Crystal Palace Set to Beat Nottingham Forest to ‘Explosive’ Winger
Crystal Palace are reportedly set to beat Oliver Glasner’s Nottingham Forest to the signing of Union Saint-Gilloise winger Anan Khalaili.
The Eagles headed into this summer’s transfer window with a new manager at the helm following Glasner’s departure at the end of last season. Steve Parish and his board turned to Pierre Sage, whose stock had grown in French football after an impressive reign at Lens.
There hasn’t been much transfer activity at Selhurst Park despite the change in manager, with Oscar Mingueza and Takehiro Tomiyasu joining as free agents. They have reportedly agreed on a £11m deal to sign Real Salt Lake winger Zavier Gogo, who is set to undergo a medical.
Khalaili Set to Join Crystal Palace
Palace are starting to make moves though, and Israeli outlet ONE_CO_IL (via journalist Raz Amir) reports that Palace are set to sign Khalaili, who has had several Premier League clubs chasing his signature. The pacey winger was set to join Inter Milan earlier this summer for €28 million (£17m) but failed a medical with the Serie A giants, who pulled the plug.
With less strict rules regarding a player’s fitness and medical assessments in place in England, Khalaili looks to be headed to Selhurst Park. He has been on Forest’s radar, but Glasner appears set to miss out on the player to his former employers.
Bournemouth and Newcastle United have also been linked with the 21-year-old, who has impressed in the Belgian Pro League. He particularly caught the eye during Union Saint-Gilloise’s Champions League campaign last season and scouts talking up his pacey profile:
“The Israeli international is well suited to this position thanks to his pace which has marked him out as one of the quickest in the Champions League. Scouts in France and Holland are now taking note of Khalaili. There are plenty in Israeli media claiming Khalaili could be the international face of Israeli football.”

While there’s no mention of a fee, you’d expect a deal to cost in the same region as the money Inter had agreed to pay for the player until he failed a medical. Should a deal be finalised in the coming days, he could make his debut in Palace’s season-opening clash with Everton on August 22nd.
Palace Could Land a Third Wide Man
Palace appear keen to bolster Sage’s wide attacking options and Khalaili might not be the only winger to arrive in South London. The club are reportedly working on a swap deal with Everton which would see Dwight McNeil arrive in exchange for Brennan Johnson.
McNeil had been on the Eagles’ radar in January but missed out on a move which led to frustration. It appears Johnson’s time is already up despite only arriving at Selhurst Park in the winter transfer window for a hefty £35m.

There will be question marks over where Khalaili, dubbed “explosive”, fits into Sage’s team given he’s a right-winger by trade but can be deployed as a right wing-back. He might be used rotationally and offer backup to Ismaila Sarr and Daniel Munoz on the right.
Amir suggested that Munoz might be moved into central defence or potentially head for the exit door. He noted Chelsea and Inter as clubs potentially interested in the Colombian who has been superb throughout the years.
Rangers are in talks with Aston Villa over a move to sign defender Kosta Nedeljkovic on loan for the season, according to a report.
The Ibrox club have signed nine players already this summer with Lawrence Shankland, Cammy Devlin, Ben Godfrey, Dan Neil, Ross McCrorie, Daisuke Yokota, Olwethu Makhanya, Vanja Dragojevic, and Ivor Pandur all joining new manager Derek McInnes at the club.
Rangers are also on the verge of completing a £7m deal to sign winger Couhaib Driouech from PSV Eindhoven, but after losing captain James Tavernier at the end of last season when his contract expired, they are still in the hunt to add to their full-back department before the September 1st deadline.
Rangers Eyeing Aston Villa Starlet
Nedeljkovic, who has previously been described as ‘tremendous’, has been on the brink of a first-team breakthrough at Villa Park in recent times, and spent the last season-and-a-half on loan at Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig.
However, injuries and a change of managers have seen him restricted to just 17 appearances in that time for the German outfit, and now he has returned to Aston Villa to be part of Unai Emery’s side during pre-season.
But according to TEAMtalk, Rangers are now in discussions about a deal to take the 20-year-old to Glasgow to bolster their defensive options, and also give the Serbian some regular first-team football.
Unai Emery is understood to be a big fan of the defender, but views him more as a player for the future rather than someone who can compete with Matty Cash for a starting spot at this stage of his development.
The lightning-fast star is allowed to depart temporarily this summer, and Rangers are in talks to convince them about sending him to Ibrox. Discussions are still at an early stage and there is no agreement in place. Rangers would be open to a permanent deal or loan with a buy option, but Villa would need convincing to sanction that.

