic group, expressing confidence that members of the group would support the President.

“The man is an in-law here. So, it will be evil to vote against your in-law. It’s a family affair.

“The people in Delta, they are saying that this is their own. So it’s not before they deceived them. Now they can’t deceive them again,” he said.

2027: Jonathan not power-hungry  – Former aide

Published

By

Jude Imagwe, former Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, has said that his principal is neither power-hungry nor power-drunk.

Imagwe made this statement during an interview on News Central Television.

He was reacting to the Taminu Turaki-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, declaring Jonathan as its presidential candidate ahead of the next year’s general elections.

The ex-presidential aide said there is no indication that Jonathan received, completed or submitted any nomination forms related to a 2027 presidential bid.

“One thing is clear. That is the fact that I do not think former President Jonathan is power-hungry or power-drunk.

“If he was power-hungry, he would not have relinquished power in 2015. I also do not think that President Jonathan is desperate to return back to Aso Rock because clearly he hasn’t forgotten anything there.

“I also know clearly that Jonathan is where he is today through several sacrifices, through commitment, through discipline, through resilience, and above all, through humility.

“But the unfortunate situation is that certain persons that have masqueraded themselves with dangerous ambition to perpetually want to remain on the airspace of public conversation as regards 2027, have chosen to begin to drag an innocent gentleman’s name who, for reasons too, has still not said anything about it.

“What is clear is that there is nobody that gets a nomination form that does not have his or her signature on it, and such instances are ceremonial.

“There is no pictorial evidences that suggest that any of these documents were done by the former president,” he said.
