Supercomputer Predicts Entire F1 Race From 22nd to 1st

Published

on

This weekend, we will finally have our next Formula 1 Grand Prix.

A 27-day hiatus for the summer break has left fans longing to see their favourite drivers back on the grid, and this event has fireworks written all over it.

As the grid descends on Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix, it is Max Verstappen who is making waves and headlines. The four-time world champion has just signed a new contract with Red Bull, keeping the Dutchman for another two years as his contract extends from 2028 to 2030.

In what is set to be the final Dutch Grand Prix at the circuit, the stakes are even higher for Verstappen as he looks to not only prove that he and Red Bull are a force to be reckoned with, but also win for the last time on home soil.

The home favourite will be desperate to deliver, but will face strong competition from the likes of Lando Norris, Kimi Antonelli, and the Ferrari boys.

This weekend will also come with an unexpected twist, with Liam Lawson set to drive alongside Verstappen as he replaces Isack Hadjar, who was ruled out with a wrist injury.

With the championship battle reaching a crucial stage, we have asked the Supercomputer to predict how Sunday’s race will unfold. Let’s see what the Dutch Grand Prix has in store for us.

Arvid Lindblad

Racing Bulls

Arvid Lindblad

Arvid Lindblad could cap off an extraordinary rise through the ranks, with the Supercomputer predicting the teenage sensation to cross the finish line in 10th position.

The Racing Bulls driver has shown himself to be a force to be reckoned with on the grid, with the 19-year-old already picking up 23 points across this year’s championship.

With Yuki Tsunoda returning to the team after Liam Lawson’s promotion, Lindblad will have a different dynamic alongside him this weekend, and it will be key to see if the young Brit will be able to deal with a change of teammate.

A top-10 finish would represent another encouraging result as he looks to become an F1 mainstay.

9

Liam Lawson

Red Bull

Liam Lawson

Liam Lawson’s unexpected return to the senior Red Bull team has given the New Zealander a chance to show why he deserves a spot driving next to Verstappen.

Lawson sits 25 points behind the incumbent Hadjar, but has a key chance to see him move up the rankings this weekend. While it is near impossible for him to draw level with his senior teammate – the 24-year-old would have to place first in the Grand Prix – this will be a key race for him to make up some of the ground that is currently between the two drivers.

Finish in the top 10, and there may be a conversation about whether he is ready for another first-team slot.

8

Pierre Gasly

Alpine

Pierre Gasly

Sitting just one point off Lawson in the overall standings, an eighth-placed finish would see him leap over the New Zealander and into eighth in the standings.

The Alpine driver has established himself as one of the more dependable performers outside the sport’s leading teams and will be hoping to convert that consistency into another points-paying finish.

If the Frenchman is able to prove the Supercomputer wrong and finish in a position even higher than expected, talks of a move to a championship-contending side could start to muster.

7

Lewis Hamilton

Ferrari

Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton celebrates with his trophy on the podium after finishing third in the British Grand Prix

It has been a strong first half of the season for the seven-time world champion, but the Supercomputer is predicting his worst race yet, with Hamilton expected to finish just seventh in the standings.

The British driver has had his strongest start to the F1 calendar in a number of years, finishing on the podium on five occasions and winning the Barcelona Grand Prix.

He still sits 50 points off top-placed Kimi Antonelli, and a seventh-placed finish would all but end any real chance of a title charge.

6

Charles Leclerc

Ferrari

Charles Leclerc

Hamilton’s teammate, however, is expected to do one better than the Brit and finish just outside the top five standings.

The Monegasque driver has shown his prowess across races this year – in particular the Silverstone circuit in the United Kingdom as he pipped British drivers Hamilton and George Russell to a first-placed finish – yet consistency has remained elusive.

Zandvoort presents another stern test, with the tight and twisting circuit demanding precision from both driver and machine. A fifth-placed finish would be seen as an okay result, but Ferrari have set their sights a lot higher.

5

George Russell

Sitting just inside the top five is Britain’s own George Russell.

The 28-year-old had a fantastic start to the season, winning the opener in Australia before following it up with a second-placed finish in China.