Nedeljkovic Very Highly-Rated
Rangers have started their season poorly, failing to win any of their first three games of the 2026/27 campaign, and the manager has admitted that he needs further reinforcements to get the team where he wants it to be.
Nedeljkovic has got experience at the highest level, and upon signing for RB Leipzig, Marcel Schafer sang his praises.
“We wanted to add further reinforcements to our squad in preparation for the months to come,” he said.
Kosta is the prime example of a full-back who works hard on the right wing, in addition to bringing speed, an attacking mindset and an excellent mentality to the table. He is strong in the tackles, good at winning possession and has an excellent understanding of the game.
Manchester United are eyeing up a move to sign RB Leipzig star David Raum this summer after being told Lewis Hall is not for sale.
The Reds have made a new left-back a priority in the final weeks of the window as they look for competition for Luke Shaw, who has now entered the final year of his contract at Old Trafford. Newcastle star Hall has been internally approved as a top target, but the Magpies have made it clear he won’t be sold this summer after a string of high-profile exits at St James’ Park.
United retain an interest in the England international but are now diverting their attention to alternative targets for this summer, and Raum is someone who they are keen on.
Raum Says Yes to Man Utd Move
Raum, who has been described as ‘one of the Bundesliga’s best left-backs’, has been a regular at RB Leipzig in recent seasons, but has now entered the final year of his contract.
The Germany international has a release clause worth around £34m in his deal which has alerted clubs to his situation, but according to TEAMtalk, intermediaries believe a deal could be possible for less than £30m in this window.
The 28-year-old has previously held talks with Man Utd about a move to Old Trafford, and it’s understood that he has given his green light to any potential move, and is ready to compete with Shaw to become the first-choice left-back.
United’s priority is finding a new left-back who can help the squad be competitive in a number of competitions after they qualified for the Champions League, and Raum’s contract situation means he is one of the most intriguing options available to them.
Jason Wilcox has all-but admitted defeat in his pursuit of Hall for this window, and the recruitment team are now expected to step up their push for a new left-back in the final weeks of the window.

Raum Loved by Vivell
Raum has been around the block, and at 28 would be joining the squad with great experience at the highest level, having been capped by Germany 39 times since 2021.
Man Utd’s director of recruitment is someone who knows Raum well, having worked with him at RB Leipzig, and he couldn’t help but sing his praises when asked back in 2024.
“David has developed brilliantly in the past two years and established himself as a regular for club and country during his first season in the Bundesliga. He’s quick, dynamic, can strike the ball and is extremely dangerous from set pieces and crosses.”

The Gunners are working hard to bolster their first-team after claiming their first Premier League title in 22 years last season, while they also reached the Champions League final. Mikel Arteta has built a squad with a core of talent from the Hale End Academy, including the likes of Bukayo Saka, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Max Dowman.
The north London giants are keen to ensure that the pathway remains well stocked with rising talent, and midfielder Bradbury has now emerged as someone they are looking to add to their roster of talent.
Sources: Arsenal Bids for Bradbury Rejected
GIVEMESPORT sources understand that Arsenal have had two bids rejected by Wolves for midfielder Bradbury in this transfer window.
The 19-year-old central midfielder is into the final year of his contract at Molineux after the club triggered an option in his deal to extend by 12 months. Arsenal are looking to strengthen their Under-21 squad for the upcoming season, and view Bradbury as an ideal addition.
But the teenager has signed a professional contract with the club, which means a fee must be agreed between Arsenal and Wolves for a transfer to happen.
Arsenal are not the only club showing an interest in the Wales youth international, and it is currently unclear if they would be willing to return to the negotiation table with a third offer.
Wolves do not want to let Bradbury leave having been relegated to the Championship last season, making any deal difficult to do, but Arsenal want to add to their youth team options and remain interested if they receive any encouragement.
