18 Favourites to Sign Man Utd Star
After seeking respite from the turmoil he left behind at Manchester United with a season-long loan to Barcelona last season, Marcus Rashford now finds himself back in square one. What initially looked like the perfect chance to get his career back on track has instead proved to be little more than a temporary fix – a lick of paint over deeper cracks – after La Blaugrana opted against paying the £30 million fee to make the move permanent.
First, the 28-year-old will be hoping to make his mark for England as they aim to bring football home for the first time in 60 years at this summer’s World Cup. But before he knows it, Rashford will be back at Old Trafford, once again at a crossroads for his career, weighing up his next move. Fortunately for him, he won’t be short of suitors lining up for him, it seems.
With so many question marks still hanging over his future, Oddschecker have compiled a list of 18 clubs who could be willing to take a punt on the Carrington academy graduate this summer – and there are some genuinely intriguing destinations in the mix.
Marcus Rashford’s Next Club Betting Odds
18. Liverpool – 40/1
Liverpool need a winger. They need one so desperately, in fact, they’ve even been linked with a move to bring Darwin Nunez back to the club, and with Andoni Iraola favouring fast buildup play, what’s to say Rashford couldn’t be a success at Anfield?
17. Manchester City – 40/1
Unlike the aforementioned Liverpool, Man City are blessed with decent wide options, with Jeremy Doku and Antoine Semenyo their current starters. Adding Rashford for what would feel like the sake of it would be yet another example of the Cityzens boasting an embarrassment of riches.
16. Any MLS Club – 33/1
The MLS is something of a retirement home for the once-good Premier League footballer who doesn’t want to hang up their boots just yet. Well, that was until Lionel Messi made the switch to Inter Miami, and if they come knocking on Rashford’s door, he might be reluctant to say no, even if it would be accepting that his time at the top would be more than less over.
15. AC Milan – 33/1
Fellow Englishmen Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek play for AC Milan, making Rashford’s potential switch to the iconic San Siro fairly straightforward in terms of settling into the Italian way. That job offer would come with a redemption story for both parties, too.
Marcus Rashford vs Anthony Gordon – 2025/26 Stats Compared Amid Big Barcelona News
Both men are now battling it out for the left-wing position for club and country – but there’s a clear winner.
14. Chelsea – 25/1
Chelsea’s new owners can’t seem to stop buying wingers like they are going out of fashion. Alejandro Garnacho and Mykhailo Mudryk are just two examples of the club failing to bring in any decent ones, though, and signing Rashford comes with its own risks that the Blues’ free-spending hierarchy should probably avoid.
13. Real Madrid – 20/1
Should Rashford get the opportunity to sign for Barca’s direct rivals, then he would stage a reunion with Jose Mourinho. The risk is that, if the 27-year-old doesn’t meet the ever-so-lofty expectations of the Real Madrid fans, then the media in Spain’s capital are 10 times as brutal as they are in Catalonia, and it could ruin his confidence (just ask Jonathan Woodgate, or even Gareth Bale, despite the latter doing great things).
12. Arsenal – 20/1
Arsenal have long admired Rashford, and with Leandro Trossard heavily rumoured to leave the Gunners this summer, there is a vacancy for the England man to show north London what he’s got.
11. Any Saudi Pro League team – 20/1
The MLS, but richer. Rashford is surely too young to consider ditching European football just yet – but sometimes, money speaks louder than the heart could ever.
10. Atletico Madrid – 16/1
Rashford’s energetic performances hardly match Diego Simeone’s dark art ways of tournament football. What’s more, the one criticism he received more than any whilst in La Liga last season was that he was wasteful with his chances, despite managing eight goals and seven assists, mostly from the bench. With fewer opportunities at Atletico Madrid, this isn’t a match made in heaven at all.
9. Fenerbahce – 16/1
Turkish football is still a long way from matching the standards of Europe’s top five leagues, but with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray’s spending power in recent years, they can at least hope of that changing. Rashford would be a huge name in Istanbul, one that has commercial and performance value for Mourinho’s former side.
3 Barcelona Players Expressed ‘Concern’ at the Club Targeting Marcus Rashford
Pre-Aston Villa loan move, Marcus Rashford was on Barcelona’s radar – but three of Hansi Flick’s squad were against the signing.
8. Juventus – 16/1
Juventus, like Milan, have spent the last few years rebuilding. Rashford could be a marquee signing for a side that needs some energy out wide, and the Carrington Academy graduate could form an underrated frontline alongside Dusan Vlahovic and Kenan Yildiz.
7. Paris Saint-Germain – 16/1
Rashford has three goals and three assists in seven appearances versus Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in his career. If you can’t beat him, sign him – is that what they say?
6. Newcastle – 12/1
Anthony Gordon was snapped up by Barcelona, so if Rashford decided to go the other way, it could make for an exciting competition between the two England internationals. Which club made the right decision would be an interesting question to ask in a couple of seasons’ time.
5. Tottenham – 10/1
Tottenham are going to look like a completely different team next season. So many players will return from long-term injuries to play under Roberto De Zerbi – one of the best managers in the Premier League right now. Becoming the main character in a resurgence would be some way to help your reputation flourish again.
4. Aston Villa – 10/1
After taking a chance on Jadon Sancho – which failed spectacularly – it wouldn’t be like a club as well run as Aston Villa to go back in for seconds. But the current odds of just 10/1 suggest there is something there to monitor, and with the West Midlands side struggling with financial constraints, they might get a cut-throat deal for Rashford.
3. Bayern Munich – 5/2
Bayern Munich already have a super team at their fingertips. Rashford would be nothing more than a benchwarmer to Luis Diaz, you’d think. But in the same way Eric Dier was, perhaps he could be a good way to keep Harry Kane happy in Bavaria.
2. Barcelona – 4/1
Barcelona have ruled out paying the £30 million to make Rashford’s move permanent, but that’s not to say the Catalan giants won’t return for a loan agreement. That, according to several reports, is still on the cards, which would take the 28-year-old to his Man United contract expiry in June 2028.
1. Manchester United – 11/4
Whether it’s down to Michael Carrick seeing potential in him, or just the fact nobody wants to take a chance, Rashford’s most likely destination for next season is back at Old Trafford. The chances of him renewing his contract and staying beyond that point, however, are very slim.

