While, ultimately, like any sport, it’s all about the winning, it doesn’t hurt to look good doing it too. That’s why we’ve asked AI to rank every home jersey in the NFL, going through every single one of the 32 teams vying to make it to the Super Bowl, from worst to the best.

Home jerseys are the colours that define a franchise. There are even rules in place from the league that dictate how long teams must keep their current uniforms, setting a period of five years, ensuring a sense of continuity and also protecting fans from having to buy a new kit every season.

That means the stakes when it comes to getting it right couldn’t be higher as, after all, who wants to be lumbered with an ugly design for that long?

It’s now less than a month until the 2026 NFL season gets underway, with the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Seahawks, opening their defence against Drake Maye and the Patriots.

It promises to be a season packed with storylines: just how well is Patrick Mahomes going to come back from injury, and will he be able to lead the Chiefs back into the playoffs? How far can the Ravens go with new coach Jesse Minter, as a brand-new era begins in Baltimore? Is this finally the year for Josh Allen and the Bills?

Denver Broncos

Under Sean Payton, playing in their distinctive orange, the Broncos fell at the final hurdle before the Super Bowl last season. In the AFC Championship game, they lost 10-7 to the New England Patriots, having defeated Josh Allen and the Bills and Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars on their path there. It was still a hugely impressive season for Denver, who finished with a 14-3 record, matching their highest win total in their history, as well as earning themselves the #1 seed in the AFC.

Going into 2026, the franchise, which is part owned by F1 superstar, Lewis Hamilton, will be hoping to go one better. Quarterback Bo Nix and co. kick things off against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in a clash which is regarded as one of the best rivalries in the NFL. The Broncos completed their first sweep of the Chiefs since 2014 in the 2025 season, winning 22-19 and 20-13.

The verdict: The 2024 redesign remains one of the best modern NFL redesigns. Tons of Colorado-specific detail without becoming gimmicky.

Miami Dolphins

Matching their team name, the Dolphins‘ home jersey is aqua and appropriate in more ways than one, considering the franchise has rather been sinking rather than swimming in recent seasons. The current logo of the dolphin swimming in front of an orange sunburst was introduced before the 2013 NFL Draft, replacing a dolphin wearing a football helmet that had been the team’s identity since its 1966 inception.

On the field, the Dolphins have not reached the playoffs since 2023 and enter the 2026 season on the back of consecutive losing seasons – 8-9 in 2024 and 7-10 in 2025. This season marks their first under Jeff Hafley and general manager, Jon-Eric Sullivan, as well as a first since 2019 without Tua Tagovailoa as quarterback. Instead, Malik Willis looks set to be the starting QB, having joined from the Green Bay Packers in the off-season.

The verdict: One of the most visually distinctive jerseys in the league. The aqua practically glows on TV.

Washington Commanders

The Commanders unveiled a fully redesigned uniform closet for 2026, stating it to be inspired by their franchise history. That includes a Super Bowl Era Burgundy Jersey, which is the franchise’s home uniform. Between 1982 and 1991, Washington – then known as the Redskins – appeared in three Super Bowls and won four of them. Since then, though, they have struggled to get back there with just five playoff wins to their name and four division titles.

The Commanders had a very impressive 2024 season, led by rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels. They finished with a 12-5 record as Daniels set the record for the most rushing yards by a rookie QB in the history of the NFL. Finishing second in the NFC East, they ended up losing the NFC Championship game to the Eagles. The 2025 season was vastly different, featuring an eight-game losing streak as the Commanders suffered with injuries to key players. They finished with a 5-12 record and will hope to fare far better in 2026.

The verdict: The 2026 return to the Super Bowl-era aesthetic was exactly what Washington needed. Gold plus burgundy is a killer combination.

Houston Texans

The Texans are one of the newer franchises in the NFL, founded in 1999 after Houston’s previous franchise, the Oilers, left for Nashville. They ended up playing as an expansion team in 2002, which makes them the youngest franchise in the entire league. Their uniforms date back to 2024, with the home strip coloured a ‘deep steel blue.’

