2027: ADC’s Kpautagi unveils Bosso as running mate, rejects propaganda campaign in Niger
The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Niger State, Dr Mohammed Kpautagi, has unveiled former Commissioner of Works, Mamman Musa Bosso, as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election, declaring that the party will run an issue-based campaign focused on solutions rather than propaganda, intimidation and hatred.
Kpautagi made the declaration at the IBB Pen House, Minna, while formally presenting Bosso as the party’s Deputy Governorship candidate.

Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, has allegedly attacked the All Progressives Congress, APC House of Representatives candidate for the Ifelodun, Boripe and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, Francis Eniade, barely two days before the Osun governorship election.
A viral picture released on X on Wednesday showed Eniade in a pool of blood.

Osun election is between Adeleke, Tinubu – Dele Momodu
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dele Momodu, says the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State is a contest between incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke and President Bola Tinubu.
Momodu stated this on Wednesday when he appeared as a guest in an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’.

Appeal Court affirms Prof Gombe as national leader of SDP
The Court of Appeal in Abuja has again affirmed Prof Abubakar Sadiq Gombe as the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, thereby laying to rest the long drawn legal battle on the soul of the party.
The appellate court in a unanimous decision delivered on Wednesday, by a three-man panel led by Justice Fadawu Umaru voided the Federal High Court judgment that had recognised the expelled Shehu Gabam as chairman.