Liverpool Target Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni as Konate Replacement
Liverpool are in the market for a new centre-back during the summer transfer window after it was confirmed that Ibrahima Konate would be leaving the club.
Konate departed Anfield and looks set to join La Liga side Real Madrid in the summer, with his contract at Liverpool expiring.
The French defender has been a mainstay in Liverpool’s defence in recent years, partnering Virgil van Dijk under both Arne Slot and Jurgen Klopp.
Konate has struggled for consistency at times, and Liverpool may have been looking to bring in a replacement this summer regardless. Konate’s departure has certainly pushed it higher up their priority list.
The Reds do have Jeremy Jacquet arriving this summer, after he was signed in January. It remains to be seen whether he will come in and be a guaranteed starter.

Liverpool Eyeing Centre-Back Signing
According to a report from Sports Boom, Liverpool have identified Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni as their ideal replacement for Konate heading into the summer transfer window.
The Merseyside club are believed to feel that Bastoni is open to a fresh challenge after spending his whole career in Italy so far.
Bastoni is intrigued by the prospect of testing himself in England, potentially opening the door for Liverpool to make a move to secure his signature.
It’s claimed that Bastoni is likely to cost in excess of £70 million, with Inter hoping to keep hold of him this summer.
Liverpool are now expected to test Inter Milan’s resolve as they prepare to make a move to sign the Italian defender.

Bastoni The Ideal Replacement for Liverpool
Bastoni could be the ideal replacement for Konate at Liverpool for multiple reasons.
The Italian defender, described as elite, has been labelled the best defender in the world previously, and there’s no doubt he’s up there with the best.
Bastoni is also left-footed, meaning he can provide balance in the back four alongside Van Dijk.
Having a left-footed defender as part of a defensive pairing is very beneficial, something Liverpool haven’t had the luxury of in recent years.
Bastoni is incredibly comfortable on the ball whilst also being a powerful, tough-tackling defender. There’s an argument to suggest that not only would he be a competent replacement for Konate, he would also be an upgrade.

Tottenham Offer Guglielmo Vicario For Gleison Bremer Swap Deal
Tottenham are incredibly busy in the summer transfer window already, but Tuttosport reports that a surprise swap deal could now be on the cards.
It comes as Spurs are looking to rebuild the squad to improve on their recent disappointing campaigns in the Premier League, with an initial focus on the backline.
Andy Robertson has been announced as the first deal of the summer, joining from Liverpool at the end of his contract, while Marcos Senesi is set to join shortly after on a free transfer from Bournemouth.
A new contract for Ben Davies keeps even more depth and leadership in the squad, while work is underway to sign Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton.
Despite that, another centre-back could be on the cards in a surprise swap deal.
Gleison Bremer Swap Deal
According to reports from Tuttosport, Tottenham are interested in a move for Juventus defender Gleison Bremer as an option to replace Cristian Romero this summer.
It’s claimed that Roberto De Zerbi is keen on the ‘monster’ centre-back, having seen his work during his time at Sassuolo, while the Brazilian is also open to a potential exit from Juventus.
A €58 million (£50 million) release clause exists in the 29-year-old’s deal that the Bianconeri can point to in transfer discussions, but Spurs may have a trick of their own.
The report adds that Tottenham are trying to lower that valuation in transfer discussions by offering Guglielmo Vicario as an option, in what could be a potential swap deal if discussions moved in that direction.
The goalkeeper has been linked with an exit from the North London club this summer, and has been outlined as a potential target for Juventus.
A €20 million (£17.25 million) has been placed on the Italian goalkeeper, and while the interest in Bremer may not necessarily lead to a swap deal, it is suggested as an option for Spurs.
It remains to be seen whether it is possible, but it would be quite a surprise move for the Lilywhites, for several different reasons.