The Texans enter 2026 looking to build on three very promising seasons under head coach, DeMeco Ryans and quarterback, CJ Stroud. In Stroud’s rookie 2023 season, they won the AFC South with a 10-7 record, only to lose at the Ravens in the divisional round of the playoffs. They matched that record in 2024, once more winning the AFC South with a 10-7 record and, once more, losing in the divisional round of the playoffs. This time they went down 23-14 at the Chiefs. For the first time in their history, the Texans made the playoffs for three consecutive seasons in 2025 and improved on that 10-7 record when finishing 12-5. Once again, though, they couldn’t make it through the divisional round when losing 28-16 to the Patriots.

The verdict: Sleek, aggressive, and unmistakably Houston. The number font is especially good.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Owned by the Glazer family, the Buccaneers have brought one of the most famous, or infamous, depending on your point of view, uniforms to the NFL. But the ‘creamsicle’ is not their primary jersey. That’s predominantly red, just like one of the Glazer family’s other interests: Manchester United.

Last season was the first time the Bucs had missed the playoffs since 2019. For a while, all things were looking rosy with their 6-2 start, their best since 2021. However, they soon found themselves 7-9 after losing seven of their next eight games with Baker Mayfield’s performances being called into question. They still had a shot late into the season and did their part, beating the Panthers, but a win for the Falcons over the Saints meant the Bucs were out of playoff contention.

The verdict: The current design successfully combines modern polish with the franchise’s old-school identity.

Cincinnati Bengals

In 1981, the Bengals added what’s now an iconic element to their uniforms: the tiger stripes. The current iteration of that dates back to 2021, with the home jersey a striking black with orange stripes. But it’s a uniform that has not appeared in the NFL playoffs since 2022, when the Bengals lost out to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.

In Joe Burrow, the Bengals have one of the most highly regarded quarterbacks in the game, as well as one of the NFL’s best wide receivers in Ja’Marr Chase. However, 2025 was a disappointing season for all in Cincinnati, with the Bengals having their worst season since 2020 with a 6-11 record. An injury to Burrow in week two did a lot of damage, with the Bengals going on a run of 1-8 without him, having started the season 2-0.

The verdict: The stripes are doing all the right things. Probably the best example of a modern NFL jersey having an unmistakable identity.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens were founded in 1996, but are undoubtedly one of the strongest franchises in the NFL and perhaps have one of the most iconic looks to boot too, with the purple jerseys and full embrace of Edgar Allan Poe. This season marks a new set of jerseys for the Ravens, switching to a shade they call ‘midnight purple’ to radiate in the light and reveal darkness when fading in the team’s words. There are also raven’s wings on the collar. It’s a big deal, too, with it the first time in 26 years the Ravens have unveiled a new uniform collection.

Under new coach Jesse Minter, the Ravens will be one of the Super Bowl favourites once more – it’s hard not to be with one of, if not the best quarterback in the league in Lamar Jackson. Last season, however, couldn’t have gone much worse. They had a losing record of 8-9 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2021 after a final day loss to the Steelers. That saw the end for John Harbaugh in Baltimore after 18 seasons. Minter joined from the Chargers in the off-season, where he had served as defensive coordinator. With Minter backed by an impressively assembled coaching team, hopes are high they could make a charge for the Super Bowl.

The verdict: The 2026 update is excellent: cleaner numbers, sharper detailing, and those raven-wing collar elements.

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are perhaps one of the most iconic franchises in all of football, even if they haven’t had the recent success to match under the enigmatic Jerry Jones. With a simple blue star logo and white home jerseys, they also have one of the most iconic looks in all of football.

It’s been two years since the Cowboys were last in the playoffs. Last season saw a 7-9-1 record, with that ‘1’ a 40-40 epic against the Packers in week 4. That represented the first Cowboys tie game since 1969. Last season was their first without Micah Parsons, after a blockbuster trade to the Packers, and coincidentally saw a league and franchise-worst of 511 points being allowed against them. That equates to around 30.1 points per game. It’s clear, therefore, where Cowboys fans will be looking for improvement as their season gets underway against the Giants.

