NFL: Every 2026 Home Jersey Ranked From Worst to Best
Soon, fans up and down America and throughout the world will be putting on their colours and repping their NFL teams once again on Sunday nights as the new season rolls around.
While, ultimately, like any sport, it’s all about the winning, it doesn’t hurt to look good doing it too. That’s why we’ve asked AI to rank every home jersey in the NFL, going through every single one of the 32 teams vying to make it to the Super Bowl, from worst to the best.
Home jerseys are the colours that define a franchise. There are even rules in place from the league that dictate how long teams must keep their current uniforms, setting a period of five years, ensuring a sense of continuity and also protecting fans from having to buy a new kit every season.
That means the stakes when it comes to getting it right couldn’t be higher as, after all, who wants to be lumbered with an ugly design for that long?
It’s now less than a month until the 2026 NFL season gets underway, with the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Seahawks, opening their defence against Drake Maye and the Patriots.
It promises to be a season packed with storylines: just how well is Patrick Mahomes going to come back from injury, and will he be able to lead the Chiefs back into the playoffs? How far can the Ravens go with new coach Jesse Minter, as a brand-new era begins in Baltimore? Is this finally the year for Josh Allen and the Bills?
While those are not questions that can be answered today, there is one question that can be: who has the best uniform in the NFL this season?

Denver Broncos
Under Sean Payton, playing in their distinctive orange, the Broncos fell at the final hurdle before the Super Bowl last season. In the AFC Championship game, they lost 10-7 to the New England Patriots, having defeated Josh Allen and the Bills and Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars on their path there. It was still a hugely impressive season for Denver, who finished with a 14-3 record, matching their highest win total in their history, as well as earning themselves the #1 seed in the AFC.
Going into 2026, the franchise, which is part owned by F1 superstar, Lewis Hamilton, will be hoping to go one better. Quarterback Bo Nix and co. kick things off against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in a clash which is regarded as one of the best rivalries in the NFL. The Broncos completed their first sweep of the Chiefs since 2014 in the 2025 season, winning 22-19 and 20-13.
The verdict: The 2024 redesign remains one of the best modern NFL redesigns. Tons of Colorado-specific detail without becoming gimmicky.

Miami Dolphins
Matching their team name, the Dolphins‘ home jersey is aqua and appropriate in more ways than one, considering the franchise has rather been sinking rather than swimming in recent seasons. The current logo of the dolphin swimming in front of an orange sunburst was introduced before the 2013 NFL Draft, replacing a dolphin wearing a football helmet that had been the team’s identity since its 1966 inception.
On the field, the Dolphins have not reached the playoffs since 2023 and enter the 2026 season on the back of consecutive losing seasons – 8-9 in 2024 and 7-10 in 2025. This season marks their first under Jeff Hafley and general manager, Jon-Eric Sullivan, as well as a first since 2019 without Tua Tagovailoa as quarterback. Instead, Malik Willis looks set to be the starting QB, having joined from the Green Bay Packers in the off-season.
The verdict: One of the most visually distinctive jerseys in the league. The aqua practically glows on TV.

Washington Commanders
The Commanders unveiled a fully redesigned uniform closet for 2026, stating it to be inspired by their franchise history. That includes a Super Bowl Era Burgundy Jersey, which is the franchise’s home uniform. Between 1982 and 1991, Washington – then known as the Redskins – appeared in three Super Bowls and won four of them. Since then, though, they have struggled to get back there with just five playoff wins to their name and four division titles.
The Commanders had a very impressive 2024 season, led by rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels. They finished with a 12-5 record as Daniels set the record for the most rushing yards by a rookie QB in the history of the NFL. Finishing second in the NFC East, they ended up losing the NFC Championship game to the Eagles. The 2025 season was vastly different, featuring an eight-game losing streak as the Commanders suffered with injuries to key players. They finished with a 5-12 record and will hope to fare far better in 2026.
The verdict: The 2026 return to the Super Bowl-era aesthetic was exactly what Washington needed. Gold plus burgundy is a killer combination.