Bremer Transfer Surprise
While Bremer has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past, a switch to Tottenham this summer would come as something of a surprise.
Even with exits expected for Romero and Radu Dragusin, Spurs are set to have plenty of centre-back options if they can get their current targets through the door.
Senesi and Van Hecke would be competing with the likes of Micky van de Ven, Kevin Danso, and Luka Vuskovic for minutes, while the pairing of Robertson and Davies could also function on the left-side of the central pair.
Throwing Bremer into the mix would only unbalance things even further, not least when Tottenham don’t have the schedule to justify such strength in depth for one specific area.
Alongside Savinho: Tottenham Set to Submit £60m Bid to Sign Top Star for De Zerbi
Spurs are already making waves in the summer transfer window
Adding Vicario in for a potential swap deal may also be a surprise, as Spurs would likely reinvest anything into another goalkeeper to compete with Antonin Kinsky.
The goalkeeper does look set for an exit, however, even despite De Zerbi describing Vicario as a “top player” during his stint at the club so far.
Even if that is the case, he may not end up at Juventus, because recent reports have suggested that their priority will be Aston Villa ace Emiliano Martinez.
It remains to be seen if there is a twist in the tale that will see a swap deal occur, but it would be quite the surprise if so.

Premier League Clubs Plan to Sue if Man City Found Guilty of 115 Charges
It has been revealed this week that Everton must pay £40m to Burnley after The Toffees lost a legal battle over PSR issues. Following this financial punishment of one Premier League club, the potential outcome of Manchester City’s 115 charges case has also come into focus.
The Etihad outfit are alleged to have violated financial regulations and could face severe punishment. While point deductions, fines and transfer bans have been discussed, there will also be a key focus on what action rival Premier League sides will take if Man City are found guilty.
In the recent case between Everton and Burnley, the Clarets argued that if the points deduction had happened in 2022 – the year they were relegated – Everton would have gone down instead. This would have obviously had a major impact on the two clubs’ finances, hence why further retrospective punishment was taken this week, with the Toffees told to pay out £40m.
Every Premier League Winner if Man City Are Stripped of Titles – Arsenal Won’t Get Any
Several teams could win belated league titles if Man City are found guilty over their 115 charges, but Mikel Arteta’s men still wouldn’t get a trophy.
Everton Punishment Could Set Legal Precedent
The Everton punishment news was broken by The Lawyer. That same outlet has also revealed how this could be a sign of things to come with regard to the Man City case. A report notes:
“The Premier League’s rules allow for clubs to seek compensation from other clubs for rule breaches that cause them loss.” While adding: “Damages in these cases are typically calculated by taking into account the value of the lost opportunity and the likelihood of success.”
As such, some Premier League clubs may well aim to seek compensation from Manchester City if they are found guilty of any breaches. The article said ‘Manchester City and its rivals will be closely following the appeal and any legal precedent it sets’ before then explaining what those teams are planning to do, should the opportunity arise:
“Several Premier League clubs are understood to have lined up legal counsel to sue City for compensation, should it be found to have breached League rules in the 115 charges case brought against it.”
How Premier League Clubs Could Sue Man City For Millions
As an example of how one Premier League side could look to sue Man City for compensation, SheWore have written up a hypothetical for what some teams could be owed. The article notes that ‘based on the Burnley judgement, both Arsenal and Manchester United could make the case that they suffered a loss of earnings due to Man City finishing ahead of them.’
As Premier League teams get ‘prize money’ depending on where they finish, certain clubs could well argue that they have missed out on millions due to Man City’s alleged crimes. For example, SheWore point out that Man City finished fourth in 2015/16, level on points with Manchester United but above them on goal difference. As such, they qualified for the Champions League ahead of their rivals, earning £50m from being in the competition the next year.
As the 115 charges relate largely to a range of alleged financial rule breaches between 2009 and 2018, should they be found guilty, there could be a huge number of cases made against Man City with regard to retrospective compensation. It remains unclear when a verdict will be reached, but certain insiders expect it to be soon.
