2027: E go red, we’ll take battle to your bedroom – Wike’s loyalist threatens Amaechi [VIDEO]
Former Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Dr Samuel Okechukwu Nwanosike, popularly known as Ishi Nwanosike, has said it will be difficult for the African Democratic Congress, ADC, vice presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, to win the forthcoming general election in the state.
Nwanosike, a loyalist of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, made the statement in a viral video from an event.
He claimed that the people of Ikwerre had derived little benefit from Amaechi despite the former governor having occupied several political positions over the past two decades.
According to him, the political battle ahead of the 2027 elections in Rivers State would go beyond the streets, warning that the contest would be taken to the former governor’s “bedroom”.
Nwanosike’s comments come amid growing political tension in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, “Amaechi was in the house of Assembly two times, Ikwerre people supported him to be governor two times and he was a minister for two tenures.
“Instead of helping the Ikwerre people, he decided to destroy even his friends. Yet he believes that it’s only him that is from the Ikwerre Local Government.
“We are here to tell the world and his political faction that until the Supreme Court decides which faction of the ADC is to be recognized by INEC, they should not bother coming home. E go red.
“We will bring the battle to their bedroom not the street.”

Osun Guber: APC chieftain, Joe Igbokwe reveals ‘unbelievable’ mistake Adeleke made
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, has criticised Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the Accord Party ahead of the governorship election.
Igbokwe described Adeleke’s decision as an “unbelievable mistake,” arguing that the governor should have joined the ruling APC, particularly given President Bola Tinubu’s family ties to Osun State.

2027: I don’t need to be campaign DG to deliver Rivers, FCT for Tinubu – Wike
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dismissed reports that he is lobbying to become the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Wike said he does not need any position in the President’s campaign structure to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The Minister made his position known in a statement issued on Monday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.
Reacting to reports that listed him among those being considered or lobbying for the campaign DG position, Wike described the claim as false.
He said he had not discussed either the leadership or membership of the Presidential Campaign Council with anyone.
“I do not need to be the DG or even a member of the Presidential Campaign Council of Mr President’s political party to contribute my quota by ensuring that he wins handsomely in Rivers State and the FCT,” Wike said.
The former Rivers State governor said his commitment to Tinubu’s re-election remained firm.
He added that his priority was to continue supporting the President’s agenda.
Wike also disclosed that he was currently outside Nigeria, where he was taking a break after spending more than 30 days commissioning projects, flagging off new projects and inspecting ongoing ones.
He said he would return to continue with the delivery of the FCT mandate in line with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Wike, upon his return, said he would continue to implement the administration’s mandate under the Renewed Hope Agenda while working to strengthen Tinubu’s electoral support in Rivers State and the FCT.
“My support for President Tinubu is not tied to holding any position in the campaign council. My focus is to ensure that Mr President records a strong electoral victory in Rivers State and the FCT,” he said.

Tinubu won’t win in 2027 – Kenneth Okonkwo
Kenneth Okonkwo, campaign spokesperson for African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has declared that President Bola Tinubu will not win in the 2027 election.
Okonkwo, who spoke in an interview on Symfoni TV, stressed that after the 2027 election, Tinubu will be gone.
According to him, the path is clear for Atiku to win the election.
The Nollywood star-turned-politician described the Tinubu administration as the worst in the history of Nigeria, claiming that without rigging, the President will not win any state.
“When we campaigned for the 2023 general elections, we had no governor. We had nothing, and Tinubu did not win more states than us.
“Now that he is the worst President Nigeria has ever had, do you think he will win any state without rigging? Tinubu will not win any state. So the path to victory is very clear. And by the grace of God, we will win,” he said.