The verdict: Yes, I’m counting the white home jersey. It’s arguably the most recognisable NFL jersey ever.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers date back to 1946 and became the first major sports team to make San Francisco their home. It’s a franchise with interests in English football too, with the enterprise branch owning Leeds United of the Premier League and half (51%) of Scottish giants, Rangers. It’s also a franchise with good history in the NFL: 31 playoff appearances, 22 divisional championships, eight conference championships, and five Super Bowls. Only the Patriots and Steelers have more.

Playing in red, the 49ers finished 12-5 as the NFC West saw three of its teams make the divisional round in 2025. In the wild card round, the 49ers won 23-19 at the 2024 Super Bowl champions, the Eagles. In the divisional round, they came up against who would go on to become the 2025 Super Bowl champions, the Seahawks. They were ultimately mauled, losing 41-6. With the likes of running back Christian McCaffrey, defensive lineman Nick Bosa, linebacker Fred Warner, offensive lineman Trent Williams, and tight end George Kittle on their roster, they will be strong in 2026 as they get set to kick off their season in Australia versus the Rams.

The verdict: Red, gold, white. That’s it. That’s the formula. One of the few NFL jerseys that genuinely looks perfect from every angle.

Los Angeles Chargers

Taking top spot on our list are the Chargers with a jersey that perfectly matches their name. In 2020, they launched their new uniforms featuring powder blue as a primary colour, and ‘sunshine gold’ shoulder bolts. But while their look is undeniably fantastic, their success on the field still needs some work.

They did make the playoffs last season after an 11-6 winning record under Jim Harbaugh, but lost to eventual Super Bowl finalists, the Patriots, in the wild card round. The Chargers have the worst winning percentage in the playoffs of anyone in the NFL, winning just one AFC Championship.

The verdict: The best home jersey in the NFL. Powder blue and gold bolts and white numbers is an absurdly good combination. Don’t change a thing.

Arsenal must find a new home for Gabriel Martinelli in the coming weeks to create squad space for a dynamic new left-winger, particularly after what the Brazilian produced in Wednesday evening’s friendly against Como.

The Gunners were held to a draw by Cesc Fabregas’ outfit, with Myles Lewis-Skelly’s 33rd-minute strike cancelled out by Martin Baturina’s sensational effort on the stroke of half-time. The result meant that Mikel Arteta’s side claimed just one win across their four pre-season matches – not the form the Spanish boss would’ve hoped for heading into the new campaign.

While all eyes were on Bruno Guimaraes as he made his debut after signing from Newcastle United last week, Martinelli’s subdued display has also sparked conversation.

Galatasaray reportedly submitted a £38 million bid for the 25-year-old winger this week, and thus, this showing at the Emirates may have been his last in a red and white shirt.

Gabriel Martinelli Fails to Impress in Arsenal’s Friendly vs Como

Martinelli has a year left on his contract at Arsenal, and while there’s an option to extend his deal by another 12 months, many assumed last season would be his final in N5.

However, after returning to training at the beginning of last week, following his involvement with Brazil at the World Cup, and after Arsenal failed to secure a deal for Vinicius Junior, many speculated that Martinelli might be granted one final year at the Emirates.

The left-wing options on the market for the Gunners are uninspiring, and thus, fans have been arguing that there is, in fact, a case to keep Martinelli.

However, after his muted outing against Como and the proposal from Galatasaray, discourse has rightly swayed back in the other direction.

Handed his first start of pre-season, Martinelli was deployed alongside Gabriel Jesus and Max Dowman in the front three, and he made little to no impact on the game. Stationed in a more central role, Arteta tried to extract some of the exciting qualities the former Ituano man showed at the World Cup, but he saw very little of these eye-catching attributes.

Aside from an exquisite bit of play in the middle of the park, which saw him keep possession despite being surrounded by three or four Como players, Martinelli produced very little.

Creating just one chance and taking just one shot, the wide man was hooked on the hour mark, in place of new signing Christos Tzolis. He certainly didn’t grab this opportunity to show Arteta why he shouldn’t be sold, with his performance described as ‘poor‘ by the Standard in their player ratings.