Houston Texans
The Texans are one of the newer franchises in the NFL, founded in 1999 after Houston’s previous franchise, the Oilers, left for Nashville. They ended up playing as an expansion team in 2002, which makes them the youngest franchise in the entire league. Their uniforms date back to 2024, with the home strip coloured a ‘deep steel blue.’
The Texans enter 2026 looking to build on three very promising seasons under head coach, DeMeco Ryans and quarterback, CJ Stroud. In Stroud’s rookie 2023 season, they won the AFC South with a 10-7 record, only to lose at the Ravens in the divisional round of the playoffs. They matched that record in 2024, once more winning the AFC South with a 10-7 record and, once more, losing in the divisional round of the playoffs. This time they went down 23-14 at the Chiefs. For the first time in their history, the Texans made the playoffs for three consecutive seasons in 2025 and improved on that 10-7 record when finishing 12-5. Once again, though, they couldn’t make it through the divisional round when losing 28-16 to the Patriots.
The verdict: Sleek, aggressive, and unmistakably Houston. The number font is especially good.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Owned by the Glazer family, the Buccaneers have brought one of the most famous, or infamous, depending on your point of view, uniforms to the NFL. But the ‘creamsicle’ is not their primary jersey. That’s predominantly red, just like one of the Glazer family’s other interests: Manchester United.
Last season was the first time the Bucs had missed the playoffs since 2019. For a while, all things were looking rosy with their 6-2 start, their best since 2021. However, they soon found themselves 7-9 after losing seven of their next eight games with Baker Mayfield’s performances being called into question. They still had a shot late into the season and did their part, beating the Panthers, but a win for the Falcons over the Saints meant the Bucs were out of playoff contention.
The verdict: The current design successfully combines modern polish with the franchise’s old-school identity.

Cincinnati Bengals
In 1981, the Bengals added what’s now an iconic element to their uniforms: the tiger stripes. The current iteration of that dates back to 2021, with the home jersey a striking black with orange stripes. But it’s a uniform that has not appeared in the NFL playoffs since 2022, when the Bengals lost out to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.
In Joe Burrow, the Bengals have one of the most highly regarded quarterbacks in the game, as well as one of the NFL’s best wide receivers in Ja’Marr Chase. However, 2025 was a disappointing season for all in Cincinnati, with the Bengals having their worst season since 2020 with a 6-11 record. An injury to Burrow in week two did a lot of damage, with the Bengals going on a run of 1-8 without him, having started the season 2-0.
The verdict: The stripes are doing all the right things. Probably the best example of a modern NFL jersey having an unmistakable identity.

Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens were founded in 1996, but are undoubtedly one of the strongest franchises in the NFL and perhaps have one of the most iconic looks to boot too, with the purple jerseys and full embrace of Edgar Allan Poe. This season marks a new set of jerseys for the Ravens, switching to a shade they call ‘midnight purple’ to radiate in the light and reveal darkness when fading in the team’s words. There are also raven’s wings on the collar. It’s a big deal, too, with it the first time in 26 years the Ravens have unveiled a new uniform collection.
Under new coach Jesse Minter, the Ravens will be one of the Super Bowl favourites once more – it’s hard not to be with one of, if not the best quarterback in the league in Lamar Jackson. Last season, however, couldn’t have gone much worse. They had a losing record of 8-9 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2021 after a final day loss to the Steelers. That saw the end for John Harbaugh in Baltimore after 18 seasons. Minter joined from the Chargers in the off-season, where he had served as defensive coordinator. With Minter backed by an impressively assembled coaching team, hopes are high they could make a charge for the Super Bowl.
The verdict: The 2026 update is excellent: cleaner numbers, sharper detailing, and those raven-wing collar elements.

Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are perhaps one of the most iconic franchises in all of football, even if they haven’t had the recent success to match under the enigmatic Jerry Jones. With a simple blue star logo and white home jerseys, they also have one of the most iconic looks in all of football.
It’s been two years since the Cowboys were last in the playoffs. Last season saw a 7-9-1 record, with that ‘1’ a 40-40 epic against the Packers in week 4. That represented the first Cowboys tie game since 1969. Last season was their first without Micah Parsons, after a blockbuster trade to the Packers, and coincidentally saw a league and franchise-worst of 511 points being allowed against them. That equates to around 30.1 points per game. It’s clear, therefore, where Cowboys fans will be looking for improvement as their season gets underway against the Giants.
The verdict: Yes, I’m counting the white home jersey. It’s arguably the most recognisable NFL jersey ever.

San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers date back to 1946 and became the first major sports team to make San Francisco their home. It’s a franchise with interests in English football too, with the enterprise branch owning Leeds United of the Premier League and half (51%) of Scottish giants, Rangers. It’s also a franchise with good history in the NFL: 31 playoff appearances, 22 divisional championships, eight conference championships, and five Super Bowls. Only the Patriots and Steelers have more.
Playing in red, the 49ers finished 12-5 as the NFC West saw three of its teams make the divisional round in 2025. In the wild card round, the 49ers won 23-19 at the 2024 Super Bowl champions, the Eagles. In the divisional round, they came up against who would go on to become the 2025 Super Bowl champions, the Seahawks. They were ultimately mauled, losing 41-6. With the likes of running back Christian McCaffrey, defensive lineman Nick Bosa, linebacker Fred Warner, offensive lineman Trent Williams, and tight end George Kittle on their roster, they will be strong in 2026 as they get set to kick off their season in Australia versus the Rams.
The verdict: Red, gold, white. That’s it. That’s the formula. One of the few NFL jerseys that genuinely looks perfect from every angle.