Since then, however, teammate Antonelli has proved to be the finer driver of the two and has pulled away in the rankings, leaving Russell down in third place.

With rumours swirling over a possible exit for the Mercedes team, a fifth-placed finish may see those rumours spark to life once more.

4

Oscar Piastri

McLaren

Oscar Piastri

After a horrific start to the campaign which saw him with two consecutive do-not-starts, Oscar Piastri has forced his way back into the standings, and currently resides in seventh place.

The nine following stages since his controversial start have been inconsistent, but he has still managed to finish in a podium position on two occasions.

This time, the Supercomputer has predicted him to finish just outside the podium places, but in a very respectable fourth place. 12 points will serve him well, but it is undoubtedly lower than he would like.

3

Kimi Antonelli

Mercedes

Fifty points clear with just 12 Grands Prix to go, Kimi Antonelli just needs to ensure he stays calm and picks up consistent podium places to guarantee he walks away with the 2026 Drivers’ Championship.

If he does indeed find himself lifting the coveted trophy high, he will become just the third Italian to do so, the first since Alberto Ascari won his second in 1953.

Antonelli will, without a doubt, be more than happy with a third-placed finish, especially on Verstappen’s home soil.

2

Lando Norris

Predicted to just miss out on top spot is the reigning champion Lando Norris.

The 2026 campaign has not held up the expectations that so many believed it would for Norris. After narrowly beating four-time world champion Verstappen by just two points in the overall standings in 2025, Norris’ form has taken a downward spiral as he finds himself sitting fifth in the standings.

A second-placed finish will do the Brit well, as he looks to build upon his first-placed finish in the most recent Grand Prix in Hungary.

1

Max Verstappen

Red Bull

Max Verstappen

Could it truly be anyone else? In what will be the last Dutch Grand Prix for the foreseeable future, Verstappen has a point to prove in what may be the most unfeigned win of his career.

This campaign has not been one to write home about for the Dutch driver. Just four podium finishes, no overall wins, and he sits 110 points behind Antonelli – more than his current points total.

But there is a chance now for Verstappen to have a defining moment of his career, claiming victory in what will be the last time he will drive in front of home fans.

Man Utd in Talks to Sign Barcelona Star Alejandro Balde

Published

Manchester United have held talks over the potential signing of Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde, with Fabrizio Romano providing the latest.

It’s no secret that United are in the market for a new left-back this summer, with Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall reportedly one of their targets.

Unfortunately for the Red Devils, a deal with the Magpies is looking tricky to do, as they don’t want to lose the England international.

United currently have Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu as their primary left-back options, but they might be looking for a younger profile, with the former reaching the latter stages of his career.

Shaw has regularly suffered from injury problems throughout his career, although last season was an anomaly after he stayed injury-free.

Reporting on X, Italian journalist Romano has confirmed that Manchester United have held talks with the camp of Barcelona left-back Balde over a possible move.

The respected journalist confirms that the Barcelona star is happy at the La Liga giants, so it’s unclear if they’d be able to secure his signature.

“Manchester United keep looking for new left back, next priority after Baleba deal. There have been calls with Alejandro Balde’s camp over last days to understand if exit is possible and conditions. Balde, happy at Barcelona.”

Romano confirms that signing a left-back is United’s next priority after they secure the signature of Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba.

Romano has confirmed that Manchester United are expected to reach an agreement to secure the signature of Baleba from Brighton this summer.

It’s no surprise that the Red Devils are in the market for another midfielder, despite already bringing in Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.

Santos is relatively inexperienced in the Premier League, while Tielemans is reaching the latter stages of his career.

Someone like Baleba is the ideal balance of a player with plenty of Premier League experience but also many years ahead of him.

Baleba is also ideal in terms of profile, being a physical ball-winning midfielder who is also comfortable in possession.

It’s not going to be cheap to secure his signature in the summer transfer window, but the signing could completely revolutionise their midfield when coupled with Tielemans and Santos.

Leeds Join Race With Nottingham Forest to Sign Chelsea’s Liam Delap

Leeds have joined the race to sign Chelsea striker Liam Delap in the summer transfer window, according to GIVEMESPORT sources.