Arsenal Must Sell Gabriel Martinelli in Coming Weeks

Galatasaray’s offer might fall short of Arsenal’s idealistic valuation of Martinelli, but they may have to fold and accept the offer regardless. If the player doesn’t leave this summer, the Gunners risk losing him for free in 12 months, or for a significantly smaller fee if the option to extend by a year is taken.

Another year on the periphery of Arteta’s squad is likely to see his stock decline, and thus, now is the optimal time to sell.

Myles Lewis-Skelly has been heavily linked with a departure this week, but the Hale End graduate shouldn’t be anywhere near the exit door when Arsenal still have players like Martinelli on their books. The former is a developing youngster excelling in midfield, while the latter is a senior player on hefty wages who simply isn’t justifying this salary with his performances.

Even if the left wing candidates, such as Nico Williams and Kenan Yildiz, have questions marks around them, Arsenal ought to take the risk and try something different, rather than roll out Martinelli for yet another season.

The study, carried out by SeatPick, also details the percentage increase from the previous season, with it being found that only five clubs in England’s top flight have opted against bumping up their prices.

Whether the prices listed in this article are worth the eye-watering amounts or not is up to the fans themselves, with Manchester City among those offering some of the cheapest prices, while the London clubs make the most of their more affluent location.

Most Expensive Season Tickets in Premier League For 2026/27 Season

Arsenal, already home to the most expensive season tickets in the league last year, increased prices again by 3.9%, bringing the cost of their cheapest full season ticket to £1,171. That figure includes paid entry to non-Premier League matches such as the Champions League. The club’s Supporters’ Trust has voiced concern, especially after the club posted a sharp rise in total revenue from £467 million to £616 million for the 2023/24 season, but a league title last term has seen their owners’ hunger for more rise again.

Their London rivals Chelsea have the second-most expensive season tickets. But with their prices starting at £880, the Gunners are more expensive by nearly £300, while Tottenham ensure the capital city dominates the top of the list by pricing fans at £856.

Everton, “The People’s Club”, are next (£770) as they look to bring an exciting new direction to the club with the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, which opened at the start of last season. However, football is still more affordable on the other half of Merseyside, with Liverpool charging a somewhat unusual £734.50 for their cheapest full season ticket.

Newcastle follow, but fans will likely be unhappy with the £38 increase given the massive changes to their squad, which many believe could see them struggle next term. Aston Villa, on the other hand, have justified their five per cent price hike after winning the Europa League, while Manchester United (£646) are wedged between south coast sides Bournemouth and Brighton.

Cheapest Season Tickets in Premier League For 2026/27 Season

As the newest addition to the Premier League, Hull City are the most financially accessible club in England’s promised land, with their 10 per cent increase still seeing the Tigers offer a season ticket for just £396.

By comparison, Coventry City – winners of the Championship under Frank Lampard’s ever-improving management – have increased prices by 15.7 per cent, bringing their ticket price to £625, while Ipswich Town, bouncing straight back up, have increased theirs by just under 14 per cent to £466.

Manchester City, heading into their first season without Pep Guardiola since 2016, have frozen prices at £425 for the third straight season, making them the most fan-friendly among the traditional big six. Fulham raised their prices by 3.5%, bringing season tickets to £503. But, despite offering one of the least expensive season tickets, Craven Cottage also sells tickets worth a staggering £3,086, making them both one of the most and least affordable clubs – having their cake but eating it too.

Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are the other two clubs in the cheapest section to freeze ticket prices (Chelsea and Tottenham also did, but at much higher prices), while Sunderland increased their prices by the most compared to the non-promoted sides.

Their quick rise from Premier League newcomers to a European outfit has seen them hike prices by £60, but their £550 offering is still fairly reasonable, meaning fans won’t have to break the bank to watch their side as they continue their rose-tinted trajectory.

The average cost for a season ticket in England’s topflight was £865.42, which is more than double the average price in any other major European league.