Los Angeles Chargers
Taking top spot on our list are the Chargers with a jersey that perfectly matches their name. In 2020, they launched their new uniforms featuring powder blue as a primary colour, and ‘sunshine gold’ shoulder bolts. But while their look is undeniably fantastic, their success on the field still needs some work.
They did make the playoffs last season after an 11-6 winning record under Jim Harbaugh, but lost to eventual Super Bowl finalists, the Patriots, in the wild card round. The Chargers have the worst winning percentage in the playoffs of anyone in the NFL, winning just one AFC Championship.
The verdict: The best home jersey in the NFL. Powder blue and gold bolts and white numbers is an absurdly good combination. Don’t change a thing.
Tottenham are considering making a move for Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo, according to TEAMtalk.
The north London club have been incredibly active in the transfer market this summer but things have slowed down in terms of incomings since Sandro Tonali joined the club in early July.
Tottenham are in desperate need of adding to their attack over the coming weeks as Roberto De Zerbi looks to get his team challenging for the top four once again.
Goals were a real problem for Spurs last term and the addition of a new attacker who can either play centrally or out wide could prove huge come May when it comes to the club achieving their goals or not.
Fernandez-Pardo, who can play as a centre-forward or on either wing, is the latest name to be linked with a switch to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after wowing in Ligue 1 for Lille over the past two seasons.

Tottenham certainly won’t have it all their own way if they do indeed move for Fernandez-Pardo.
According to TEAMtalk, Atletico Madrid have launched a £30m move for the versatile 21-year-old.
The Belgian is believed to be open to a move to the Spanish capital as Diego Simeone’s team look to boost their attacking options amid question marks over what happens with Julian Alvarez.

TEAMtalk report that Fernandez-Pardo is now an alternative attacking option for Tottenham, with Savinho’s potential move from Manchester City dragging on.
City themselves are interested in Fernandez-Pardo, who finished last season with eight goals and seven assists in 41 games for Lille in all competitions.
What Tottenham can expect from Fernandez-Pardo
Fernandez-Pardo looks destined to secure a big move away from Lille at some point in the not too distant future.
Right-back Thomas Meunier knows his fellow countryman very well after playing alongside him for Lille and Belgium over the past two years.
Speaking back in April, the 34-year-old, who joined Sunderland this summer, waxed lyrical about the youngster and outlined just how talented he is.
“Compared to the start of the season, when he’d sometimes play on the left, on the right, as a number 9, or even come off the bench, you can tell he’s taken his game to the next level,” said Meunier.
“Matias has an incredible array of skills: he can play in support, get behind defenders, dribble…he needs to realise just how talented he is because there aren’t many players like him. When you have a player with that kind of potential, you have to set even higher standards for him.”
Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven is the current fastest recorded player in Premier League, after reaching speeds of 37.38km/h, but it is nothing compared to Fernandez-Pardo, who is regarded as one of the fastest players in Europe.
His Belgian teammates have claimed the 21-year-old has reached speeds of 39km/h in sprint tests, although the player himself claimed it was more like 38.5km/h.
Michael Carrick will have some big decisions to make when it comes to naming his first starting XI of the new 2026/27 Premier League season.
Carrick was installed as the permanent manager at Old Trafford following an impressive spell as caretaker boss in the second half of last season when taking over from the sacked Ruben Amorim.
He guided United to third in the table and qualification for this season’s UEFA Champions League, with the Red Devils actually enjoying the best record of any team in the calendar year of 2026, outperforming champions Arsenal by one point.
Marcus Rashford could make things difficult for Amad Diallo
Heading into the 2026/27 campaign, expectations are high and Carrick will have a job of managing his players through domestic and European campaigns this time around.
Carrick may welcome Marcus Rashford back into the fold this season, having been frozen out by Amorim before him and being sent out on loan to Barcelona.
The Spanish giants failed to complete a permanent deal for the 28-year-old, however, and he is back in training with his United teammates now in pre-season, following England’s run to the semi-finals of the World Cup.
He’s our player, you know, and he’s come back great. He’s just like any other player. I’ve known Marcus a long time and, you know, he gives us something a little bit different. And he’s been in great spirits since he’s been back.
Carrick is keen to integrate Rashford back into the squad and give him just as much of a chance as anyone else, and that could impact Amad Diallo’s game time.
Diallo had to compete with Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko for a place in the frontline of Carrick’s side last season and throwing Rashford into the mix could make things even more difficult for the Ivorian.
Much was made of the front three of new signings Mbeumo, Cunha and Sesko all reaching double figures for goals in their first season in the Premier League, something which had not been done since 2012/13.
Diallo has a big role to play under Michael Carrick
Diallo was well utilised by Carrick, however, playing 17 games under the Englishman, although he only managed one assist during that time, that coming on the final day of the season against Brighton. But Carrick has admitted he is a “big fan” saying the forward has “so much talent” and his “attitude is fantastic”.
The 24-year-old has also started each of United’s last three pre-season friendlies against Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Leeds United, showing he is trusted by Carrick.

