Manchester United have held talks over a ‘stunning’ deal to sign Real Madrid forward Endrick this summer.

The Red Devils are keen to add more firepower to their squad amid question marks over the futures of Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford, with the club keen to ensure they are not short on options after qualifying for the Champions League for the first time since the 2023/24 season.

Michael Carrick is understood to be open to bringing in a new forward, but after missing out on top target Crysencio Summerville after he opted to join Saudi side Al Hilal instead, a surprise deal has now been put on the table for them.

Endrick is now contemplating a departure from the Bernabeu after their recent transfer business.

The Brazil international, described as a ‘game-changer’, spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Lyon in Ligue 1 and registered an impressive eight goals and eight assists in 21 games for the French side, earning a place in the World Cup squad under Carlo Ancelotti.

The 20-year-old had been set to return to Real Madrid to be part of Jose Mourinho’s squad for the upcoming season, but the Portuguese boss has since sanctioned moves for striker Carlos Espi and winger Yan Diomande, while Vinicius Jr has signed a long-term contract extension, putting his future with the club in doubt.

TEAMtalk report that the forward’s camp have begun reaching out to potential landing spots as he looks for regular football this upcoming season, and the Premier League has emerged as his preferred destination.

Man Utd are one of the clubs who have been contacted, and talks have taken place over the terms of a deal. Real Madrid are only willing to sanction a loan deal, but Man Utd have made it clear during discussions that they would only proceed if there was a buy option included in the arrangement.

Ancelotti: Endrick is ‘Spectacular’

Endrick has struggled for regular game time since moving to Real Madrid in July 2024, having been signed in December 2022 as a 16-year-old in a stunning €72m (£61.7m) deal.

But despite his battles for minutes at the Bernabeu, he is still very highly thought of within the walls of the Spanish capital. Ancelotti, who is now his manager at national team level, previously spoke about the qualities he possesses, describing him as ‘spectacular’.

Newcastle United have entered the race to sign Man City star Omar Marmoush ahead of Tottenham and Barcelona this summer, according to reports.

The Magpies have seen their squad ripped apart this summer after missing out on European football, with Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and manager Eddie Howe all departing, with new manager Matthias Jaissle now facing a major rebuild just weeks before the campaign begins.

Newcastle have completed several deals this summer, including for forward Bazoumana Toure from Hoffenheim in attack, but the club are still on the lookout for more firepower in attack to help fire them up the table, and one top star has now emerged as a prime target.

Newcastle Eyeing Marmoush Deal

Marmoush, who earns a reported £250,000-a-week at the Etihad Stadium, joined the club in January 2024 in a deal worth €75m (£59m), but has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular ahead of Erling Haaland.

The Egyptian is understood to be keen to play more regular football, but wants to stay in the Premier League, and Newcastle have now emerged as a potential destination for him this summer, according to Caught Offside.

Man City have put a €65m (£55.7m) asking price on his head, and Newcastle would be able to match that asking price after bringing in around £245m from their sales in this window. Those sales mean they are understood to be best-placed to pay the money needed to get a deal done, despite competition from big-spending Spurs and Spanish giants Barcelona.

Some doubts have emerged over the future of Nick Woltemade, with reports stating he has been told he can leave on loan in this window, while Yoane Wissa managed just three goals in all competitions following his £60m move from Brentford last summer.

Marmoush has scored 16 goals in 61 appearances for Man City, but has found most of his minutes coming off the substitutes’ bench under Pep Guardiola.

Marmoush a ‘Special’ Player

Marmoush enjoyed a stunning campaign at Frankfurt prior to joining City, with Guardiola convinced by watching him score 20 goals in 26 games up to January before he left.

But while he never established himself as an undisputed starter under the iconic Catalan coach, Guardiola did praise him earlier this year and labelled him as a ‘special’ player.

“Last season when he arrived for three months he was unbelievable; without him it would not be possible to qualify for the Champions League and reach the FA Cup final,” said Guardiola.

“His dynamic energy and runs are really good. I see him more as a striker not a proper winger. He’s a guy for transition actions.

“I am so happy for him. He arrived clean after AFCON, and I am so pleased for him.”

Youri Tielemans made his Manchester United debut on Saturday afternoon in a friendly against Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenburg, and fans have revealed exactly what they made of their new signing’s display.

The Red Devils were held by the reigning European champions, with Bryan Mbeumo’s strike cancelling out an early goal from Ibrahim Mbaye. United’s team consisted of a mismatch of first-team players and academy prospects, as Michael Carrick’s men stepped up their preparations for the new season.

The likes of Mbeumo, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Amad Diallo all started, while Leny Yoro, Bruno Fernandes and Tielemans featured off the bench.

The performances were mixed across the board, but Tielemans, who signed from Aston Villa for £35 million earlier this month, impressed in a red and black shirt.

Carrick will be delighted with what his new midfielder had to offer, with the Belgium international arguably boasting the blend of attributes on the ball that United have been crying out for for years.

Man Utd Fans React to Youri Tielemans’ Debut

United fans are notoriously critical of their own players, but have shown surprising leniency to recent recruits. Red Devils followers produced glowing reviews of Andrey Santos’ debut last month, and they were similarly optimistic about what they saw from Tielemans against PSG.

Taking to social media, many United supporters waxed lyrical about their new number 18’s showing.