Delap made the move to Stamford Bridge last summer after Chelsea activated his release clause following Ipswich Town’s relegation from the Premier League.

The English striker struggled to make an impact since joining the club, and he is now attracting interest ahead of a potential move in the summer.

Chelsea have a number of options in the centre forward position, including Nicolas Jackson and Joao Pedro.

Leeds might be looking to bring in another centre forward option due to Joel Piroe making the move to West Ham this week.

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Leeds have now entered the race to sign Chelsea striker Liam Delap in the summer transfer window, but they face competition for his signature.

Nottingham Forest and Everton are also believed to be keen on the powerful forward in the final weeks of the market.

Chelsea sources say that Delap has a £50 million asking price, but the interested clubs believe that a deal in the region of £40 million would be possible.

Delap made the move to Chelsea for a fee of £30 million. Despite enduring a difficult time last season, the Blues are looking to make a profit if they sell him this summer.

Leeds have enjoyed a strong transfer window so far, and they’re clearly looking to add to their striker department before the market closes.

So far in this summer transfer window, Leeds have secured the signings of James Trafford, Tarik Muharemovic, Nico Elvedi, and Harry Wilson.

The Yorkshire club have significantly improved their centre-back options while bringing in one of the most highly rated young goalkeepers in the world.

Further forward, Harry Wilson, who enjoyed a strong 25-26 season with Fulham, has signed on a free transfer.

Leeds’ business doesn’t appear to be over just yet, though, with signing a centre-forward clearly one of their priorities in the final weeks.

Delap would certainly provide some strong competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin up front, and they are similar profiles in terms of being powerful strikers.

Man City Prepared to Bid for Enzo Fernandez as Five-Man Transfer Shortlist Emerges

Manchester City have several midfield options and are expected to sign two between now and the end of the window, GMS understands.

Man City have lost Rodri and Bernardo Silva to Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively already this summer, while Tiijjani Reijnders has joined Saudi side Al-Qadsiah.

The Dutchman might not be the last midfield exit of the summer transfer window however, with Newcastle United in club-to-club talks with the eight-time Premier League champions over a deal to sign Nico Gonzalez.

Should the Spaniard join the aforementioned trio in leaving the Etihad, it would leave Enzo Maresca with Elliot Anderson, Mateo Kovacic, Nico O’Reilly and Matheus Nunes as his only specialist central midfield players, although the latter duo have often played as full-backs.

City are advancing in talks to sign Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, with the 18-year-old excelling as a first-team regular with the Ligue 1 outfit, before shining for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup.

The teenager may well be the first new midfielder through the door at the Etihad, but Maresca wants at least one more to boost his squad ahead of the September 1 deadline.

According to GMS sources, Man City are prepared to make a bid for Enzo Fernandez despite the 5pm deadline Chelsea set for a deal last Friday expiring.

The Blues were demanding £120m for the Argentina international at that point, and it remains to be seen what City would need to offer now to convince their Premier League rivals to sell at this late stage of the transfer window.

It’s no secret that Maresca is a big fan of Fernandez, having already worked alongside him at Stamford Bridge previously. Speaking in 2025, the Italian boss said:

He behaved as a leader and he is doing top, fantastic. For sure Enzo has taken a step forward in that sense. He is showing how good a leader he is, how good he is on the ball, how good he is off the ball and we are delighted with him.

The 25-year-old isn’t the only English top flight midfielder City are looking at in the final days of the window, with Fernandez’s Argentine international teammate Alexis Mac Allister at Liverpool also appreciated.

Meanwhile, they have also made an enquiry for Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton, as revealed on last week’s episode of GIVEMESPORT’s Market Madness podcast.

City also made an approach for another English midfielder last month in Bournemouth’s Alex Scott, although the Cherries have so far successfully kept hold of the Three Lions international, having already turned down a £64m bid from Chelsea earlier this summer.

As they prepare to embark on their first-ever European campaign under new manager Marco Rose, the south coast outfit insist the 22-year-old is not for sale.

One newer name on City’s list is Manu Kone of AS Roma, with the France international also linked with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal this summer.

  • Enzo Fernandez
  • Alexis Mac Allister
  • Adam Wharton
  • Alex Scott