Against Leeds, the Manchester Evening News gave him a seven out of ten rating, saying: “Quicksilver feet on a couple of occasions and could have scored after good work from Zirkzee. Has made an impact since his return from the World Cup.”
He was also handed a seven in the Sun’s ratings, who said: “Has got better with each of his three starts. Nearly matched Bryan Mbeumo for directness as he gave Leeds youngster Rhys Chadwick a grilling. Seems well-placed to start the season.”
Joshua Zirkzee, who has been linked with an exit from the club, may have taken the plaudits for scoring the goal in the 1-1 draw with Leeds that United won 5-4 on penalties, but Diallo has quietly shown he should be challenging Mbeumo, Cunha, Sesko, Fernandes and Rashford for a starting spot in the team.
Tottenham Hotspur have lacked a prolific centre-forward since losing Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, but this painful wait for a serious replacement may finally be close to coming to an end.
The Lilywhites have gone big this summer in an attempt to resurrect their broken squad and provide Roberto De Zerbi with the tools to commence a full-scale rebuild. Sandro Tonali has arrived for £100 million as the marquee addition, and the Italian has been accompanied by Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi in a statement window.
That said, Spurs are yet to address their highly flawed attacking unit. They continue to be linked with Savinho and Cody Gakpo as wide options, but there is an acknowledgement that a striker is also needed to propel De Zerbi’s side towards the European places.
The void left by Kane is still keenly felt in N17, although the divisive Victor Osimhen could be on the verge of filling that void.
Tottenham Haven’t Adequately Replaced Harry Kane
Kane was the centrepiece of Spurs’ side for a decade, leading the North London club to punch above their weight. Netting 20 goals or more in nine consecutive seasons, the Englishman carried Tottenham through a golden era in which they were unfortunate to emerge with no silverware.

In 2023, Spurs allowed their greatest ever player to leave the club so that he could play at the highest level for a side competing for the Champions League. Bayern Munich swooped in, landing the then-30-year-old for around £82 million.
Since then, Tottenham have tried and failed to source a replacement. Richarlison was initially identified as the man to succeed Kane, but the Brazilian managed just 12 goals in the 2023/24 season — his first as the number nine in the England international’s absence.
Then, Dominic Solanke was acquired for £55 million in the summer of 2024. The former Bournemouth star enjoyed a relatively productive debut campaign for the Lilywhites, netting 16 goals and registering eight assists across all competitions, but an injury-plagued second season has seen his Spurs career slip by the wayside.
Tottenham are now seeking a new potential solution in this position.

Victor Osimhen Could Be the Answer For Tottenham
Spurs have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Osimhen this summer. The Nigerian has spent the last two years plying his trade in Istanbul for Galatasaray, but is reportedly eager to return to a top-five league this summer.
While his wage package might be astronomical, this is certainly a deal Spurs should be doing everything in their power to pull off. Like Kane, Osimhen has enjoyed fruitful season after fruitful season in front of goal, and would therefore finally provide the Lilywhites with a dependable frontman again.

The 27-year-old may not be capable of replicating some of Kane’s playmaking skills. He’s not renowned for dropping into the midfield and spraying passes to on-rushing wide players, or being involved in neat combination play in and around the box.
However, he is extremely effective at getting on the end of moves inside the box. His physicality and intelligent movement allows him to create separation from defenders, meaning he doesn’t need elite service to still find the back of the net on a regular basis.
Spurs are never going to be able to truly replace Kane. The Leytonstone-born man is a generational talent – a unique profile who cannot simply be unearthed in a new player every ten years.
However, the Lilywhites can find a player who will score goals at a similar rate, who can operate in a slightly different way to Kane. Osimhen is the best option on the market for the North London club, and De Zerbi ought to be pushing his board to make the deal happen.
